After Sales Support from Husqvarna is Zero – It is unfortunate that Husqvarna has decided to discontinue support for my 2G/3G autoconnect device following Australia's 3G shutdown. This decision is disappointing, especially since it undermines their commitment to customer service. Why is there no assistance for existing customers as we transition to a 4G card? As an owner of the 430X Automower, which depends on a 2G/3G Automower Connect card, I find it concerning that customers are expected to pay the full price of $450 for a replacement. This approach suggests a focus on profits rather than genuine support for loyal customers, raising serious doubts about your dedication to customer care.
Purchased in for $4,600.

Husqvarna could have come to some arrangement for previous customers - like purchase at cost, ½ price or something... I understand that this situation isn't your fault, just as it isn't mine! At the time of purchase, had it professionally installed. I received the low-quality green wire (the one provided in the kit). I had a poor installation from a local dealer, which led to wire breakages within the first week and continued issues for years. The head office team decided to send someone to see the poor base setup firsthand and try to fix it. To date, I have had over 50 breakages in the green wire, and each breakage means you need to dig up the turf looking for a break. After years of frustration, I ended up purchasing 14-gauge wire to relay the wire myself. And in the middle of all that, I had one wheel falling off-just one side (the nut kept coming loose). It’s a journey being the owner of a Husqvarna automower…
The elevation in your lawn game is in blood pressure trying to find a break in the wire. When it comes to effortless perfection, they do mow well when working. People with busy lifestyles will love it - until it stops, and you are left to find the solution yourself. Owners will continually search blogs for assistance, just as I have, and that's the kind of support Husqvarna offers future customers.
I have a love hate relationship with my #Husqvarnaautomower. When it works without issue I love it, when it breaks for whatever reason I hate it. Seize this opportunity to automate your garden care if you have plenty of time to troubleshoot yourself when things go south.
I am incredibly dissatisfied with the customer service provided at the dealership; their knowledge is severely lacking. Additionally, I find the overall support from the Husqvarna to be quite troubling.
It seems good enough for you to update for free in USA but not in Australia. Source:: external link "In order to maintain the full connectivity of your Automower®, Husqvarna will upgrade your 3G Automower® unit at no charge to you. Husqvarna will install a 4G connect card, upgrade your software and even replace your mower blades for free! This applies to all cellularly connected mowers registered on Husqvarna website prior to February, 2022. If you don’t upgrade from 3G to 4G, you may soon lose ability to track your Automower® if stolen, and ability to control your Automower® away from your home.
Starts off great, but terrible quality = poor value for money – The default install method is boundary wire pegged to the ground. Grass will grow over it when pegged onto the grass. Unfortunately the (expensive) Green boundary wire provided is not UV rated, and deteriorates in the harsh New Zealand sun. After 3 years I started experiencing brittle and broken wires - the wire inside the sheath completely blows apart.
When operating the lawn mower is great. It mulches away, just have to replace the blades every 1 to 2 months. There's lots of opportunity to improve on it's operation, such as being able to adjust it's mowing pattern to do stripes on large open areas, or slow down when approaching boundary wire where collision is likely to occur.
Purchased in February 2018 for $4,834 NZD with the automower connect option and large install kit. Came with enough wire to do the job, but the wire is inadequate - it's thick enough at 2.7mm, but not durable enough. After 3 years the wire started to deteriorate - around the charging station - where the wire is exposed constantly before reaching the grass, and we have an area around some shrubs where the wire is above ground for 10 metres. All destroyed within 3 years from the sun exposure - the insulation breaks and the wire blows out - over time the moisture penetrates the wire under the grass and in the ground also.
Areas where it was buried slightly below the surface of the grass, the plastic pegs have severed the wire over time - high foot traffic areas pushing down on the peg cause it to cut the wire. This has occurred in 8 locations - which made fault finding a nightmare.
The unit has done 6978 hours of total runtime in 4 years, and since the beginning of 2021 has been making grinding gear sounds. Today in May 2022 the right drive wheel barely functions, causing the unit to go in clockwise circles. It can no longer cut, and if it does make it out, it can't make it back.
Both wheels are grinding, it's clearly the cogs, as the motors make the correct sounds.
The installation area is perfectly flat lawn - no slopes. There are two locations where the guide wire runs against a patio, and where it runs behind a raised planter box, where the mower must use collision sensor to nagivate, otherwise it uses drive by boundary wire.
The fact that the unit started dying after 3 years in an ideal installation environment is appauling. I'm waiting on a price for a pair of new drive wheel assemblies, but I have read they are USD $299 each (AUD$420 NZD$465).
On top of the hours required to repair the boundary wires it's just not worth it. Also replacement boundary wire is daylight robbery and is still not UV protected.
Purchased in at Shands for $4,834.

Worst Customer Service Ever – The website does not state they are out of stock. They will still charge your card for $2500. They will send you multiple packages IE the install kit and the trimmer with zero notification regarding your mower. When you reach out, they still don't mention it's out of stock unless you specifically ask. Then they make you pay to ship the install kit back even without any idea when the mower will be in stock.

Hi,
Not sure what's going on here? Our system says we have 178 in stock?
Happy to share the case number from my web chat and phone call or my RA number to send the useless install kit back at my expense. No response from Husqvarna on my Facebook message or Instagram message so I’m just spreading the word via any review website I possibly can. Thanks
Hi,
It's not clear why you think the install kit is useless?
The install kit is completely useless without the MOWER, the MOWER that was out of stock until who knows when. Makes a great paper weight maybe.

Dear Suz, Firstly, thank you for posting and for purchasing one of our Automowers. I'm sorry to hear that your mower is being affected by the Australian Telcoms decision to discontinue 2G/3G coverage in Australia (as im sure many different products have been). As we have already established, your mower is no longer within its warranty period so should you wish to continue to utilize the Husqvarna Connect Ap remotely (ie not within Bluetooth range) you would need to purchase a 4G Card for your mower from your local Dealer as you have mentioned in your post.
