Husqvarna 137e / 142e

Good – Overall a compact, high performance 2 stroke chainsaw from husky. I'd seriously consider purchasing another saw from this brand. Make sure you mix fuel with decent quality 2 stroke oil and keep that chain lube full - keeps the saw functioning smoothly. Lightweight, feels well made, excellent cutting ability for firewood and general garden clean ups Can be tricky to start (you have to know the right method). Some idling problems early on, but fixed by recent service.

Good – Minimal experience with chainsaws, only used Stihl prior but it is a great yard saw, I use it as a pruning saw and felling small trees and it performs very well. I considered the cheaper range of saws but thought I would buy a name brand and glad I did. I have felld a few large trees (14inch dia) and it performed well though I could see I was pushing it's limit. So really for a handymans allrounder it's a good saw. Easy to start, lightweight, performs exceptionally well for a yard cleanup saw. Aircleaner servicing can be fiddly to get too but it has a fancy air cleaner setup which reduces the service schedule.
