Don't waste your money. I paid $8,600 to L&L Orthodontics, because I had a front tooth that was moving behind another tooth. They talked me into getting top & bottom aligners and I wore them probably more than recommended. The only times I had to keep the aligners in for additional time was because of the problem tooth which was difficult to… Read more

shift. At the end of the alignment time that tooth was still out of alignment. I raised this several times and received different advice e.g. the tooth is a different shape. Rubbish. They wouldn't try anything further and put me into retainers despite my concerns. I wear the retainers every night and the problem tooth continues to move because it is out of alignment. Don't waste your money. A complete ripoff.

They been amazing for straightening my teeth! The braces are stable, comfortable to wear, and have been very effective in gradually aligning my teeth. I love that they’re discreet and easy to manage, making the whole process convenient.

DON'T DO IT!! READ THIS FIRST – We got invisalign for our 12 year old last year, on recommendation from our Orthodontist, when they sold us on the idea it seemed great. No braces, no regular visits to the ortho, no sore gums etc. They even had stat's that young kids were the most likely to wear them full time, this is not true of one person I've spoken to. When they sold us on… Read more

the idea we didn't know that your child has to do a scan every week with a supplied scan tool and mobile phone, the only thing they can eat or drink without removing them is water. So every single time (imagine how many times a day your child eats or drinks) they have to take the rubber bands off (another thing we didn't know about) and take the retainers out, and then remember to put them back in. The maximum time they can be out is 4 hours total per day, if they exceed this the time that aligner will be in will be increased to 2 weeks even 3 in our daughters case, this potentially doubles the time of the treatment, so 18 months become 36 or worse. Of course the potential to lose retainers whilst out or at school is very high. Our other daughter had braces, they get fitted, they hurt for a bit and you visit the ortho every couple of months, job done. I'm not even sure they are much cheaper than braces, if they are it certainly is not worth it. Of course you get the entire treatment ( 80 odd pairs of aligners) in one hit so you absolutely are stuck with them, $8500 worth!

What I wish I knew – Whilst I have the smile I always wanted, it has been a very painful and inconvenient process. Things to be aware of before proceeding: 1. You have to wear the aligner for 22hrs a day minimum. This means immediately brushing & flossing your teeth after every meal/snack. It's not practical if your out for dinner, with friends, have a life. In… Read more

addition your teeth will be constantly sensitive as your cleaning them four or five times per day. Put away your electric toothbrush for the duration of this treatment, your teeth won't be able to handle it. 2. You won't enjoy food for a while as your teeth are going to be sore for a lot of this process 3. When they put the little buttons on your teeth intially you will be very sore and you won't be able to eat anything more then soup for a good 10 days. The buttons will be sharp and will cut your mouth until they wear down enough. I had ulcers and had to get baby teething gel to help ease the soreness 4. Invisalign only cater for iPhones and Samsung's. If you have any other type of phone with a camera with isn't in a small square in the corner of the phone the new scanner won't work. You will have to use the old one which is terrible 5. Be prepared for the customer service team to talk you like your 5years old. If you complain or ask a difficult question you will be ignored. 6. It's never the aligners fault that your teeth haven't moved, it will always be yours for not wearing the aligner for 22hrs per day 7. You have to chew endlessly on these plastic chewies. Again no matter how often you do this, it's not enough. 8. If your asked to scan your teeth every 7 days don't bother, allow each 10 days, if not more. You will not change your aligners every week or every fortnight. There will be times when you have to wear the same aligner for three or four weeks because one tooth has not moved. 9. They create gaps in between your teeth by shaving in between them. It's not a pleasant process. 10. The aligners stain incredibly easily. Get yourself an electric cleaner for them. Something like a Zima dental pod.

Worst – I spent $8000 for nothing! The worst money I have ever spent. Don’t do it!

Literal Harassment – I put my number down to get an Invisalign quote. They called me a couple of times which is fair enough but I sent an unsubscribe text as I was no longer interested… the next three days AFTER unsubscribing they proceed to call me TWELVE times! Absolutely insane.

Not sustainable – It’s been almost 2 years since my treatment ended. My front teeth were crooked (my top front 2 completely overlapping) the treatment was effective and they did move and straighten. It cost about $6500 and they told me everything was covered including the permanent wires and the retainer I’d need at the end that I’d wear every night. As soon as I… Read more

got to the end of treatment it was another story & they asked me to pay for the wires and for the last retainer & getting the mould taken etc (I went to Pacific Smiles Dental in Marrickville)

In the 2 years since my treatment ended the permanent wires on my teeth have broken and moved so many times. There’s no way to eat & chew without them moving & breaking eventually & they stab you in the mouth once broken. Have already had them changed once & been told by another dentist that the wires used were poor quality & not made to last. It has broken again now for maybe the 4th time and I’m going to ask them to get rid of it permanently which I’m sure they’ll make me pay for.

Unhappy with the service as it is not made to last (my teeth will move without the wires) and watch out they will ask you to pay for every little thing even when they guarantee that it’s all covered in the beginning. Garbage

Long painful process, not worth it in the end! – I got them a while back ( approx. 5 years) but thought I'd write a review to warn others. I had a gap between my 2 top front teeth. The dentist said it will be realigned and everything would be perfect, the usual promises. Followed the process for 2 years, going in for regular checkups, changing the retainers as recommended. It did improve and… Read more

the gap was reduced, but not as well as promised. One thing they didn't tell me from the start is that you have to wear the retainers at night for ever if you want to maintain the progress. That's something unrealistic for most people! The implant that was placed at the back of the teeth to keep the 2 teeth together fell off after a while. Basically I'm back to square one after spending over $5k. Don't waste your time or hard earnt $$

This does NOT Work. Not Effective – My wife had this for 5 years and still has not fixed her teeth. Invisalign stopped supplying the braces saying they cant help anymore and 5 years is their limit. Nothing on contract on time limit whatsoever. I would say its only 60% effective. They will take a big payment for their services and say we will keep supplying till its fixed but its not the case. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROWD !!!!!

Complicated Process of Invisalign – Painful process including scanning inside your mouth (with the dramas of Victorian lockdown) so I could be fitted with Invisalign, and then again for Retainers to be worn at night for the rest of my life! Cost $5000+ to fix 2 crooked front teeth, to wear upper and lower set of plastics. The Retainers were thicker than the Invisalign and both were painful to insert, remove and wear at times. I don’t use them now.

WASTE OF MONEY DOES NOT LAS – Like the review below, my first daughter had braces, now 24 and still perfect teeth. 2nd daughter being a princess, didn't want tram lines age 13. so opted for Invisi.. after 7 grand and 4 years later, her teeth have gone back to original state. She truly regrets not getting braces. Back to the drawing board for her!

Invisalign did not work at all, which cost $5,850 – The first daughter to have a teeth straightening procedure had the "braces" method which cost $4,700 when she was younger & it was a straight forward no hassle procedure & is now an adult with perfect teeth. After her sister had the braces fitted the other daughter chose the invisalign procedure, due to the dentist telling her that it was a… Read more

better procedure (HaHa!), which cost $5,850 after 10% discount due to payment at first impression appointment. The daughter that had the invisalign method, now has teeth that are as bad as they were before the "invisalign procedure, which was a total waste of time, $5,800, suffering and inconvenience. I am looking at the $5,850 receipt as i finish this review and it feels as if our family has been scammed.

Awful, would not recommend, and terrible after service – I wrote to Invsalign Australia being dissatisfied with my results, after nearly two years of wearing these painful aligners, my smile had barely changed. I wrote to them after finding a new dentist that was confident he could give me a better result with a different version of their package, but this involved significant more investment and I was… Read more

very cautious based my previous experience.

I tried several ways to contact them for assistance having being burned with the first course and they have ignored me at every attempt. I wrote an email on the website form and heard nothing. I followed up on facebook messenger and got auto responses to say go back to the dentist. I told them, I am not going back to the dentist as I was complaining throughout the course that my teeth weren't changing and I didn't see what that could resolve and asked someone to contact me. They assured me that someone would be in contact shortly. No one ever got in contact.

I then contacted Invisalign head office in the US who were far more professional and responded instantly. The customer service agent acknowledged my email as did their facebook team, and in the end looped in the head of the customer service Australia by personal email into the thread. I allowed him a week to come back, but again he just refused to respond.

I am gobsmacked at the unprofessional standards of invisalign Australia. Their model is that they are faultless and the blame is all on the dentist. They don't want to investigate to see what went wrong, if there is further training needed for dentists or that you have had a bad experience with their brand. They are clearly a company with no morals and no regard for their customers who have spent thousands of dollars and sacrificed months of their lives.

Based on my personal results, and I should say, I do have a quite prominent overbite, I would not recommend this product. Be careful of the dentist you choose, as you have no avenue if you don't get the results you were promised. I chose a dentist that was invsialign certified but still there is no recourse, and this brand couldn't care less if their product works for you or not.

Has fixed my teeth – I have a complex bite that is a slight under bite, and my teeth are all crooked. My treatment is 2 years, and I have been on it for 1 year and 9 months so I am almost finished. My teeth are now aligned, straight, and I have a healthy overbite. There are 2 teeth that are not perfectly aligned with my front teeth, because they were severely twisted… Read more

- one tooth did a 45 degree turn which is significant. I've have over 70 aligners. The first few were a little sore but not painful. My dentists have extremely good service and will work with me to ensure I am happy with the results. I've had 2 refinements, where I've had to re-scan the current state to make more adjustments as the first scan and outcome does not provide result as intended (results are close but not exactly as the digitally rendered treatment was meant to be). I'm almost done and pretty happy this far in. My sister has an online brand and the quality isn't the same. These aligners latch onto nodes that are attached to your teeth so it doesn't scratch your gums. It did do my inner lips for a few weeks though. I found it easy to put in and pull out, after a weeks practice. Nails help. Can get nasty if you don't brush regularly. But my teeth are good.

Painful & not practical – I was shown a video of someone with perfect teeth easily putting their invisalign in and out. This is not the case at all. They have sharp edges that cut into my gums. I was also given a crowbar like tool to get them out which is very painful. There were drool bubbles visible when wearing and my speech was affected. After 8 weeks i couldn't… Read more

take the pain of putting them in and taking them out.

Also very impractical. Going out to eat in public just wasn't an option.

Even though the product is not anything like what you are shown in their advertising and i could not use the product i was still charged the full price for nothing more than 2 months of pain and pegs glued onto my teeth to show for it.

I ended up going to Bali 911 to get my teeth rebuilt. It took 2 days of work with a 5 day period in between to make my new teeth and the in between teeth they gave me were better than the invisalign.

At half the price ($4200 for 12 new teeth) i would strongly recommend avoiding invisalign.

Even if you aren't comfortable going overseas look into other options.
