We have installed a Hunter BBT-201 dual tap timer which ran perfectly for about 12 months. (they have a 2 year warranty which is much longer than many similar products) The timer then stopped operating. Called Hunter Australia and was put through to the technical department in the USA with no wait time and a very helpful technician who ran through some checks to determine that the unit was faulty. I then called Hunter Australia and spoke with Shane and was greatly relieved for many reasons. Firstly, I was put straight through with no wait time on the phone. Secondly, Shane talked me through the issues and concluded that the unit was faulty. Thirdly, there was no argy bargy about the next step. Shane offered a full replacement at Hunter's expense, no questions asked. And finally, I received the new unit in the mail within 24 hours! I cannot fault the response by Hunter and the approach that Shane took in addressing my issues. I just wish this was the service standard across more Australian companies.

2 final points. Point 1 is that I am an old curmudgeon quick to write a negative review when I don't get treated respectfully or don't receive value for money. My final point is a response to a couple of reviews about Hunter tap timers on Product Review. Hunter have changed the threaded tap connector which apparently was prone to cracking. In comparison the new connector looks really beefed up and easier to tighten with the larger boss.

Thanks again Shane for the outstanding service.
