Hisense 65P6 65” TV – Fantastic Picture, Still Going Strong I’ve had the Hisense 65P6 since 2018, and it’s been a fantastic TV overall. The picture quality is excellent — sharp, vibrant, and consistent, even after all these years. It’s well-built and has never skipped a beat. That said, the built-in smart TV interface wasn’t great — slow and… Read more

clunky from the start. But I got around that easily by plugging in a Firestick and later an Apple TV, which gave me a much better streaming experience.

For the price, it was incredible value, and nearly 7 years later, I’m still very happy with it. If you’re after a solid 4K panel and don’t mind using your own streaming device, a Hisense tv is a great choice.

Awful – Used a couple of hours a day. Menus started to not display properly after 3.5 years. Stopped working completely after 4.5 years. Had diagnosed and required a new main board for close to $400 to fix! Did not fix as I'll replace with a reliable TV brand I'll be sticking to Sony and not cheaping out next time. Show details

Only lasted 3 years, garbage!! – Started off with the menus not displaying properly then the TV lost all of its picture. We’re careful with it and only use it 1-2 hrs a day, unsustainable garbage, will never buy Hisense again, worth paying more to get a premium TV that won’t die otherwise you’ll be buying a new unit every 3 years Show details

Would not recommend – Bought in 2019, at first it was great but not long after I started noticing problems such as the lips of people not moving in time as their voice so it would like people were lip syncing and not speaking in time, the remote sometimes plays up making it hard to function the apps on the tv, (YouTube for example) the remote just seems not to… Read more

register with the tv and I’ve even put new batteries in it and I call the tv bipolar because some days it will work and some days it won’t register, I’ve had times where I have to turn the power off on the outlet as the tv doesn’t want to turn on no matter how many times I try.

I wouldn’t recommend this brand. I had a Samsung smart tv and the quality of that tv was more better than this brand and way more easier to use.

I’d Recommend A different brand

(It’s off at the moment as again it’s having its moment of not wanting to turn on)

TV is rubbish – I brought this TV in January 2018 one month before the warranty expired i had a vertical line through the screen and the volume won't work had to have it up at the top of the range on the volume then it would just turn itself of. Had problems with Netflix i couldn't scroll it would just keep scrolling couldn't stop on any shows. I rang Hisense and… Read more

they sent a replacement TV out a week later i have had my new TV for 5 weeks and now have two vertical lines running through the screen and the picture quality is fuzzy and pixelated so i again rang and complained they have now sent me out another TV same brand very worried that the issue will show up again.

GOOD TV - Great After Service – I bought this TV which is 65 inches in January 2019 from JB hi-fi for $1232.00. For the past three years I’ve had no trouble with it, maybe the only thing I can say that does happen to it is sometimes the picture breaks up into little pieces almost looks like a jigsaw puzzle but it doesn’t last long and it doesn’t happen often. I don’t know it the… Read more

weather has anything to do with it or the aerial but I think they call them pixels. But I’m not quite sure about that part. I find that the remote control is a bit difficult to use because one of the buttons called the EPG doesn’t always work and that’s the button that gives you programmes of the shows. However there is another channel button you can use as well..

For the past four weeks the TV started to turn itself off for no apparent reason. So then when I turned it back on it started but after 20 minutes also in the middle of a show it turned off again. Then it got to the point where it turns it self off and I turned it on again and it didn’t go on any more. So I rang Hisense and I got a call centre fellow called Tom who said he will reset it for me and as he was calling at the instructions and I was following what to do the TV went blank and stopped again. So we couldn’t continue.

Unfortunately The TV was JUST out of warranty and Tom said he’ll go and ask his supervisor if it can be fixed under warranty and to my surprise I was told Hisense will honour the expired warranty and yesterday a technician came and put a new motherboard into the back of the TV at no expense to me. So even though the TV’s warranty had expired Hisense did the right thing by giving me excellent customer service.

I guess these days after the warranty time has expired customers can expect any product to give up the ghost. Next time I buy an expensive item I will certainly look for the brand with the longest warranty and also I would buy an extended warranty as well.

But for me I’m giving Hisense the thumbs up.

2 duds and can't get through to the call centre – I have a 65P6 TV with a cooked HDMI port, after 18 months mind you and this already being the second model - 1st one had a faulty panel - but do you think I can get through to them to talk about it? The customer service is seriously unbelievably bad - I first called them this afternoon at 2.45 Perth time or 5:45 Melbourne time and spoke to a man… Read more

named ___ who issued me with a service number. He told me that there were further things I would need to do with the television in front of me so I called back this afternoon at just after 3:30 Perth time and was put on hold for 15 minutes, at which time another man named ___ answered the phone and said that he was taking numbers to call people back the next day! When I asked to speak with a supervisor he said that he was merely a secretary and there was nothing he could do! I was furious because I had already been waiting on the phone for 14 minutes - why would you make someone wait for 14 minutes and then tell them that you were going to take their number and call them back the next day? I hung up the phone and then called back 5 minutes later, at 3.50 Perth time, A full ten minutes before the call centre is supposed to close and received a message saying- 'You have called outside business hours - please call again later.' Honestly, is this the way these people do business? - what an absolute disgrace! - how am I supposed to get in touch with them if I can only call from 5:30 in the morning Perth time when my children are asleep OR up to 4pm in the afternoon Perth time and when I do this they won't even answer my phone call!? - during work hours! Even more frustrating is the fact that I emailed them twice and still received no response! I'm not really holding out a lot of hope for this to be resolved amicably even though I have a faulty product which needs repairing and I need this to be seen to as soon as possible! Just awful.

Great sound and picture. Crappy warranty rules – Ok, so some of you reading this may be looking to buy one second-hand and are wondering why someone might be selling it. I have just picked up a 65P6 that is about 8 months old, for half the new price. The seller apparently had a genuine reason for selling that was unrelated to the quality of the TV. I have to say, from the moment I turned it… Read more

on, it was easy to use. Setup took about 10 minutes. I’m now running the sound through my Yamaha surround sound, but even before that, I was suitably impressed with the sound quality. My wife generally watches her shows without the Surr Sound on and the quality and clarity are tremendous. Switches easily between live TV, Foxtel, YouTube and Netflix. Images and 4K videos are fantastic. My only whine is that the Warranty is non-transferable, and in this day and age of electronic stock control, you shouldn’t need a paper receipt to show when and where the appliance is purchased. Hisense should stand behind their product regardless of whether I’m the first or second owner, provided it’s within warranty.

Best TV Ever! Hisense 4K Series 6 - 55P6 (55 inches TV) – I came from owning Sony TVs before Hisense and I'm happy to find a cheaper replacement with Great 4K picture out of the box and Good loud speakers for a TV. Stopped working after 4 years – This TV only lasted 4.5 years max and now won't start. I treat my things with great care, so I did not trash it. It had a 3 year Warrantee and only lasted 4. I will never buy Hisense again! Talking about being sustainable!! Make things that last long! Why don't we start with that??!! Show details

Tv has good picture. Shocking remote reliability – We have had our tv for around 12 months and are on our third remote. Can’t run tv without a remote as there are no buttons anywhere for manual control. Every three to four months it just dies rendering the tv unusable. Like I said tv is ok but control issues make me recommend you steer clear of Hisense. Show details

If it’s still working, sell it now – Bought in Nov 2018. Died Feb 2022. Was good until it lost picture and sound. Apparently this is a known fault with Hisense that they only last the 3 years. Disappointed and will be replacing with a better brand. Higher up front cost, but lower cost over the life of the product. Show details

It’s OK – This was not a bad TV. Picture quality was okay, sound was okay, it did what it was supposed to do. I knew going in it wasn’t top of the line but for what I paid I was impressed. Colour overall was fine. Dark scenes seemed washed out with halo effect although 4K titles seemed to reduce this. There were little quirks like CEC sometimes working,… Read more

sometimes not and the OS was not the best. Firmware updates were few but that’s not a bad thing (unless you want updated/new apps).

What was really disappointing is it has now died only 3 years from manufacture. It could be repaired (it’s either a control board or faulty LEDs) but for what I paid the cost isn’t worth pursuing.

Would I buy again? Maybe. If I was on a budget and could get one for the right price I would probably give it a second chance. If the price difference for a “quality” model was only $200-$300 I would probably find the extra cash and skip the Hisense.

(specially with Netflix) you get an annoying traling halo to moving images. The image gets better with content played from a hard drive. You have plenty of ports for any kind of input. In conclusion, if you want the best of the best, this isn't probably for you, but if you care about price-quality ration, this is definitely a good option

this is the best yet.

Problems you may have: Out of the box, the TV is set to Shop/Store mode. Which will only run app's or TV for 1 minutes before it reverts to a store display (4k pictures, screen saver type of mode) You will have to turn off Store Mode.

When app's start becoming slow or you are having problems streaming video content, you need to clear the App Cache. By pressing the House icon button and going to settings, system, application settings, clear cache & cookies. I've had no other app issues that others speak of
