Hema Maps

I recently sent my AMHXDA3 device to Hema Maps based in Victoria earlier last month for the premium map upgrade. After weeks of hearing nothing and being unable to contact them through their support ticket system or by phone, I feared my device had been lost. It turns out the issue was due to Australia Post—not Hema Maps—as the device had been sitting at my local post office since the 27th of May without being scanned in properly, meaning I never received a pickup notification. While I’m relieved to have my device back, the experience was still incredibly frustrating.
That said, my biggest concern remains Hema Maps’ lack of customer service. Throughout this ordeal, my support tickets went unanswered, and I was never able to speak with anyone on the phone. This lack of communication is unacceptable, especially for a company still actively selling premium upgrades. Customers deserve better responsiveness and transparency.
I hope Hema Maps seriously improves its support systems, as the current setup leaves customers in the dark when issues arise.
Easy to hard wire. Works well BUT will not connect to bluetooth unless you put your phone into Flight Mode. Service is poor from Hema - you have to lodged a service ticket. Which is fine but would be good to speak to a human tech. I am not the only one with the same problem - check social media. Hema is going backwards as a company over the last few years. Be careful as their products are sourced elsewhere then branded Hema. The unit was brought online direct from Hema about Jan 2025
