Ian Dinnerville Real Estate

***Do not deal with this agency*** – Helen Walker maybe the worst real estate agent known and that is saying something, lazy, incompetent and completely rude. I am still owed over $2000 for a fencing dispute that has dragged on for almost a year and have had to begin action in small claims. I encourage those that have had similar experiences to lodge a claim with NSW fair trading as this agency has broken the code of cunduct on multiple occasions, you have been warned.
Highly recommended – Always make everything easy - took over from a rubbish agent, then worked closely with me during transitioning tenants, including organising updates and maintenance very promptly and securing me a new tenant. Would highly recommend
Poor property management – As a landlord, make sure you take your own photos and copies of ingoing reports and keys given as you never get them from the property manager. Ask for regular inspections as they won't do them otherwise. Better yet, just don't use them as your PM and you'll be better off.
Ugh – Make sure the condition report is filled out accurately and completely before you move in. Make sure every single little flaw with the property is recorded and take photos of EVERYTHING. Because they will try to charge you for every little thing wrong even if it was already there when you moved in.
Unsatisfactory - would not recommend tenancy through this agency – Was a tenant for two and a half years and was particularly distressing at times. Property manager rude and always made it seem as if it was too much to ask for maintenance or obviously your fault. I found there was a disrespect for tenants. There are no inspections which as an owner would be concerning, although an inspection is done if you are… Read more
claiming maintenance. Had issues with an appliance not working properly but there was always an excuse (or 'there was nothing wrong with it before' response which is irrelevant if it isn't working properly now) for not replacing. When I offered to buy my own and place the existing in the garage, I was told it would still be my expense to have it re-installed.
Lovers of money – Customer service is so poor. I was asked to pay application processing fee $110 before my flatmate moved in. I later realised that the rental agreement had indicated that the Landlord should not unfairly refuse the tenant to share if the property isn't crowded.
No trouble at all with my tenancy – Found Mr Dinnerville and his property Manager easy to deal with, informal yet efficient. Nothing was a problem and would rent from them anytime in the future. August 8th 2018 Update: Further comments on Ian Dinnerville and his Staff Thankfully back renting again from Mr.Dinnerville. Again prompt solution of a maintenance problem, no fuss and always pleasant to deal with. Lyn
Absolutely Dreadful – We were tenants with this agency for more than 6 years in the same property. It was fine initially but with the change in property manager service went through the floor. We were accused of treating the property poorly, and any time we placed a maintenance request it was a battle, once we were even told "no that is too much work, I won't tell… Read more
the owners about that". Once we left they finally fixed 2 of the biggest issues that we had raised regarding the property, the unsafe balcony and the rotting carpet.
There was no respect or duty of care by this agency for either the property and it's owners or for us as tenants.
Service, safety, arrogant, lack of communication
