If I could give NO STARS I would! HomeGround Real Estate Canberra?? Where do I begin. 5 weeks ago, I moved here, back home to Canberra, from a year living in Tasmania. The Unit, on the Net, (although no internal pictures) was affordable and in an area I wanted to live. So I enquired about it! So much went wrong, as a Property Manager in Canberra for 25 years, I should have known that HomeGround Canberra were not a good Agency, when I was offered the property while still in Tasmania, a day after enquiring, with no official application being done and my reference not contacted. I paid 2 weeks rent in advance, yet received an ‘ARREARS’ Notice a week later, then a further one after 10 days (my rent is $340 A week) saying I was $148 in arrears. After complaining and getting a generic ‘ignore’ message, (I wanted an ‘Apology’) I left 4 messages for my ‘Property Manager’ to contact me to complain as I was most certainly NOT in arrears, never have been, never will be!! So I wrote my own REWIEW on their Website - not very flattering!! Now THIS did bring forth a phone call. NOT from my Property Manager but The manager, ever so sweetly asking me to fix up my Review! As things STILL hadn’t changed, I left it as it was. 5 weeks in, and I am STILL having trouble with a ‘Property Manager’ who was probably in Kindergarten when I was working!! Other Reviews on HomeGround Canberra’s Website, are brutal, embarrassing: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I can only ECHO THOSE SENTIMENTS!!
