Had to return mant times – I've had 5 of these over the last few years. All I've had to return due to some type manufacture issues such as plastic top connector to tap snapping or breaking. It's my view that these are not strong enough to hold the weight of 4 hose connections. The last unit was returned yesterday, due to wifi connection failure. Whilst it is a affordable unit and the wifi is very easy to connect to, I won't be replacing it again with another Holman unit. It's more trouble than what it's worth.
Great app, rubbish hardware – Last year I needed to replace my automatic watering system. I needed to water 3 zones so I bought the BX4 in June 2022. The iGardener software is brilliant, so easy to use. The controller worked well until zone 3 stopped working. So I switched the hose to zone 4. In May this year, another zone stopped working so I took it back to Bunnings and got a new one. I could never get zone 4 to work but I only needed 3 zones so that we OK. Today (October 2023) I found that zones 1 and 3 weren't working. They would run on manual but not on automatic. I have returned the unit to Bunnings for a refund. I am disappointed that this is a piece of junk. It has great potential but the quality of the product is sub-standard.

Constantly disconnects – The physical product works, it sends water through 4 outlets. The bluetooth and app are crap. The app doesn’t update, drops out from bluetooth - even if device doesn’t move. Can only run a single cycle, can’t change to manual with cycle set, can’t set multiple cycles. May as well be watering myself because the app and/or bluetooth are completely unreliable. Very poor product for price paid.

Hi MonicaR, thank you for your review. The Igardener app is very diverse in its programming ability, however, you cannot overlap programmes. only one outlet will water at a time. Bluetooth does indeed have a range and you must be within 10-20m of the unit for connection. If you need assistance with programming, please call us on 1300716 188 and we will walk thru all the programming with you, 4 outlet programming can be tricky but we are always here to help.
