Absolutely hopeless – I purchased a 3052 Husky a few years back, it is without doubt a engineering masterclass on how not to build a mower. The front idler pulley on the cutting deck continually collapses, I have had no end of issues with the thermal shut down once hot. It breaks belts constantly. Cut is okay but cannot handle anything damp (clogs easily), cannot… Read more

handle grass even 1/3 foot high. I have a mulch kit and it struggles to run as it really is under p[owered to do anything than short grass. I paid nearly AUD$7K for machine

Advise if you want an over priced, under powered, unreliable mower that requires expensive parts and regular repair, and can only cut short dry grass...then Husqvarna is the brand to go for...you will receive all of this is spades

Utterly hopeless

Horrible lawnmower. Never again anything from Husqwarna !!! – Fuel line CUT with belt when delivered (wrong assembly-got foto) !!! Front wheel hub broken. Other front wheel felt off-C clip broken.Engine valves had to be reseted.Battery dead after 180 hrs.Break pedal stucked. Roller on cutting deck was stuck under deck-missing pin.Broken belt after 220hrs.Drive pedal disengaged-missing pin.Very expensive… Read more

services-dearer than car service. When contacted Husqwarna they told- you had warranty fix those problems. Yes we had-but last 2.5 years we had to pay.Scared to cut grass -what will happen next.

So over replacing belts !!! – This month alone I've replaced 3 belts. I have about 2 acres to mow.. I keep it fairly short and pick up stucks. One belt flip over completely.. I'm getting told. Stick the size of a cigarette butt can do this !! So over it.. Cody me over 150.00 each time.. Be cheaper to throw mower out and pay someone !!!

Terrible design, very unreliable and very expensive to maintain. Do NOT buy Husqvarna!! – Bought new 4 yrs ago for $6,400 thinking it would last a lifetime. Does a good cut BUT it is a very bad design and breaks down all the time. Have spent heaps on repairs and spare parts. Front wheel flat from loose wire INSIDE the wheel in first few hours. Muffler replaced 3 times, poor fastening design and it just shakes to pieces; front wheel… Read more

bearings replaced twice; headlights blew early on, causing fire in the loom which I rewired myself (new loom $120), cutting deck clogs with grass way too often; grease points awkward to access; pulleys wore out early on and had to be replaced; front wheel fell to pieces while riding; cover brittle plastic and bits broke off; mechanical links are very loose and awkward to operate; spare parts incredibly expensive in Australia, for example, 3 blades = $75 a set - in USA one TENTH the price but they won't export; hood cracked; various bits fell off; throttle cable constantly stuck and in 'reverse'; clutch gave out at 740 hours and new clutch is $900!! The best thing is the engine - Briggs and Stratton, NOT Husqvarna.

I chose Husqvarna because I thought it was a quality brand I could rely on BUT it has been SO unreliable needing so many repairs and very expensive replacement parts I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER buy Husqvarna EVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!

Great Mower with few Vices – I have a 30 52 Husqvarna, now 36 months old and done 400 hours (12 months old and 75 hours when purchased). I mow up to 3.7 acres with it and nothing out of the ordinary has gone wrong, touch wood. Our property is flat to gentle slope at times a little wet in the lower parts, the mower copes with all I throw at it - long grass, loaded trailer,… Read more

rough terrain etc. I grease the spindles every 10 hours and change oil and filter bang on 50 hours. Uses approx 7-8 litres of fuel per hour when mowing. Very happy to date.

Steering has developed a lot of play but my belief is that this was most likely caused by the ruts in our land when I first started mowing the block, these have now been smoothed. We have worked this machine hard and it takes everything we throw at it. Also find sharpening the blades every 50 hours makes a big difference to performance.

I see another review which mentions a headlamp wiring loom fire - I had this, easy repair at home. Also lots of people mention these mowers throwing belts - touch wood this never happens to me, my service person says its caused by the deck being poorly aligned by the selling dealer. At 400 hours I am yet to have a problem - touch wood.

The servicing is a little pricey but its a machine that works hard for me so I keep it well maintained.

July 2017, I keep clocking up more hours without a problem. I have made a big improvement to the cutting deck. I lowered the two front wheels on the cutting deck to their lowest position, this helps the deck ride out the humps and hollows. Huge improvement to cut quality and wet grass mowing is easier, plus the lawn looks much better.

Great mower – I have now had my husky now for two years. I mow very thick grass in my 10 acre block, it has done 189 hours. I have looked after it doing regular services, it cuts wonderfully no long bits i have since put some gator blades and it has made a huge effort. I love my mower, it has never let me down. I don't know what everyone is on about, thumbs up.

Husqvarna the worst Ride on Mower in Ireland – Bought a NEW Husqvarna Ride on Lawn mower 4 years ago and was fine for the first year...Since then it's constant problems the belt breaks at least 3-4 times per season and also the engine backfires from time to time. I have serviced and cared this machine it has cost me a fortune in belts etc. The biggest mistake i made was buying Husqvarna in… Read more

Unreliable – Purchased brand new 12 months ago. Broke down in the first month, starter motor stuck on, and almost started a grass fire. Has broken down every 8 weeks since; It is always a starter or regulator issue, and we have the threat of having to pay for the pickup truck. The mower has been back to the Dealer 5 times in 50 weeks. Not good enough, Do yourself a favour, buy a Toro.

If I could give the company zero stars I would – I am reading the reviews because my husband is at his wits end with this machine! It has been back at the shop 3 times in the last month with different problems each time. this weekend after the new battery went flat we trailered it to the shop, got a new batt, came home, started mower and smoke started pouring out of some other part...seriously?… Read more

my hubby whipper skippered 3 acres instead. The poor repair shop blokes have no idea how to deal with irate land owners and a certain melbourne chain that sells these rust buckets take 1 week to even return a call! let alone fix the machine. We are about to hit out at Husqvarna to get this sorted out. I would never pay money for a husqvarna again....on the other hand they make good motorbikes.

Buyers Beware, not fit for purpose YTH2648TDF – Poorest machine ever, recalled due to Diff issue 2 weeks after purchase, diff lock not operative and defective brakes, broken diff mounts, multiple broken belts, doesnt cut grass well, no power, blows smoke. Customer service = poor. Not fit for purpose at all.

Hate it – I have had my mower for three years and it has never done an even cut. I have returned it 3 times to try and balance the cutters with no success. I always have to mow the lawn twice to get the uneven cut. Don't waste your money on this mower.

Good mower for it's class – I have just purchased the 2011 27hp 52inch husky second hand with 100hrs on the clock. I have a 2.5 acre block which has a moderate slope and is reasonably smooth with not too many rough spots or rocks. I do often have lots of sticks fallen from the trees but the strong fabricated deck seems to stand up to them quite well. I like that the… Read more

pulleys and belts on the deck have plenty of space around them to allow sticks, grass and debris to fall away from the moving belts unlike other mowers I have had. I have only done 2 hours on the tractor so far. It handles my blocks long (30cm) grass well but bogs down occasionally if I try to mow full speed through patches of lush thick grass.

The travel speed is quite quick although I find I have to back off in some of the bumpier spots otherwise I get bounced around too much. I would like the deck to have some higher settings as I cut on the highest setting (about 50mm) which is ok but there is no option to go higher.

Other mowers I have used allow you to push a pedal to lift the deck clear of rough spots or gravel for example - can't do that with the husky. I would like it to go a bit faster in reverse but on the plus side it doesn't require a button to be pushed every time you want to go in reverse thanks to the Husky ROS system.

Like most mowers in this range the wheels do not have bearings (only bushes) which seems a bit cheap n nasty too me but that's what we get! A bit disappointed in the cut quality as dandelion stalks seemed to escape the blades and I had to go over some spots twice, where it was pure grass the cut was perfect first time.

Traction was good but doesn't have much clearance and I bottomed out trying to cross through a drain that my last mower could handle just by pushing the pedal to lift the deck high up - will just have to change the way I mow. The mowers durability remains to be seen but for what it is I'm quite happy with the husky. Fast travel speed, good turning circle, good amount of power The deck height settings are too low and no ability to lift the cutters higher than about 75mm

Unreliable – I have had a lot of problems with the mower starting with worn mandrils ( two occassions )requiring all three to be replaced. Main fuse blowing requiring engine management unit to be replaced ( Two occassions ) finally being told by dealer an in line diode was required from the clutch to rectify problem. Would i buy anothe one? Definately NOT! I thought Husqvana was a good brand Not upto the job

Great Mower – Great Mower does my 5 hilly acres with ease, need to let down tyre pressure`s and adjust (Mower deck heights to suit your block) / tighten all fixings before and after 1st mow. Otherwise for half the price of a john deere with same specs great buy. Inexpensive.good power. Havn`t got my trailer yet......Been 8 weeks!

I thought I was buying the best – When I purchased my property and needed a ride on, I knew Husqvarna was a great name in mowers - turns out I was horribly wrong! I have had nothing but dramas with this mower and just when I think nothing else can go wrong with it, up comes another problem! The worst part is that head office only pulled their finger out and took control of the… Read more

problems after the Department Of Fair Trading was called. Now we are having additional problems and head office is reluctant to help out again! This mower is well and truly a lemon and I wish I had never purchased it! I love that it has a 52" cutting deck and its comfortable to ride for long periods. Cutting wheel bolt has sheered off, it cuts out, extremely noisy blade operation (not normal), steering shaft fell out whilst mowing, drive pulley system belt has flown off twice, poor repair times (takes a month + to get your mower back from being repaired), service ppl broke seat (up to the third seat!), service ppl damaged ignition barrel so our key wouldnt fit in barrel properly. Most of these concerns have been looked at several times and not fixed. In 12 months the mower was in for service 6 timed at over a month each time! It has spent more time in the mower shop than at our home!

This rideon has some grunt – Purchased this mower for our 3 acre block around 18 months ago. Apart from objecting to running head on into a tree stump, it's operated flawlessly on the 30 hours I've spent on her. The fabricated deck is a must for our block as there are many "obstacles" that would most likely damage a pressed deck. Good turning circle around trees. Blades can… Read more

be set to operate when mower is in reverse as well.

On my way to buy a dozer blade attachment to spread out 14 tonnes of crushed rock :). Highly recommended this rideon. Price OK, *very* hilly 3 acres (some would say ... steep) with ease. Would be great with a LSD ..... but you can't have everything
