Disappointing service – One of the most important aspects of providing accounting services is the ability to explain what is happening in layperson's terms. Unfortunately, In The Picture moved to automated practices during the pandemic. The remaining staff seem to be really under the pump, with not enough time to properly articulate to clients the details of their tax returns. If you decide to go with this company, expect a barrage of automated emails, and precious little personal communication. However, the firm still charges like a company that has full customer service.

Rip-off – Actors recommended this company to me for my tax return. I was shocked to find out how much they charged but I went with it because I thought they specialised in my industry and understand. I tried a new tax agent this year and I am so glad I did!! Honestly, top tax accountants in Sydney (such as H&R Block) charge so much less. Seriously, if you're a fellow actor, don't go to In the Picture because you think only they "get" what your profession involves. There are better and WAY cheaper tax agents out there who can do the same job for much less.
