feels cheap and hard to get case and screen protectors that fit together but the samsung price equivalent has a worse screen, worse charging and worse cameras

Worst phone ever owned – The phone was a problem right out of the box. Bad wifi signal, poor call quality and slow screen and App response time. Camera quality is quite poor in clarity and light balance. First I thought the home internet was playing up until I did speed tests with other phones. Lined up the HMD pro, Samsung S7 and iPhone 10 on Ookla at 3m from the wifi and hit start at the same time. Results were HMD 9mbps and the other two 30+ Mbps. Having 2.4G and 5G wifi at home I find the 2.4G is often the preferred connection on the HMD and if I force it to use 5G the speed is often half the 2.4G or says "no internet" even when the other phones show no issues at all. Contacted online customer service chat which were completely useless and kept pushing towards a network issue even after explaining the wifi tests I conducted. I'll be taking the phone back to the retailer asap for a refund. It's cheap but unless you just make calls and text it's not worth the anxiety this phone gives you.

Ultra fragile – Fell of the table (600mm) and the screen broke. the I can fix it myself doesn't apply to this phone even if it was advertised as a selling point. Screen was broken before I could set the phone up. warrantee people was answered by a bot and then was non responsive. Seller stated this is normal for "this phone" If you want a phone that will last less than 2 minutes this is the phone for you. I seem to have a different expectation of mechantable quality than HMD.

Buy another brand, any other brand – I recently purchased a HMD Pulse Pro mobile phone. Six weeks later, while powered off .. it bricked itself, now all it can do is restart every 10 seconds. After trying everything (except sending it for repair) ive given up thinking there is any realistic way its ever going to be useful. Reviewing the advertised features: Great cameras = pretty decent, but still uses the same software that distorts selfies. Repair it yourself: Obviously not. But i was able to get the battery out with the help of a flat knife, a tiny screwdriver and some tweezers. Smooth performance: if you like laggy. Battery life: good Support: useless. The suggested techniques were not available on the device. Sending the phone in for repair is not an option. It has personal info on it and I do know what happened with the clinton laptop. My secrets arnt world shattering, but common old personal stuff the no tech person should feel comfortable stealing. Upgrade: Dont bother
