The foundation starts off really well but then gets a little faint for the coverage I would like. I cancelled my subscription. I was waiting for it to be a nightmare. Great full coverage must-have foundation! – I am in love with my new “woke up like this” foundation from Il MAKIAGE! Upon going through their colour choice survey, I was delivered a shade that was not a match for my face. No problem! I had a replacement shade within 2 weeks and it was perfect! The foundation blends perfectly into my skin tones and covers any imperfections. Even my 40+ skin loves it! trial purposes. Instead, a full-size makeup product is being sent, which appears to be a tactic to justify retaining customers’ credit card details and enforcing future charges.

This raises serious concerns regarding both transparency and product handling practices. Sending full-size products under the guise of a “trial” suggests extremely low production costs and raises legitimate questions about how returned or used makeup products are managed thereafter.

I do not consent to any future charges, nor do I authorise the retention of my card details.

Please confirm immediate cancellation of this order, removal of my payment details from your system, and written confirmation that no further charges will be processed.

If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it through my bank and the relevant consumer protection authorities.

This is by far the worst makeup I have ever tried. It is absolutely horrendous and does not deliver what is promised. It is cakey, leaves skin uneven, highlights texture and is generally inferior. I screenshotted it and am going to dispute this with my bank ! I have emailed them but no reply. I have very clearly stated on 3 emails I do not want this product shipped out to me. I want my money back.

They tricked me I knew I shouldn’t have given out my information to stupid Facebook ads like this !

Be cautious about getting lured in by their promotional offers. They're quick to take your money, but when it comes to canceling auto-replenishment or returning products, it’s an extremely frustrating and complicated process.

product got the returns label and sent it back with my written instructions to them that they do not have my authority to send auto orders. Quite misleading. Not a good experience.

 Follow-up  · I was so angry that a charge was made against my account and an automatic charge I did not try the product. I sent several emails requesting a returns label which did come through quickly and I also had to put a block on my account so they could not take anymore money. very least. Use a brush to apply evenly. Stays on all day and easy to gently wash off before bed. My only suggestion for improvement is that it can cause light stinging of the eyes. Otherwise just perfect as other sites will prove testament of thousands of happy customers.

think of American seasons so I clicked lighter (even though it’s summer in Perth) and I was still anxious but the team was super helpful and explained how the trial period works, also offering exchanges if the colour didn’t match to sort a refund within the 14 days. The shipping was fast, I got it all in about 5 days and no word of a lie the colour match was PERFECT. The foundation is so light and breathable it’s amazing I love it and I’m so glad I purchased this!! You can’t even tell you have makeup on, and it blends so well, while lasting all day in 35 degree heat! It also does ask a lot throughout the order process to auto replenish but I only wear makeup 6 - 10 times a year so I clicked no and made sure it wasn’t there even emailing customer service my order to make sure I wasn’t on any subscription after seeing previous reviews and they confirmed it was the once off purchase. I will definitely re order once this runs out :)

chose to have the order resent and was issued a $25 goodwill credit.

However, the reshipment was never actioned. When I followed up to find out when they were shipping my item, another representative advised that only the missing item would be sent instead of the full order that had originally been offered. The situation was then handed to another representative who issued a further $50 credit, and only after a few days was a replacement order finally created on their end. In the end, only the single missing item was shipped rather than the full order that had originally been offered as the resolution.

The $50 gift code that was initially provided did not work, which required further follow-up emails before it was eventually reissued. This meant the total goodwill offered was $75, but it was issued as two separate codes that cannot be used together, as their system only allows one code per order. This effectively requires customers to place multiple orders to use the full goodwill amount.

I requested that the credits be consolidated into a single usable credit so the full goodwill amount could be used on one purchase, as they were offered from the same order issue with multiple errors made on their end. However, the combination of the total $75 goodwill credit that was offered for their error was never resolved, despite multiple emails and a request to escalate the matter to a supervisor.

I then attempted to use the $50 credit to place another order. After submitting negative feedback through their “How did we do?” email, that new order was later cancelled by the company without contacting me to ask whether I wanted it cancelled.

The refund that followed was also incorrect, they refunded only part of the additional amount I paid and kept the postage cost, despite the fact that the order was cancelled by them and never shipped. When I contacted them explaining the confusion and that my feedback related to the previous order, the code has since been reissued again so that I can reorder the cancelled purchase, which I honestly have no intention of using now.

Overall, this situation has now involved two separate orders being mishandled, multiple customer support representatives, repeated miscommunication, ignored escalation requests, and incorrect refund handling. Another major frustration was the lack of any way to speak to a person directly. Customer support is only available through email, and many responses appeared to repeat policy statements without properly addressing the actual questions being asked. A responsible company should allow customers to make direct contact to speak with someone when issues arise so problems can be resolved efficiently rather than through long and stressful email exchanges.

What should have been a simple resolution to a missing item instead escalated into further stress through a cancelled order, additional order errors, and a refund that did not return the full amount I paid. Instead of feeling like a genuine goodwill gesture for their mistake, the situation ultimately left me feeling taken advantage of, as the process resulted in them keeping part of my money while the issue continued to escalate.

I have retained the complete email correspondence and order documentation that clearly shows the timeline of these events.

What is the real SCAM is that I discovered that in addition to the $9.05 for the postage of my "free trial", they immediately took a further $209 for the 3 products I ticked to trial. I immediately emailed them to complain but instead of reimbursing me as requested, they offered me a gift card to purchase more products from them. Really? Why would I want any more from company who has just scammed me?

After attempting to resolve this through customer service and getting nowhere, I’ve lodged a formal complaint with the ACCC because I believe the practices I encountered were unfair and not properly disclosed. I strongly urge others to be cautious and read every part of the fine print before giving this company your payment information.

don’t return the product within 14 days, you’re automatically charged the full amount. I only found out when the money came out of my account unexpectedly.

This feels misleading and unfair. Buyers should be fully informed and not caught out by hidden terms. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

my subscription and sent three emails requesting a refund. No reply. Total silence.

And to top it all off, I’ve just received a tracking number — meaning the order was shipped even after I canceled everything.

It’s a real shame, because I actually liked the product. But this kind of practice feels dishonest and makes me unable to recommend the brand.
