Absolutely pathetic customer service – I purchased a Hozelock 20m Auto Reel in 2019. It stopped retracting the hose in September 2023. As I am in Australia, I contacted Hozelock via the 'Contact Us' form on www.hozelock.com.au on 13 September 2023. I asked for help to fix the problem. Instead of offering suggestions to fix the hose, I was told to fully retract the hose and cut it off… Read more

at the letterbox opening and send a photo to receive a full replacement. I did as I was told, completely destroying our hose in the process. I was then told that 'another colleague didn't realise I was in Australia and Hozelock no longer operates in Australia'. Why do they have an Australian website and multiple Australian retailers then? I was offered a refund which I accepted as my hose was destroyed. My bank details were submitted on 1 October 2023 and I was told it would take up to 21 working days. It is now 18 December 2023 and I still have not received my refund. I have contacted Hozelock multiple times and '[Name Removed]' says it is a hold up with the Accounts department. Now no one is answering my emails at all. Funny that! I never asked for a replacement hose or refund - I was offered both and have received nothing. Avoid buying anything from Hozelock, especially if you are in Australia. Absolutely pathetic customer service.

As bad as the cheaper ones – Be warned before purchasing the Hoselock 25m auto reel that it will, like all the cheaper brand hose reels that I have bought and then sold, almost halve your water pressure and flow compared to a hose alone of the same diameter, and yes I have fully extended it and it is no better, this Hoselock 25m auto reel takes almost twice as much time to… Read more

fill a bucket than the same length hose plugged directly to the tap, additionally the hose itself is possibly the worst I have owned, constantly kinking, I’m so disappointed, I would never recommend the Hoselock 25 m auto reel, an absolute waste of money and I will be trying to sell this junk asap.

What has happened to your brand? – EDIT- hozelock replaced my entire unit without question. So I’ve changed my rating. The replacement works a treat so obviously I just had a faulty unit. I will buy hozelock again. I just used my hozelock 40 metre retractable hose for the first time and I am extremely disappointed. I have the 30 metre in hozelock and the 40 metre in hoselink and… Read more

decided to go with hozelock for my third, because I preferred it.

The problems were as follows: -it kinked constantly. Every time I moved position while hosing, it would kink again. About 8 times I had to unkink different spots. I couldn't kink the 30 metre one if I tried. -The retraction mechanism is wonky...it keeps going crooked, so I have to unreel then reel in again slowly. It is not a user problem, as explained I have the 30 metre and this never happens. -The final 2 metres won't even retract. Again, not a user problem, never happens with the 30 metre. I expect these problems from a cheap brand, not something I paid $322.92 for.

Can you please advise if you will be refunding or replacing. I can't help but wonder if you've changed where you get your products manufactured.

Good for storing hose and that's it! – This Auto Reel was $200+ CAD purchased at Lee Valley. It attached to the house very well. The retraction is smooth, however, you need to pull out how much hose you need in a straight direction and then pull the extended hose to where you need water. It does not work well for any of my usual hose-based chores, e.g. does not attach to my dog… Read more

washing wand, does not have changeable spray volume for watering delicate plants, or rinsing soap from car. The nozzle detaches easily and unexpectedly, when you are using the hose, causing me to spray both myself and the dry laundry hanging out. I'm annoyed everytime I use the hose, however, it does store the hose well. Not sure about long term durability...we've only had it a month, but the reel itself seems well made.

Compares favourably with more expensive online brand – Already had an expensive online auto reel which worked well in front garden. Bought Hozelock 25m for back garden after checking price/recommendations from local hardware store. Works well, very impressed with set up instructions etc and very competitive price. Show details

Long term durability not good – I purchased a hose for my wife's birthday direct through Hozelock Australia, as none were available through retailers. I researched all the brands knowing the springs let go in the vast majority of brands soon enough. But at the time Hozelock had good reviews on the most part and were claimed superior than other comparable (for price) brands. The… Read more

set up and operation was good; the recoil lasted about 18 months then gave up. After about 12 months there was black water dripping from the unit. The recoil still worked fine for another 6 months, and then failed to recoil. I've since removed the unit and taken it to the tip as it's not serviceable. Therefore I cannot recommend this item, but to just build your biceps and coil by hand.

Good quality hose reel – Bought this at Costco for $98 and has been serving me well. The retractable hose has a soft lock and release mechanism. The hose reel doesn’t get jammed up because the hose is pliable and yet strong. Overall the quality is simply superb for this price. Show details ·  1
