Great Service... Great Advice – Greg from Hinkler Accounting has completed my personal and business tax returns for quite a few years now. I am very impressed by his professionalism, knowledge and efficiency. He explains everything clearly and answers all my questions patiently. He saved me a lot of time and money by finding deductions and credits that I didn't know about. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a personal tax accountant.
Service with integrity – I read the reviews below and felt the need to add my experience - I don’t often write reviews however Greg and his team are fantastic - they were nothing but helpful and honest- made things very clear for me. I am a high income earner and had no issues, in fact I was grateful for the service.
Terrible – [Name Removed] does not understand the laws of accounting he makes multiple mistakes on tax returns but never admits to them. He also makes his clients sign forms so that he takes no responsibility for his mistakes.
Terrible – We had three returns completed by Hinkler Accounting we had three returns done. The cost was $594.00 I realized after that some of the deductions where incorrect. So I amended these on MyGov. I had my returns completed by Hinkler Accounting the next year but I decided to check more closely the returns. There where a number of mistakes and it seemed he just made up stuff to put in my return and did not follow what I had supplied him. I complained and got these things corrected. When I received the bill after many months the charge was $994.00 he charged $400 for correcting his own mistakes. I even had to supply him with information from the tax office as he did not know the tax law. It is pretty sad when you need to cut and paste tax law because your accountant is unaware of the tax law.

At our meeting, we asked you to review the tax return that we prepared to confirm that it correctly included all assessable income received and legitimate allowable deductions made for the financial year. It is extremely important that you have record keeping systems in place to ensure that you have all records relating to your tax returns. This ensures that nothing is missed.
We asked you many questions to ensure that you maximised your legitimate claims at our meeting. After the tax return was signed, you provided us with extra information. In addition, there was extra work performed compared to last year. That is why the fee increased from the prior year. We have all the correspondence to provide evidence of the extra work performed compared to the prior year.
You went to the Tax Practitioners Board. After their review of your complaint, they indicated that the fee was not excessive for the amount of work performed. My accountant colleagues thought that the fee was reasonable as well.
