Lucky I just needed a phone for 2 months – My Samsung went for a swim so I was in need of a temporary phone until the Galaxy S8 is released. I bought the Huawei for $99 from Target. I would have probably been better off buying a second hand 4 year old Samsung... I have had the phone for 2 days and I have had warnings that the battery is too cold on a 38C day. I took 1 single photo and it… Read more
said that it can not take any more as the memory is full. The menu system is very poor (not easy to use the phone book, can not set the phone automatically to silent at night you can just auto turn the phone off). It says it is a quad core but often web sites stop working or take 20 seconds after you click the button to work on even on wifi. I am glad that I am not having to use this phone for more than 2 months.
Excellent price very well made i cant live with out it very easy to use and i absolutely love it the – Amazing phone its got everything I want on it battery life very good too great value for money under 100 quid that's amazing it is one of the best phones I've had for a long time. I've changed phone companies from vodafone to 3 excellent can not fault the phone. Show details
A really good phone – I have found this phone to be really good for social media I also love that it allows the user to talk and translate texts in google as well as other apps. I have not had any challenges. For the price this has been an excellent phone
Would not waste the $$$ – We were both desperate for new phones, my son & I, so we decided upon this one. Biggest mistake we made. It would constantly crash so bad you could not make calls, not answer calls, not type, not even shut it off without pulling the battery out. We paid $149 for each one & then the following day they went down at Telstra to $99. You would have… Read more
thought they could have told us to wait one extra day right? Got it SIM unlocked for almost nothing (not via Telstra) & that was the best part of the whole thing. Less than 2 weeks later we both had new phones cause these were so bad. Now I use it to pick up vibrations from the Dock works next door.... thats about how 'good' it is. When it turned off, it was great. Everything
Inexpensive Android Phone That Does The Job – This was a very affordable mobile phone purchased from Target. It does everything I need it to do but I am a fairly basic user. The touch screen is very responsive but not as much as an iPhone. I use it for calls, texting, Facebook and looking up stuff on the web when out and about. Can do much more than this but I don't feel the need to use… Read more
many of its features. For the small price I paid I am happy but a power user or previous iPhone user may be disappointed (?). Inexpensive (hate paying a lot for a mobile), has Android 4.1.1, battery life seems to be good. Auto correct was infuriating until I became more familiar with how it worked. There was a month long learning curve. The auto correct is still a little irritating but nothing like it was during the first fortnight.
Excellent, budget priced, dual core phone - You wont find better under $100 !!! – I have had my Huawei Y300 for 6 months now and can't say that I have experienced any problems. In fact the performance and reliability of this phone has surprised me. I upgraded from the Huawei G300 which was OK but a bit laggy due to its 1GHz single core processor. The Y300 in contrast has a 1GHz DUAL CORE processor which makes run almost as fast… Read more · 1
as the highly acclaimed Samsung Galaxy S2 however the battery life of the Y300 being much, much better! Its lovely clear 4" screen is the envoy of the similar sized iPhone 4S/5. Running facebook or Navigation apps is no problem whatsoever. The only issue with Huawei's budget priced phones in general is the limited 4GB internal memory of which more than half is used by the Android 4.1 (Jellybean) operating system. This limitation is easily resolved by installing an 8GB or larger memory card for just a few dollars. Also, like other Huawei budget price phones, the 5MP camera works exceptionally well in sunny daylight conditions however indoor shots will disappoint. SUMMARY: If you are considering a convenient sized, budget smartphone this one is sure to please and when unlocked works with all 3G carriers using the popular 2100MHz band. Budget price, convenient size, large clear 4" screen, excellent performance, does almost everything well Camera disappoints with poorly lit photos. The flash doesnt help much. Usable 2GB internal memory is limited but easily expanded with a memory card.
Makes a better frisbee than a phone – I can't begin to describe how bad this phone is. Calls consistently cut out after 20 seconds, to the point where I'd have to answer the phone immediately with a disclaimer "this phone call might cut out - if so I will call you back". Messages close for no reason, internet is extremely slow - just a terrible phone but I guess you get what you pay… Read more
for. This phone left me stranded overseas and had to buy a new phone in the end as this one was not fit for purpose. Worst still it came highly recommended by the sales person who was soon to distance himself from it when I wanted my money back... STEER CLEAR OF THIS PHONE ! It will only bring you heart ache, misery and a lot of frustration ! I have since bought a Samsung Ace 3 which is brilliant ! the sound it made as I threw it against the wall not fit for purpose !
No stars – I cannot emphasize enough how rubbish this phone is. Even this review was a nightmare to try to post. My favourite part is the way it closes messages halfway through typing - what a useful feature! I also love the way it randomly decides whether to autocorrect or not. And that the keyboard will come up or not depending on the phone's mood. It was cheap
I think you need to check your settings or maybe its faulty. I have had this phone for 6 months… Read more (+1 reply)
Smarter than me – After my 6 year old Nokia n95 died I went and bought a Huawei Y300. Being 63 and never had a "smart" phone I was a bit lost with it all. The young lady at Telstra didn't give me much of a rundown on it and the instructions were next to useless. When I got my first call I didn't know how to answer it so I went back to Telstra and was shown how to… Read more · 3
work it. When I got home I downloaded the manual and have now worked it all out. The phone is very easy to work, very user friendly. Big screen, querty keyboard is big enough for my large fingers and reasonably short charge up time. I don't think the battery will last the 320 hours on standby (26.6 days) I got 6 days with a bit of talk time
