Don’t waste your money – You pay for what you get this is a cheap robot and that is exactly what you get if I could go back I would’ve just spent the extra money and got a better quality one Show details
Much better than I expected – I've owned 4 pool cleaners before (arneson, polaris, letro, and kreepy krauly), and this is the most effective. No more unblocking suction diaphragms. No more pressure side plumbing to worry about. This cleaner handles gum leaves and twigs with ease. It's great. It even gobbles up giant dracaena leaves! No idea how it manages that! It has… Read more
very few moving parts too. Just a motor with propellers, and a free spinning wheels.
Like all automatic cleaners it's a bit stupid, and occasionally gets stuck, however it's pretty good all things considered. For $499, it's a bargain.
disclaimer - this is my only experience with robotic cleaners. I don't know how it compares to more expensive models.
high quality high performance – I have the 4WD model and it cleans very well and meets all my expectations. It is very easy to use and picks up all manner of leaves and twigs in the pool. Highly reccommended
Can't make up my mind! – It picks up leaves & twigs OK, and fills the bag. However the dust particles on the bottom just get blown back out the outlet & makes the pool cloudy. Needs better filtration of finer particles. Also mine started running for 10-15 seconds then stopping. Reset power, same thing. Eventually found the motor mounting screws loose, causing motor to slide sideways and jam. Tighten Up & seems OK. Expect better for the price.
gets stuck – Seemd to clean OK were it goes, but in my rectangular pool it gets stuck in the corners as well as in the one or other end of the pool. The strategy used by the cleaner to change direction always gets it into a repeating pattern. I have spent a lot of time trying to make it work, tried all adjustments, evan added weights in various places, but to… Read more
no avail. Returned it to the shop. Bunnings is good in this respect, returned the money no questions asked.
Runs too fast – We find it runs so quickly it doesn't pick up all the leaves , nor does it pick up much of the fine dust on the pool bottom. It needs some sort of brush system to collect the leaves and dust.
Do not buy one of these cleaners! – My Robo Works lasted one season and stopped working when it was out of warranty. The service agent wanted $600+ for a new motor.
An easy way to keep your pool clean – I was struggling to find the time to vacuum our 10 x 5 m pool. Our Kreepy crawly had died so I using the pool hose and vacuum, which worked well but took me almost an hour each Saturday as we live in a leafy area. I bought this robotic cleaner from Bunnings for $699 and it was several hundred dollars cheaper than competing products which didn't… Read more · 1
seem as good from their descriptions. I like that it has 4 wheels so it is more likely not to flip over. The filter bags catch fine particles and they are relatively easy to clean. Generally it works well but does miss patches at times and can get stuck in one spot. I was surprised it only has two small round intake valves on diagonal ends of the machine. Being electric I was expecting rotating brushes and the like. Perhaps as always, you get what you pay for. Overall though, it has reclaimed my Saturday mornings and does a reasonable job for the price. Quieter than a Kreepy crawly, saves me time, does a reasonable job. Sometimes it misses patches and can get stuck in the one place.
