Review for Imani Boutique Spa – A Warning to Future Customers If you're thinking of purchasing a voucher or treatment from Imani Boutique Spa — think twice. In December 2023, I purchased a $100 Luxe Pedicure voucher. It was charged at full price, with no expiry, no terms, no indication it was part of a “limited promotion.” Under Australian Consumer Law, that makes it valid for three years — no exceptions.

But instead of honouring that legal obligation, the business has taken me on a carousel of excuses:

First, they claimed vouchers would be honoured until January 2025.

Then they blamed a “business restructure” — which never happened. They still trade under the same name and ABN.

Next, they blamed the owner’s personal circumstances — which are irrelevant and not a lawful basis to deny service.

When those excuses fell flat, they conveniently pivoted to saying it was a seasonal promotion. But there’s zero mention of any time limits on the voucher or in the provided marketing material, which is a breach of consumer law.

And now, they’re claiming they have no record of our prior correspondence — despite emails, texts, and previous discussions.

This isn’t a one-off mistake — it’s a pattern of avoidance, denial, and legal non-compliance. And when I tried to resolve it respectfully? They claimed that writing a factual review like this could be considered “slander.”

Let me be crystal clear: Holding a business accountable for valid transactions isn’t a threat — it’s a legal right. If you don’t want to be accused of ripping people off, don’t give people a reason to feel that way.

I’ve now lodged a formal complaint with Consumer Protection WA and will be posting updates as the investigation continues. Given the owner's pattern of shifting blame, it’s likely they'll respond to this review with more finger-pointing — and when they do, I’ll gladly share all correspondence to set the record straight.

If you’ve had a similar experience, I encourage you to come forward. These tactics aren’t just shady — they’re unlawful.

Avoid this place. They don’t deserve your trust — or your money.
