Issy Bear Minky

Great night nappy for bigger bubs – I tried these when my baby was younger and they didn't work for her at all - they were far too big and bulky and I had issues with leaks - I think this was because they were very large for her in the crotch area. I continued to use the inserts in other brands of pocket nappies as I found them to be highly absorbant. I have since tried them… Read more
again when she was 7 months old and they work much better. They are the only cloth nappy I have found to last 12 hours - we have had only a very few instances of minor leaks and this is less than any other nappy including disposables. I'm impressed how dry the lining still feels in the morning even though the insets are soaked.
I only use these at night though as I have less bulkier ones in a different style during the day and the inserts can take up to a couple of days to dry (you can use them in the dryer if you wish).
The range of designs is fantastic and they have great customer service. Lasts 12 hours at night, insets are great, range and customer service Bulky, did not work on her when smaller, take a long time to dry
A big money saver – My wife decided to use cloth for our son before he was born. So she searched around and asked around for the best nappies to use. After all her research she settled on Issy Bears. In our year of use our son has not once leaked through his nappy - even overnight. They are a pocket nappy so you just put an insert in the pocket and put on, no… Read more
hassly bits to clip in. They are really absorbent and so far we have had no bad smell build up. The nappies are put in the sun "inner up" to remove any stains so they always look brand new. Plus you can use them for future children saving even more money. The initial outlay is quite expensive, we have about 30 nappies which is a really decent rotation, but if you have enough time to look around you can find them for great prices. Ours cost about $20 each on special. Which was quite a big saving.
Something to consider though is there are some extras you need to use cloth that you dont have with disposables. Such as liners (if you want to use them), A wetbag (or 3) to contain used nappies, and special laundry detergent like rockin green and dettol rinse. Cost effective, re-usable Expensive outlay
One of my fav cloth nappies – I have been using cloth for around a year now and Issy Bears would be one of my favourite brands. I use both snaps and velcro. The fit is excellent: snug around the legs, and an adequate rise at the back to contain mess. I do not suffer many leaks around the legs as the crotch area is slim and well fitted. Wing droop is non existent. The… Read more
variety of prints is staggering, new ones come out monthly it seems and many are pretty much unique to this brand. The minky nappies are beautifully soft and fluffy, they feel luxurious and it seems a shame to put clothes over them sometimes!
The quality of these nappies is high: the snaps are solid and come colour-matched to the nappy, the material feels substantial, and the overall look and feel is exceptional. So far my nappies have washed up well, they look great, the elastic is sound and there has been no delamination.
The inserts are no-fuss and reliable, fitting nicely within the shell and capable of snapping into a smaller size to fit nappies on smaller settings. The single day insert is my workhorse insert and I've not needed to add extra absorbency. Night absorbency with the day+night insert is exceptional.
A delight to use. Quality look/feel, beautiful prints and colours, reliable and trustworthy, soft and snuggly No cons as yet
Best cloth nappies out there – I have a range of cloth nappies, mostly itti bittis and cushie tushies, and then i discovered issy bear nappies. Now at first i was just won over by the cute factor as their embroidered and minky nappies are adorable, but since buying them i have been so impressed with their performance. They leak far far less than the other brands i have… Read more
used, and the layer of material against bubs skin feels far dryer (when wet) than the other brands. Their inserts are easy to put in and out and are super absorbent.
The OSFM are described as slightly bulky. I started using them on my 9kg 7 month old and found them to be fine. I like the fact that he has room to expand and that these will last his entire nappy stage, whereas i am not convinced some of the other brands will last. Although they would probably look bulky on a newborn, i personally think using cloth nappies on newborns takes a fair bit of enthusiasm (more than i have anyway!)!! When they are breastfed newborns and doing explosive poo splats at every nappy change it would be a nightmare to keep up with the washing and care, whereas once they reach 6-9 weeks and start just pooing once every day or so the majority of your nappies are just wet so it is nice and easy. So personally i would say buy the OSFM and start using them at 6-9 weeks and by that stage they would have grown fairly rapidly (my bubba doubled his birth weight by 3 months) and any bulkiness is not an issue. The new version 3 nappies which have just come out seem much slimmer too. reliable, no leaks, SOOOO cute! so popular it can be difficult to snap up the cutest designs unless you happen to log onto the website just as they are released as they sell out quick
Love them great for heavy wetter – I stated using issy bear nappies after my son was born. I liked the fact they are OSFM & as he was all most 10 pound when born they fitted him straight away. I use with both boosters as he has always been a heavy wetter all though they are bulky we have no leaks like most other brand nappies. My son is now 18 months & 14kg Issy bear's still fit… Read more

Excellent – Love the feel and they actually work. Not one leak. I am upset they were not around when I had my daughter 7 years ago, they are that cute. Soft and addorable Cant wait for more boy ones
Excellent – Issy Bear has to be my favourite nappy and the minky can be used day or night. It lasts extremely well without any leaks for over 12+ hours. Not only does the baby look absolutely gorgeous, the nappies come in one size fits most therefore it's more economical than sized nappies. Gorgeous nappy in soft minky material
Love Issy Bear Minky Nappies! – Originally I only planned to use cloth nappies 50% of the time but honestly I have found them so easy to use that I now couldn't tell you the last time I used a disposable!! Issy Bear Nappies are my absolute favourite. They haven't let me down!!! They are a soft gorgeous looking nappy but work just as well!! Great job Issy Bear!!! Everything! They… Read more
