Awesome Benefits

published

Up to $30.00 cash back each month, travel Insurance and no foreign transaction fees. Since I'm not a big spender this card ticks all the boxes without needing a huge outlay to reap some of the rewards.

Good Cash Back

published

The cashback option is good as we use this as our every day card to make nearly all of our household purchases. But if you are looking for a card with a huge bonus and loads of rewards then this card is not for you.

The 1% cashback is why you'd get this card

published

I got this card with a $6,000 credit limit, as part of my home loan package, with no annual fee. I used it as my secondary card (behind a fee free Amex with rewards), as it had no rewards package associated with it (which I found to be the biggest drawback with the card).
The card was easy to use, accepted everywhere, and easy to make repayments on as direct debits were set up against my ING transaction account.
The 1% cashback on spending (up to a maximum of $30/month) was the most attractive benefit, but since I only ever used this card as a secondary card, the cashback never amounted to more than around $100 per year.
All in all, a good card to have and use if you have other banking products with ING.

I think this card is great!

published

We got this card and got rid of two others as we knew this was much better. You get up to $30.00 cash back each month based on your spend. They ask you to have a $1000 deposit each month into it or a linked savings account of ING from an external account which is easy as we both work and as long as we have 5 x EFTPOS a month we can use any ATM with all fees refunded as well as all overseas transaction fees refunded either from puchasing online from os sites or from travelling overseas.
This in itself was awesome as we got it plus additional card before Thailand trip and had all transaction fees refunded, saved us hundreds!
Additional card is only $10 per annum charge, no biggie compared to all savings and cash back.
We love it.

Suits me just fine

published

I use a debit card and it suits my lifestyle perfectly.
I have used it overseas and just advise the bank when and where I travel.
The only stupid thing is having to transfer $1000 per month to avoid some fees... I am retired!

Insult to loyal customer

published

Banking with ING for years, $XXXk+ savings in ING, Home Loan in ING, superannuation in ING. Very happy customer, until ....
Applied for PLATINUM card with credit limit as low as $10000. Got offered CLASSIC card and $4.5k credit limit. That is lower than my monthly spendings (figure was in application). What you want me to do with CC limited lower than my monthly spending????

Feeling nothing but insult.

No bPAY option to pay bills with.

published

ING’s platinum card does not let you pay bills using bPay from the app. And does not let you pay the account in full if there are any purchases made in the last few days stuck at “pending” or put the account in credit by even a dollar.

It’s literally baffling having a platinum credit card you can’t oay bills with and can’t pay the balance off in its entirety.

If you want to pay bills using your credit card or want to be able to pay your account balance in full you won’t be able too. Recommend to avoid with prejudice.
