Great saw – Powerful and reliable chainsaw and good power to weight ratio. Good spare parts availability and highly sought after within the woodcutting business and often regarded as one of the best ever Husqvarna chainsaws.
5 star – HQV 372XP review 5 star. Dear All The thing was me owned few Husqvarna chainsaws the most powerful made ever and few Sthil too. All of them were original brand new and made in Sweden but Germany. The best worked with was just HQV 372 XP what was strong enough to log down any tree. The largest tree logged by me in one /just me only myself/ within… Read more
6 hours was about 780 years oak with plaque nailed then removed by proper authorities. It was just Heritage of Nature spacemen. Diameter of that oak was about 6 yards among buildings with residents in them and low voltage transmission lines next to with voltage/power/ on them. Me needed to climb that oak and log it down piece by piece. Those authorities paid to me £4.700. The fastest job me did within 8 hour shift with HQV 372XP was as follows: logging down 276 alders about 1 yard of diameter each in mountains in winter time with half an hour of break in blizzard just with HQV 372 XP. Throughput was very all right as in case of such hard work place, next to brook and lake on a pistle. Some disaster/tornado/ happened to high voltage transmission lines. Very efficient and comfortable chainsaw, reliable, safe and fast. Sthil was to noisy. Me used to work with my chainsaws mostly in winter time irrespectively on weather conditions next to the highest voltage electric transmission lines, mostly in mountains with voltage/power/ on those transmission lines. My job was just trees and shrubs trimming but logging below of them but next to. That job was very hard and seriously unsafe. Mostly me needed to climb those trees next to 15kV transmission lines and up. I can strongly recommend HQV 372XP for the professionals.
Review 5.0. for HQV 372XP. Kind regards R
Best commercial saw Husky ever made – Having owned and still do, both a 395XP and 372XP, I prefer the 372XP for most felling and blocking work. Both running 24" bars 3/8 .058 chain. The 372 is lighter obviously, can handle anything the 395 can, slightly slower felling green red gum, but not by much. The 395 doesn't bog as much in the wet centre of the trunk, but once felled, blocking… Read more
is only differed by a few seconds. Shoulders don't hurt as much after 4 hours working. Plunge cuts are more controlled with the 372XP
Best saw I have ever used – This saw is worth every penny. I have ran many different types and size saws there is no comparison. This saw will go through 75’ pine, oaks, ash, hard maple. This can not get enough wood to cut. The saw is heavy but the hp and cc are worth every pound. I have cut over 500 trees with this saw and have never had an issue. The saw runs great, starts… Read more
every time and does it’s job. Would highly recommended this for everyday use. This saw is NOT for beginners
Perfect for hard work – Had this one for a few years, it replaced my 272XP which I had since the early eighties. This one looks like it will last as long also, considering I burn at least 20 tonne a year as well as falling and clearing on my farm property in the highlands. The balance is good and you need to use quality chain as the only cheap one I have ever used is… Read more
sitting on a tree branch somewhere up the bush. I have never used commercial bar oil but filtered used oil in all my saws since the sixties and have never had any problems, contrary to what some may say. My saw is great and doesn't vibrate like my brother's Stihl which actually had the handle fall off once. I use a rich mixture, it may reduce the horsepower a little but I think it has advantages in the long term. You can't go wrong with this saw or any of the other Husqvarna saws.
Excellent – Excellent saw.I really wish I didnt sell my old saw.I only sold it because I wanted the money. The 372xp cutts quick and effortlesly.Whish I still had it.I tryed 3 other sthils around the same size and they just couldnt cut as quick.Im only a little guy 63kgs.The weight of the saw was not a proberlem for me and i used it regulary on weekends… Read more · 1
sometimes for 6-10hrs.To cut 1000kg of timber it would take about an hour and a half.Thats split and loaded. So this saw cuts quick I highly recomend it.I used it sometimes to rip posts. With a 16inch bar and ripping chain. It would keep up with a stihl 066 with a twenty inch bar.Not bad considering its about 22cc smaller. Light weight to power ratio, anti vibration ease of use.Excellent filter setup.Quick and easy. Also quick and easy chain tensioning. There was nothing that I disliked about it.
Great home saw for those on acreage – We're on a three and a half acre property with one acre of it dedicated to wildlife so we regularly have branches and trees that need cleaning up. We also cut fallen timber into lengths to split for firewood. This chainsaw has given us trouble free operation for four years. It's sturdy, easy to start and has no difficulty with hardwood. all chainsaws it works best if you keep it well maintained and the chain sharpened. We bought extra chains so we can switch them if we're doing a lot of work and the one on the saw gets dull.
The chains are easy to sharpen but we prefer to drop them off at the local shop for sharpening. It's cheap and doing it yourself is time consuming.
We also purchased protective headgear and chaps when we bought this saw and highly recommend them. While we're extremely careful with our chainsaw we've heard of some horrible accidents when people haven't bothered to read or follow the instructions. Please remember these things can be lethal if you don't use them properly. Powerful for its size. Easy start. Cuts well.
Excellent – This saw would is a great saw. After all it is sold as a professional use saw. Like everyone says, keep your chain sharp, bar dressed, filter clean, pluge replacement up and you will not have a problem with this saw. I hear people say their saw is no good and does not cut straight etc. Most of the time it is because a lack of maintenance or lack… Read more
