Investment Property Manager

Don't bother – I rented a property through them during covid. The place was renovated to hide traces of mould, which quickly appeared. When vacating they made it difficult. Three years later, my personal property that rob had informed me was still there during the vacate inspection was never even removed to be collected by me. Three years later I've just been… Read more
tracked down by the current tenant to tell me they have come across my own personal items with my photos and name on them via Facebook. I work in real estate and on vacating any property commercial so be it residential all items should be removed. It's even in the T's and Cs of fair trading that the property manager should remove the items. I am disgusted that my personal belongings were left in the property in which Rob had no care to arrange for them to be returned to me. Since they were located too far from where I'd moved to travel and get them. I ended up expecting they were destroyed. It's thanks to a new tenant whose actually got a heart to plan on returning them to me. This company will deny and deflect every problem that you find with their problem back onto you as the tenant. Then use covid to their advantage.
They threatened to hire solicitors to sue us if we wrote a negative review – With this company, I have worse customer experience in my life. The worse is that they threatened to hire solicitors to sue us if we wrote a negative review. I won't recommend this company to other tenants and owners
Asset Realty Brisbane – I have had my Brisbane Property handled by Asset Realty for about 4 years now. I had issues with this business from the start but we worked through the issues and it limped along until now. Due to the extremely high turnover of property managers the increase in rent for the new agreement was missed. The new property manager that I was dumped with… Read more
admitted that Asset Realty had stuffed up the new rental agreement and promised to subtract it from the monthly fees. 2 months on and nothing. Simply the worst business I have ever dealt with.
Unbelievably bad!! – This was by far the worst experience I have had with a property manager. IPM failed in every area. The last straw was when our tenant vacated, IPM didn’t have a clue how to find a tenant, even in a good market. Their advertisement was badly written and full of mistakes. After every open for inspection (8 in total) no update was given until I… Read more
chased the agent and a few days later they would call back with no worthwhile feedback. When voicing my concerns to the owner of IPM, her response was alarming and rude. When I found a new local agent, IPM made it as difficult as possible to transfer the keys. The new agent found a suitable tenant after a few days while also increasing the rental amount.
HORRIFIC SERVICE – WHAT A TERRIBLE COMPANY. I would never recommend anyone to use IPM to lease their property or as a rental property. They were terrible to deal with; rude, condescending and had no idea what they were doing.
Awesome experience – Their manager was very patient and knowledgable. She patiently wait and answers all our query regarding on what and where to invest. She explained to us the best market for our investment. Will recommend their service. I will get back to them once i will be decided on where to invest
Best so far but still looking – Best yet so far but still looking for other options on choosing the best property investment. Agents were great and all professional. I'll recommend this to those in tight budget.
Not Bad but satisfied! – This is my first property investment. Theirstrategist had a good understanding of my needs. They helped me with getting the better yet acceptable investment. Will look for other property investment for me to decide where do most smart investors go
Do Yourself A Favour And Give IPM A Miss – Our service with IPM started off well, however this quickly degraded after a few months when it appears that (all?) the decent staff members left. When looking for our 2nd tenant, we found that they were unable to gauge the local market as they gave us poor advice on increasing the weekly rental rate (which was misaligned to the market rate).… Read more
Despite continuous requests, they failed to provide any feedback from prospective tenants and found we perpetually had to call them to be briefed on the outcome of each scheduled inspection. Their attention to detail to the content of the online ad was also very poor. After 8 weeks of frustration (and the rental still being empty), we decided to move away from IPM and the business director reacted in an aggressive and very unprofessional manner.
I certainly would not recommend IPM to manage your investment property. We have since moved on to another agent to manage the property and they were able to lease the same place within 5 days (with the same photos and the same price) and at a fraction less what IPM was charging. We've had a fair bit of experience dealing with rental management agencies (across Melbourne and Sydney) and would regard this as by far the worst.
Inconsistent Service – Employed this agency to manage my property in 2012. The 8% management fee had no added benefits from what I could see. I did not receive a comprehensive report of the state of the property throughout the year, even though they had advised me they had conducted a mid-year assessment of the property and end of contract assessment. When I ceased… Read more
using this agency in 2013, they failed to redirect mail from strata, electricity water and council rates, back to me (they had re-routed it to their office, without my knowledge or consent at the start of the contract) and I had a number of overdue rates and notices when I was finally alerted to it in 2014.
The smoke alarm was not maintained when I reviewed the property at the end of the management agreement - it was left hanging open with no batteries installed.
Communication could be improved, poor end of contract transition, expensive management fees
