Never again !!!! – This is not cheap, I purchased for what I considered was quality but alas this unit is not a quality unit. Easy enough to start, let it warm up but pull the throttle and it constantly bogs down and dies, getting it to run is a challenge, this has been an ongoing problem since about 2 months after purchasing it. I have had it in for a service, which wasn't cheap but still the same constant issue. The time and money I have spent on this, it would have been cheaper for me to pay someone to do the job for me. Never again will I purchase a Husqvarna product, the whole exercise has been expensive and extremely disappointing. Purchased approximately 2018

Good all round trimmer – Ok so after my stilh fs38 got smashed on my driveway after 8 months of frustration i went and got the husqvarna 322L line trimmer which iv had for about 3 years now, used around once a week (less in winter) with no problems. Over all happy with the product, its easy to start cold or hot, idles forever and doesn't stall, light weight, more than enough power for my needs, quick feed head is easy to use and its fairly quiet. Basically does what a whipper snipper should. Only negative/s would be according to the manual after run in period (8 tanks of fuel) it says to get the carb retuned by a husqvarna dealer as the factory tune is a rich "safe" tune for bedding in rings etc... so i didnt want to pay for a carb retune i bought a husqvarna carb tool to retune the carb but what i didnt know is that high and low speed screws are like no other 2 strokes iv used. They require many turns for them to have any effect on the fuel mix which makes tuning very difficult (i would guess they do this to idiot proof these machines so they cant be ran too lean).

Would i buy again? Yes, but not at the price husqvarna wants to sell them for. After buying a used echo gt-22ges curved shaft (their cheapest line trimmer on the shelf) id probably go echo over husqvarna or stihl in the future. It does everything my husqy does but at half the price. Its made in japan very well built. It does allthough have slightly smaller engine which requires slightly higher revs. Claimed hp are the same for both but i feel the husky has more power. They both weight about the same but echo just feels much lighter and better balanced to me. Only thing i found with the echo is that this model dosent have a high or low speed adjustment screws for the carb which could be a problem in the future if it needs fine tuning.

Not sure why the other guy that left a reveiw had so much trouble with his 322L like the grease in the cutting head? Mines 3 years old and still has fresh looking grease that came with the trimmer?? No shoulder strap??... the 322L is the lightest in the husqvarna range why would you need a shoulder strap?

Husqvarna 322L

Pros

-Very easy to start

-Fairly light

-Lots of power

-Low maintenance

-Quiet

-Quick feed head is easy to use and easy to add new line.

Cons

-Carb adjustments on these are difficult and id recommend getting a dealer to do a retune after run in period.

-Needs a special carb tool (cant use a normal screwdriver)

-Big price tag... better value for money with echo in my opinion.

Average trimmer with an warranted premium price – I got the 322L as a replacement from Husqvarna when my other Husqvarna trimmer died. After owning it for 12 months or so the 322L is only useful for light grass. Anything over 5cm and the lack of power really shows and it will not cut cleanly. I ran it head to head with a $99 "big box store" trimmer to check the results and the cheapie won hands down. Same line; same petrol. Just $375 cheaper!!

The quality is an issue with the 322L coming with NO grease in the cutting head and no shoulder strap.

I am very sad to say after owning many Huskys for years this is my last one until they rediscover their quality, stop supplying substandard product, and stop trading on their past good name.

Update. Since writing the review the 322l has destroyed the cutter head. Husqvarna refused to cover it under warranty claiming general wear. Stooped at the weekend with a burnt out ignition module. Again not covered by husqvarna. So less than 2 years old less than 30 hours work 1 rubbish warranty and it is time for a new brush cutter. Top quality husqvarna. Way to go.
