Homemaker Milk Frother

I was so impressed with this that I bought 3 more to give as gifts. ALWAYS READ THE MANUAL – I fill milk to the middle line of three and always soak immediately after single use. Between making multiple drinks clean residue (quick easy to do) preventing "cooking onto cylinder. This also cools cylinder so that it can heat immediately. BE AWARE MILK HEATS TO 70 DEGREES. I generally top cup up with cold water so I can drink immediately. Show details
Save the money – Didn't always froth the milk, it was good when it worked. After about a week, It still heated up the milk, but the frothing ability stopped. Ended up getting the sunbeam milk frother, which is a lot more expensive, but is already proving to be better :) Luckily got a refund from Kmart for this one. Show details
Awesome products and very affordable – I was a bit apprehensive about buying this as I had read mixed reviews. But decided that the $29 price tag was worth the risk. I followed the directions and filled below the first max line ( not the second one) and the milk was frothed up quickly. I have used it a number of times and have found that for the best fluffiest frothy milk, I fill to halfway between the min and the first max line. You won’t be disappointed. Show details
Great Milk Frother – After using the Homemaker Milk Frother (KMART) for over one year I can honestly say ..it is just great .At the price of $29, it is definitely no waste of money .We used everyday and we love it.The perfect temperature of the milk (cow or goat) and the super foam every time I need it. Important to use as per instructions – I was all fired up to write a horrible review about how the frother basically created large airy bubbles that turned to flat hot milk as soon as it was poured (no foam)... but then I read the instructions I did this with soy milk too so it should be good for everything. You have to make sure u don't go one mm above the max line for FOAM..… Read more · 1
there are two max lines. one for hot milk (my first attempt) and one for foam. I filled it about half way between min and max for foam, and wouldn't you know it gave me amazing thick creamy froth. I was stunned since I was so ready to take the piece of !@*# back...
Turns out it's amazing!!! Wish I could show a pic cos it does actually work
Best so far – Been looking for a milk frother that will heat to a reasonable temperature. I have returned 2 other brands I found unsatisfactory. The homemaker milk frother gives a good hot temperature. I removed the little spring off the frother insert as I prefer my coffee more "flat". That worked well! Overall, for $29 it's a good buy. Waste of money – Terrible product. First one stopped working after a week. Took it back for a replacement - second one also stopped working within a few weeks. Before it stopped working only heated milk to lukewarm temp. Don't bother. At least Kmart replaced it but no point replacing a product that doesn't work - esp compared to my delinghi one that lasted for four years before dying
Great – I was weary of buying this product being used to frothing my milk with my delonghi coffee machine, much to my surprise Iam very happy how it produces excellent froth. It also beeps when it's ready, which you can go do something else and don't need to watch it as its automatic.
A waste of money, time and milk – For the price of this unit, I wasn't expecting much. But even with low expectations, I'm blown away by how downright terrible it is. After 'heating' the milk once, I dipped my finger in to gauge the temperature. Calling it luke warm would be an overstatement; it was still near cold. I thought I would try it again, but again, it came out barely… Read more
warm. Not only does the box boast a heating temperature of 75 degrees, but the instruction book says it should only take 2 minutes. This is just not true.
I know the price of this is tempting, but I wouldn't accept this thing for free. Do not buy it, plain and simple.
All in the Head – Back in the old days (2014), when I wanted a cappuccino I used to heat some milk up in the microwave then I'd pour the hot milk into a jug and use a plunger (from an old Bodum) to whip the milk into a frothy frenzy. It worked a treat but there was a lot of washing up and an annoying amount of spillage when I accidentally let the milk boil over in… Read more
the microwave (a good 50% of the time).
Then one day, I went to K-Mart and there, for the unreasonably reasonable price of $29, was an electric milk frother. I hadn't been aware such a nifty device existed. Even so it was a big moment, making the decision to abandon my old jug-and-plunger technique to give 21st Century technology a shot. That was six weeks ago. Long enough to fiddle with my frother and put it well and truly through its pumping-paces. So. The big reveal. Was my froth still hot? Oh, I should say! Milk is heated to a very warm and bubbly 74 degrees. Ah, but was it as airy and frothy? Yes! It is perfect for milky moustaches. And was it still as creamy and delicious? Absolutely! It was, in every sense, froth-filled heaven!
So now my jug and plunger have been retired to the back of the cupboard, never to be forgotten but to enjoy a long overdue rest. And shiny and slick, in pride of place on the bench, sits the new milk-frother extraordinaire - waiting to whip up more creamy magic whenever I press its big red button.
