Ilve Range Review, Buyer Beware: This Could Be You – I warn you to seriously consider my account before purchasing any Ilve product. It took 9 months to reach a resolution with Ilve. Terrible customer support for a brand new range, and trust me it’s not just one customer service rep that caused this, it was everyone I worked with. sub-optimal condition. Gas burners would rarely ignite or hold flame, only 1-2 burners would work at the same time with low BTU. – Began troubleshooting by calling Ilve Customer Support number, the Customer Support is contracted out to Superior Marketing who is their distributor in the US. – Customer Support began trying to locate a service technician in my area (top 10 metro in USA). For weeks, I would call in once per week to check the status of my case, Ilve rarely reached out to me with updates. – Customer Support could not locate a service provider in my area and asked me to find one myself. When reached, many service providers in my area said they would not service Ilve. – At this point, the customer care team began to hang up on me when I would call in to ask for help with locating a service technician. – I now had to call into the Sales team and begin working with them for support. – A service technician was finally scheduled and assessed my issue 3 ½ months after contacting Customer Support. – It took 8 weeks to deliver the parts the technician needed. – Technician re-assessed the range with new parts and concluded the range was not manufactured correctly and should be returned as it was irreparable. – From this point, it took 5 weeks of constant requests to begin the refund process. – After this, it took an additional 9 weeks for the refund to be processed and to get my money back.

A product issue was seriously compounded by a failing customer care team. This market segment of home appliances is often called “attainable luxury” – you get the high end look while sacrificing the backend support.

Please understand that your appliance may be optimal and working as it should when you purchase it. But buyer beware if you need customer support – that is when the buyers regret kicks in.

Pretty stove, but utterly disappointing. The oven is useless – Cannot recommend under any circumstances! Starting out with the fact you need to have 220 installed in addition to a gas line for a gas stove? Oh, it's adorable to look at, but that's about as far as it goes. kicks on and cools it down. Leaving you with half baked goods. Then the fan blasts for 30 minutes AFTER you turn the oven off.

Try and get a service person ! We foolishly bought the extended warranty. No one calls you back, and if they make an appointment, they don't show up. At the end of the day, after spending about $3000 for a stove, you have 1/2 cooked biscuits... pizza or pie or anything you try to bake. This morning after waiting for 40 minutes for the oven to heat, it never reached baking temp of 425, only 325. Yet the fan kicked on and the temp light indicated it was at the proper temp and it cools down.

In frustration, I just tossed out my biscuits and gave up. I have TWO thermostats in the oven to monitor the temp which tells me for a fact this oven doesn't work properly. And for the top of the stove, the electronic starters ALL fire each time to use a burner. Now the burners don't work after just a few months, we have to manually light with a lighter. Run......Do not waste your time, money and frustration on this piece of expensive trash.

Not convinced yet – I have the ilve nostalgia 90cm oven and it looks great. Stove works well in gas and easy to keep clean. Oven is not so great. Sooooo much smoke when using the oven. I purchased the oven 6 months ago and still no redemption package. I have phoned numerous times but just get told rubbish time n time again. What can I do??? please help..

Expensive piece of rubbish – ILVE 90cm Freestanding gas oven/ stove. I have been extremely disappointed with this product. 20 months old, numerous technical faults, having the same issue with the oven. This oven is unable to cook delicate items at low temperatures. under two hours and burnt! I have contacted customer service regarding this issue sometime ago, they said I need to just get used to a big oven and would call back in a week to check on the progress, well I think its been more than 6 months and no phone call. Would not recommend ILVE.

Finally I can cook! – I bought my beautiful new built-in oven ten months ago and am absolutely delighted with it! Not only does it look fantastic in my apartment but blends in with the modern look kitchen even though it is an old fashion design. straight in the first place. The temperature isn't the same when you use the force setting. The rubber seal needs replacing again, the gas hot plates don't work properly and now it has rust in the door and the green paint is coming off. There is not one thing on this very expensive oven that is working correctly.

Don't be fooled by ilve ads – Mmm. Spent about 6k on what I thought would be a better stove/ oven than smeg. Loved the small side oven idea for quick jobs. This works well. But a lot of other stuff doesn't. The lowest simmer setting is too high - u need a simmer mat. The burner assembly feels cheap, 2 burners dont fire so u have to fire another while pressing in the gas for the burner you want and today I noticed one of the metal dials on a knob has become unglued. It was installed in 2009 and I've regretted it from the beginning. Should have bought smeg or alternative quality product. Small oven. 6 burners. Quality. I'd like to repeat that, please. Quality. Uneven heating and poor simmer function

Terrible – Eurolinx company do not provide service under warranty outside of 50km range. would not recommend on this basis. 3 things broke down within few months of use. service; told had to be for travel costs to get serivce even under warranty as it was 50km out of service range. Pathetic company and terrible serivce. will not buy any ILVE products in future.
