Hydro Floss Oral Irrigator

Piece of crap – I purchased 4 and all same problem hose in handle gets loose and water comes out poorly. Called toothy grin back and fourth no one wanted to send a new hose. PLEASE DONT BUY
Oxy jet Dr. Batt – Read your review on Hydro Floss & pleased you are finding it to be a good product. I think that you are a bit unlucky with Oral B's product. I own 3 of them, the oldest being 10 years and all still working great. However, typical of Oral B they get up one morning and decide to cease production. I think they ceased producing Oxy Jets about 18 months ago - a great product which mounts on the wall. Oh well, guess I will just have to try Hydro Floss
Hydrofloss vs Oxyjet Oral irrigator – Years ago I purchased an Oxyjet electric toothbrush and pressure washer in one...I think it was about $230 (ebay)... and it worked great, especially the pressure washer as it was the first one I'd ever used and I was amazed just how much food it washed out even after flossing. It lasted about 3 years then the pressure washer died... I fixed it but died soon after.
I loved it so I purchased another one for about $240 (ebay)... It worked great but then died after about 3 years, so ive spent $500 and got nothing, I mean I would expect 10 years min for something of that calibre... Ive got an electric shaver thats 20 years old and still works perfect. I decided I'm not gunna spend another $220 and have it die in 3 years. So I looked around the net and found the HydroFloss
at vitality4life.com.au then go to the health menu, then personal hygiene, oral care.
At $229, jeeez... i'll give it a go as i'm 53 and my teeth are falling apart so its money well spent, I mean its only gotta save you from one filling,,, and with me there's less and less teeth material left.
As for the HydroFloss, its noisier and sounds more agricultural than the Oxyjet but its got plenty of grunt, enough to 'hurt' your gums if their not used to being hit with a pressure washer... the pulsing jet works good and you can adjust pressure and flow until your used to it. Mine's wound up to full bore...
I would actually like to be able to turn it up just a tad more, you know, so I can make your gums bleed !!!
All in all I'm very happy with it.. Ive gotten used to it being a bit noisy, but it does a very good job for what it's made for, pressure washing your teeth, in between in particular. I use a full tank of warm water every time, I try to do them twice a day. The thing I really like about the HydroFloss is my mouth and teeth feel so 'sparkling clean'.... then a rinse with NeutraFlour 900.
And finally, time will tell if it lasts longer than the Oxyjet, Ive had it for about one year and it sounds and works like the day I bought it.
I would strongly recommend it to anyone... :) Does a good job... Looks and feels well built. Blasts all the stuff out of your mouth.... Seeing all the stuff getting washed out makes you feel good. A bit noisy but I'm used to it now and I wouldn't use that as a reason not to get one.
