Holman low pressure water timer – I have a low pressure unit that when activated either in manual or automatic won’t lock in just hammers on and off Pressure is below 600kpa as specified
I hope this is perfect, time will tell – My first foray into low pressure tap timers was with 5 Pope units, which are still working, 3 still on the original batteries, all are over three years old, brilliant, but they stopped making them. Needed more bought 10 Yarden units, what a pile of crap, alsorts of failures. Tried some other cheap units but they are crap too. Just found… Read more · 1
the Holman unit, 4 months ago looking good so far, but they aren't cheap esp when you would like 30 odd. Will keep you updated. Update: July 2023, first Holman C1603 still going well, it is out in the full weather. I have read the other reviews and as such have put a filter at the tank so hopefully will aid in longevity. I have since purchased another 7 units, no failures to date, replacing those cheap ones bought off eBay. Old original Pope units still going strong, though the sun has gotten to the lids ruining the hinges. I'm hoping the open Holman design fairs well with the climate. I don't understand why some have difficulty in setting the timer it's quite simple. Have found that to use on manual, one just needs to turn the right dial to "on" where as the instructions say to set the left dial to reset as well. My only gripe is with the battery, it would be nice if a rechargeable lithium 18650 was used in any future redesign, as two little AAA batts just aren't quite adequate . Wish I could get a better price for ten at a time. Will keep you updated.
Absolute rubbish – I bought three of these last year. one stopped working in a couple of months, and the other two are now leaking through the ball valve when turned off, draining the water tanks and flooding the veggie garden (slowly). Not much use but not much choice at the local hardware. Show details
Bought 3 of these lasy year. Holman Low Pressure Tap Timer CO1603 – 2 worked OK for few months then stopped working. The third on is still going but leaks through the valve when closed. Live in a remote area so very inconvenient. Will look at a fixed electrical unit and try again. Show details
Tap will not turn off – Purchased C1603 from Bunnings. The ball valve will not fully rotate to the closed position and continues to leak when OFF. Emailed Holman service but no response. Unfortunately did not keep receipt so wasted money. Show details
Holman water products are absolute rubbish – Purchased a holman 2 outlet tap timer from Bunnings. First one leaked. Took it back and swapped for another one. Second one leaked. Took it back and got another. Third one leaked just a little bit so kept it as I couldnt be bothered swapping again. 6 month later it is cactus and water is pouring out the body of the timer. A similar style Aqua… Read more
products from bunnings which is half the price of the Holman one has been perfect. They package them up to look pretty and quality, but Holman is absolute rubbish. Other Holman fittings I've purchased, Ive had the same experience. Poor quality stuff that just does not last.
Hello Cornetto, is this a manual dual outlet timer, or the… Read more
CO1603 dud – I purchased the new version (CO1603) of this timer from Bunnings today, followed instructions, but it doesn't turn off. I can turn it on, it'll turn the ball 360°, but in the 'off' setting, it just makes a slight nudge and gives up. New batteries, instructions clear enough, just a dud unit from what I can tell. I'm not going to get a replacement, I just want a timer I can trust. Show details
