Good for a couple of years – I agree with a previous reviewer. I have had two of the hoover stick vac models and this if the second. Dont like: After 2 years they stop sucking that great. And the capicty is small... It fills up fast even for a quick run around. Hair gets stuck around roller and its fiddly to remove and clean Not much suck power unless on turbo and then… Read more
you have 6- 10 mins
Handheld not that great for car - seems to have not a lot of power
Do like: Easy to empty - for a quick empty (not cleaning the filters) you just press a button and the exit dust flap opens.
Like the tools - crevice tool and long brush tool excellent for sliding door runners.
Looking at maybe getting a Bosch Altlet for. the almost 1 ltr capacity, but it doesn’t come with crevice tools and is not also a hand held.
Great small vac but has stopped charging after 2 1/2 years and apparently you can’t replace the batt – Vinyl and carpet, works well but you do have to empty and clean the filter after each use. It is light and easy to use but a small hose connection would be handy. I did expect it to last longer than it has. I paid $249 for it so is not really a cheap stick vacuum. Show details
Very disappointed – Very disappointed with this stick vac as it was purchased in August 2014 and died 15 months later. I'm not surprised that this vac has been discontinued. Anyone wanting a stick vac should really check things out as it would appear that there is only 12 months warranty which is good for Hoover but terrible for us the consumer. Show details

Great – Very happy with the performance and suction, very light weight and easy to maneuver and quite. Great on carpet, vinyal planking & tiles. Emptying it is easy, can't believe what it picks up. Filter is easy to clean. Great for someone with back problems as it goes right down flat to the floor under furniture. Show details
Excellent little vaccum – Have had this for a few years and its been great, never missed a beat. Use it all the time as this is our main vaccum. Great suction. Very easy to maneuver around furniture. Only suitable for tiles or hardwood floors as its not great with carpet, but we have hardwood and tiles throughout so works good for us. Would definetly buy this again. Show details
This vacuum does an excellent job and is lightweight and easy to use – This vacuum is a great machine as it is lightweight and easy to use on both tile and carpet, it is always ready to use as one keeps it plugged into it's station. It is especially good for someone who cannot pull or manipulate a heavy machine and can reach into corners easily. Show details
Negative reviews
Works well for small things – This vacuum works well if you're looking to suction small things such as dirt or sand. Doesn't do much more than that. I have tried this on my tile Floors and for the most part it does a good job. It is light and quiet and get those hard to reach corners. Show details
Great little machine with remarkable suction – I wanted a 'broom' type vacuum and this very efficient light little machine fits the bill perfectly. As it is very efficient it is important to empty the dust container after every use, as well as clean the rotating brush of hair etc and clean the filters, because not doing so will result in 'less suck' as someone said, and cause the brush to stop… Read more

I advise everybody to clean and service the gadget regularly before they complain.
We have used ours for about three years now, but, as with all things that have batteries, it appears that the battery is on its last legs and will need replacing soon.
Alas! Have just found out that the batteries cannot be replaced, therefore need to buy a new machine! That truly sucks! Hoover expect us to throw away a perfectly good machine just because the batteries have died. In view of that I advise strongly AGAINST buying a machine without REPLACEABLE batteries!
It's ok. Hoover is my favourite brand – Suction is pretty good but believe this is very heavy to carry around and believe me i love my old Hoover better then this new one. There is no issues to use, lead is quiet longer. That's makes it very easy to use. Just it's bit loud. But really doesn't bother me. Show details

what a rubbish product – without a doubt, this is the worst stick vac we have ever owned. when it works it's ok, but when it doesn't it's a nightmare. The battery in our first one died within the first 3 months of our ownership, the second one has died just outside of the warranty period (which applies from the original purchase date, not the date of the second one)… Read more

My dad bought one for my mum as a Christmas present last year, and it was dead in the box - Godfrey's refused to give them a DOA refund, and instead sent it to Hoover to be REPAIRED, not REPLACED - the batteries in their second one are already starting to die
My in-laws have a Dyson animal, which appears to be an infinitely superior product to the Hoover - we'll be getting one of those at some stage.
To difficult to put back together after using it – I have the Hoover Model FJ192/1 013 Free Jet 3 in 1. I find it very difficult to put back together. I have arthritis and putting the parts back together just so hard. I don't think this particular model is for us older people. It is not easy to maneuver. I have carpet and tile floors. I thought that this type of cleaner would be so much better for me so am disappointed with it. Show details
Useless – Bought it to use on tiles but it is useless. Godfreys should not be recommending this product. I will buy another cleaner but will not be buying from Godfreys. It has been a complete waste of $200. Hoover should withdraw it from the market. Not doing this brand name any good. Show details
Such a shame – I bought this cleaner thinking it would be good for me as i am now in a small unit . The first question I was asked was how big is my area and as this was recommended by the sales person for my small space plus the fact that it is light and easy to use I was really excited to have bought it and to get it home and try it out - after leaving to… Read more
fully charge for about three days. I agree it is light but need to go back and forth, back and forth in an effort to try to get it to pick up anything of the carpet. Even then I have to constantly be bending over and collecting what it leaves behind which amounts to a good handful each time. I said I had pets and needed to know that the fluff would be removed but alas not everything is collected.
As for the above comments about letting it completely die down surely if we are not told this how are we to know to do it plus apart from using it till it dies how is that done? Don't rubbish us the consumer, its the sales people who ought to be reading these and learning. As a retiree I was so looking forward to having something easy and light to use !!

very useful – because of my health it is a good machine that is light weight and easy to use.Means I do not need to bend over too much and is very flexible to get around to where I need it to go. Picks up a lot of hair and light soil and is easy to empty . Show details
Waste of Money - worst decision – I purchased the vacuum as a light weight, easy clean up solution for crumbs on the tiles around the kitchen and under the dining room table. It doesn't pick up the majority of the crumbs, still have to get out the broom and dustpan and we are constantly having to pull it apart to remove any hair around the brush. Even with cleaning it after every… Read more
use, which is time consuming, it still doesn't do the job it was purchased for (to save time and have crumb free floors). I have had no issues with the charging of the vacuum.
Magic, just like a wand – This unit is tops for day to day running over the carpets. It is light weight, easy to clean and the rotating brushes not only pick up the dust in the carpet pile, but small items like peanuts, paper etc. We use it for the lounge, bedroom and hallway carpet and the unit is so easy to clean, the filter is robust and there are no bags to purchase and replace. Works fine if you treat it right – I have nothing bad to say about this product other than it could use a hose attachment too. Besides that, I see so many negative reviews here from people who did the wrong thing. I was told by the person who sold me this to drain the battery completely first, charge it fully, drain it again and then use as you normally would. You should have… Read more
been given that advice, or know it, as any rechargeable device is the same. The people complaining are the same people who complain their phone batteries don't last as long anymore... it's not the products fault you take it for granted and expect everything to work the way you think it should work. Take some time to read instructions and guides before you winge that you screwed something up and are too pig headed to beleive it's not your own fault.
Not worth it! – Bought this after reading obline reviews which were too good to be true last year. But I'm left disappointed. I does a fair job but needs to be cleaned after every use. Battery is not as powerful anymore as it used to be in the beginning. What's the point of a vacuum cleaner which has to be cleaned after every use. The bush gets clogged with… Read more
hair and becomes ineffective. I'm thinking of getting #electrolux which has a self brush roll cleaning system (blades cut the hair automatically by one press).
Learn to properly use it! – Vacuum cleaners pick up all sorts of CRAP, yet we think they need absolutely no maintenance. This is a smaller, cordless machine, meaning its suction is less than a "20 year old machine" that you plug in. It's not made to clean out the Grand Canyon. These machines need cleaning regularly, meaning the brush as well as the filter. You wash your car… Read more
and clean it out because of the CRUD that collects inside and outside. You think this is any different? IT PICKS UP DIRT!!! Hair is a problem with ALL machines. That means you untangle it after every use. Blame the animals for leaving it all around! If your house is SO dirty that you have to clean up after a barn full of animals 2 times a day, you are definitely using the wrong vacuum cleaner! You want miracles, and that doesn't happen. LEARN how to fully operate AND CLEAN these machines, and maybe you problems will be less.
waste of money – my Hoover vacuum 19.2 v what a waste of money pet hair friendly this is not, brush clog up all the time. not waste your money on the crap, not good on carpet will not pick up, not happy. brought as was talk it was pet friendly. that a joke Show details
2 months tops – The vacuum worked good for about 2-3 times. After that, it lost suction, the brush gets stuck very quickly with literally everything (specially hair). There is no manual of how to remove the brush, best bet is to get it serviced every time, preferably after every time you vacuum. For reference, I live in a small two-bed apartment. I gave up on the vacuum and returned it to godfreys for disposal, even though it was on warranty. Show details
Best investment for a long time – So easily picks up the dirt, just a wonder to move around the house. Nice and light for someone with a disability. Easily cleaned with a push of a button. Turbo is great on the carpet. No problems charging. Love the way the head manoeuvres around corners and the attachments Show details

Piece of Trash – This vacuum cost $200 and I could create more suction from my mouth. My $79 Aldi vacuum has twice the power and I have to use it for areas that I need to re-clean after using this piece of trash. You can run across white fluff and it stays in the carpet - absolute rubbish product Hoover! Show details
OK for a year or two – Although initially this was a good vacuum, I would not touch one now. The brush head stopped rotating within the warranty period which was fixed free of charge. That was only a couple of months out from the warranty expiring. The battery dies very easily now. The only way to keep it going is to totally drain the battery down then recharge it back… Read more
up.
The issue now is that when you turn the appliance off after vacuuming it drops the entire contents onto it's recharge station!! Kids Noodles at al, so one has to get a dustpan and brush and sweep it all up! This happens after it has been fully recharged with a full battery, the cyclone paper filter and dust bowl are spotlessly clean.
I don't believe the battery unit is lithium ion but NiMH so I guess two years is about it's life period?
Buying another appliance, I'd make sure it has the (better??) type of batteries (lithium). It does not matter how many volts are advertised, an appliance is only as good as it's power supply!!
I believe it is a combination of a design fault and simply not enough power to suck the contents up into the bowl although the brush seems to spin round fast.
Just buy it – This is the best little vacuum I've ever owned. At one point, I had inadvertently blocked the opening from the tube into the see through dust collector. I continued to use it like this for a week (I vacuum twice a day as I have 4 pets) and it STILL worked. Finally it started to not pick up little things, so I had a look at it and realised what I'd… Read more
done. I fixed it and the massive suction came straight back. Nothing can stop this little guy. It's lightweight, reliable, easy to clean, easy to change filters. With the rubber coil on the spinning head, I just lift out one end, leave the rubber coil end in place as its tricky to get it back in, and clean it that way. Very easy. Just buy it. It's wonderful.
Great little machine – Have been using my Freejet 3in1 for a couple of years now and couldn't be happier. After the Vax Super 2 was deleted, didn't think any cordless could live up to it, but the Hoover has. It's light, efficient and charge does last for 30 mins or so for quick clean up. It's always ready to go.
Not bad – I never have any issue with my vacuum cleaner from one year my friend bought for me but now I lost charger for my Hoover vacuum 19.2 v while moving my house, can anyone help me where I can buy a new charger and any new battery as well .
hoover freejet 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner – I have had the Hoover freejet, 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner 19.2v. for 7 months. I paid $249 for it and I do not have a good thing to say about it. I feel that I was taken for a ride and have wasted my money. I am also a pensioner and had saved up for this machine. Firstly, my main complaint is that the brush clogs up after hoovering one room. requires me to clean the brush before I continue to another room. The brush actually stopped turning so I took it back to be fixed. A week later, the battery has gone dead. I have not even had it a year. This machine is making work for me as I have to pull out the brush every time I clean one room. It is a pile of junk and I am going to take matter this further. The public should be protected from badly designed machines. I had a wonderful hoover cleaner for 20 years and never had a problem. But after this one, I shall never buy a Hoover again. It is still under guarantee so I am going to ask for a refund from Godfrey's or at least a discount off another brand of vacuum cleaner.
Worked well for 1 month, then useless – When a vacuum cleaner can no longer pick up a small piece of chip you know it's useless. I thought it was okay for the first month on both hard floor and carpet, now however it has no suction at all. It is easy to maneuver and I liked the recharge idea of it however there is no point having a vacuum cleaner that does not vacuum. Waste of money.
A complete waste of money and my time! – Yes, I agree with the previous person. I vacuumed and then had to sweep to pick up what the cleaner would not. It is a complete waste of money and time. I was using it on a slate floor. It seems to be okay on carpet. I am not at all happy with this product.
Waste of money – On my second one a replacement for the first .Doesn't charge fully and charge indicator light stopped working don't waste your time with this peice of $300 rubbish rubbish crap peice of crap crap plastic crap crap rubbish crap crap rubbish crap crap crap crap crapcrap crap rubbish crap crappy crap
Does everything except suck – The unit works well as a dustbuster-but once in stick vacuum mode it won't lift anything. On tiles it's as good as a broom as it just pushes dust around. I bought a much cheaper Electrolux Ergorapido and it is a far better unit-so good infact it will keep my carpet clean. Edit - I pulled it apart and changed the batteries and it's going again. The factory cells were of low capacity, the replacements cost $60. Show details
Good But Very Average!!! – The first 18 months or so was great apart from the belt clogging with fluff every now and again BUT the battery won't hold any decent charge and it is non replaceable. Yeah, yeah, I have run it flat as Hoover and Godfrey's say but it still has no power whatsoever. Very disappointed. :( Godfrey's don't care, they got my money. 4 out of 10. It's a… Read more
throwaway and buy a new one. I see in another review that they are on their 3rd one for the same reason. ALARM BELL'S.
Lite - In Every Way – While it was working ( for 1.5 years) it worked quite well with the occasional problem with clogging of the rubber belt. Suddenly this week my wife noticed a bad noise with a pungent smell coming from it and we had little to no suction. As it was useless and just out of warranty, I pulled it down and discovered to my surprise, they had designed it… Read more
with NO dust protection around the motor. The motor was totally stuffed full of dust and crap from general vacuuming and had basically destroyed itself. How this design flaw made it into production is beyond me and can only assume Hoover has done this on purpose so you have no alternative but to purchase another one.
Because of this, I will never buy another Hoover product and look instead at Dyson hand stick vacuum. It's more expensive, but should last heaps longer than this piece of rubbish ( my wife will be pleased ).
Exceeds my expectation – Practically, very useful. Battery works as new even after more than one year of use. The only problem I encountered is that the belt driving the power brush at the front is worn. Probably due to heavy use. Except that the product is very useful, maneuverable and still powerful. I love it.
