Terrible hose, its like wrestling a angry snake each time you want to roll it up. I assume they made some changes as my one does not kink like others have mentioned, but it is impossible to kink as it is so rigid you struggle to roll it up. Also the connections are garbage and blow off under pressure. Would advise against buying this product. Show details

Defective hose, buy the competition as they do nothing for you even with evidence – Had it for a few years and the warranty is not worth the packaging it’s on as had anyone seen a Bunnings receipt last a few yrs neverlone 20+ as I’m sure this is what the business is hoping for unlike other businesses they simply see fault and swap it out and state hey keep receipt next time for the good will note. The hose swollen and about to… Read more
burst in several parts, the inside of hose has disintegrated and fine holes has water squirt out due to trapped water in swollen hose. Kinks easily and Hills premium hose ain’t worth it.
Don’t buy – Just like the previous reviews, I thought I was purchasing a premium product , very disappointed with this hills hose as the claims by the manufacturer don’t live up , the hose constantly kinks , and now is also losing it’s shape , won’t be buying this brand hose again Show details
Not a good hose for the job site – Needing quality hoses on my Jobsite is vital, non kink, easy to unroll, no leaks. Make the job easier and smoother. This hose is atrocious. Kinks constantly, pops off the connector all the time, it’s funny when the apprentice gets wet but not when I do. Tried to refund it but they wouldn’t accept it back. I wouldn’t either tbh.... Hills "premium hose" does not meet claimed performance – I too bought a 30m roll of Hills Premium, 5 layer, 3000Kpa, hose from Masters, in late 2016, Even though it was discounted it was still expensive, However i was led to believe that i was purchasing a "premium product". Only started using it this season. The hose kinks nearly every-time you uncoil it. The hose is like spaghetti and collapses on… Read more
warm days.
However - the worst issue is that it keeps splitting / bursting when using a shut off spray gun,
My 30m hose is now 3 various shorter lengths - used as extensions to my original hoses -
surprise? surprise? - Hills premium still keeps bursting.! Yet my 12 y old no brand hose - NO problems.
Contacted Hills - they are not interested - and have advised me they will not talk to any Masters customers.!
Hills.? - I ask, are THEY not responsible for the quality/ performance of THEIR product,?
Do not waste you hard earned on their poor quality "Premium Hose",
And as for their business ethics / customer service policy - its even worse than their product.
Sad to see how low a once proud Australian producer has declined.
Future Support for Australian companies / products - not likely if Hills is indicative.
Does not meet the advertised quality – My Hills premium+ 12 mm x 30m 6 layer dual braided reinforced green stripe garden hose with 9/10 anti kink rating product code 2745198 with 25 year guarantee, does not meet the advertised quality. Purchased on 7/06/2016 from a major hardware chain that has since closed. Paid $89 and believe that was a discounted price. Still have the receipt and… Read more
photo of the packaging.
The hose does easily kink. On a sunny 22 degrees day the hose just collapses flat in your hand. It is starting to delaminate, the surface is going sticky and an opaque colour. In other words it is deteriorating. Its only 16 months old. Don't believe the advertising for this hose. It's not true. It's just like all the other hoses you buy these days. I did have a hose in the early 1980's that was kink resistant and lasted a long time. I forget the brand but think it was called Commando or similar. This is not the Hills quality I expected.
As at 7/04/2018 the Hills hose is now 1 year & 10 months old and frustratingly useless. Kinks everywhere and collapses flat in warm weather. I have run out of patience with it so cut it up and threw it in the wheelie bin. Have now bought the dearest hose I could find at Bunnings. Will see how this one goes.
