Extremely disappointed expensive item poorly made – Purchased two of these from Bunnings at cost of $60 absolutely wasted my money. The water barely came out then later went to check and the end stopper had blown out so water was pouring out the end of my hose down the driveway used the water pressure valves as indicated. Should have stuck with the old fashioned green drip hoses Returned to Bunnings today and were of no assistance

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $60.

3 rolls totally worthless – I purchased 3 x 30m of the Holman weeper hose from 2 different stores. Each roll has burst or split, causing spraying and inadequate soaking and weeping. I thought the first was just unfortunate, but to happen on 3 different rolls with 2 seperate pressure supplies is just rubbish. I could not recommend highly enough to stay well clear of this product.

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $50.

Be careful--12mm and 13mm products are not the same? – Have been using an earlier version of this product with "13mm" on the packaging (still 30m Holman weeper hose) connected to 13mm polypipe and behind a 200kPA PRV (measured with a gauge) without issue so far, and with only a small amount of water weeping out in a 30min interval. I inadvertently purchased what seems to be a newer version of this product with "12mm" on the packaging. This new one, to put it bluntly, appears to be completely useless. Instead of weeping slowly over 30min and resulting in the soil becoming adequately damp, it creates a sudden flood within 2min. Same product but perhaps a different version/material being used, or poor batch quality control and one batch was 10 times more restricted than the other at weeping water out. Even as low as 10kPA (again measured with a gauge) the newer hose weeps out far more water than anticipated and new problems are introduced including uneven flow of water along even 4m of this hose (much more water output in the first 2m of hose, less in the tailing 2m) and problems with long mainline polypipe runs. Will be returning the hose and avoiding this type of product in the future in favour of pressure compensated dripline that are more consistent and accurate in their flow rate.

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $38.69.

I had left some more of this 12mm labelled hose in part of the garden, and it turns out that over time the parts of the hose exposed to the weather for the longest period of time emit significantly less water than sections installed a month afterwards. Older hose starts to become a weeper hose over time whereas newly installed hose is definitely in the soaker hose category. Whether the hose was exposed to UV/sunlight or completely covered under mulch doesn't seem to have made a difference to this observation. Perhaps it's hot/cold cycles that cause the pores in the rubber hose to close up over time, or fine particles or dirt being sucked up from the ground and blocking the pores?

If anyone is set on using this type of product I would suggest installing an entire zone on the same day or weekend so that you get consistent weathering of the hose and thus consistent watering within the same zone. You would then need to adjust the timing of each zone over time as the hose starts to emit less water over time. And hopefully 1 year later the hose is still emitting and the pores in the rubber not completely blocked up/closed!

Garbage Cost me a fortune – Purchased this from Bunnings to slowly irrigate my front garden while away on a trip for 4 weeks. The tap had the restrictor and the hose split must have been within days. Came home to soaking from lawn, and then a $1000 water bill

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $37.99.

Absolute Garbage!!! – I purchased 5 of these to service a series of long garden beds . Within weeks 4 had split so many times they were rendered useless. Also a holman dual tap splitter (brass) This failed at the braze . The water pressure locally is not that strong so it is not a pressure issue. rubbish. I will never purchase Holman again.
