I purchased a JB Dirt Road Extreme from an independent dealer in Port Macquarie. The van was 6 months old when we bought it. After a few months the paint started to bubble on the lower part of the aluminium panel so I contacted the dealer several times in an effort to resolve it. The dealer was not helpful at all so I got in touch with JB in… Read more

Melbourne who were absolutely awesome. I dropped my van off and picked it up 3 weeks later to find that all the outside panels had been replaced. The van now looks brand new. I couldn’t be happier with the way we have been treated.

I purchased a brand new motorhome from J B Caravans Gold Coast. and the warranty experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. From the outset, the motorhome presented with numerous defects, a leaking shower, front door strut collapse… Read more

and outside hatch strut mounted incorrectly using flimsy screws, a sliding drawer bottom falling out, a faulty outside light, water leaking into the battery compartment and a complete hot water system failure. This is a new vehicle, and these are NOT minor cosmetic issues - they are basic build quality and safety concerns. Some of these issues remain unresolved despite repeated contact. The delays have been excessive, communication has been poor, and follow up has been inconsistent. It feels like once JB had our money, the urgency to provide proper customer support disappeared. When you spend a significant amount of money on a new motorhome, you expect reliability, accountability, and professional after-sales service. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. The warranty process has been drawn out and stressful, and the level of service has fallen well short of expectations. Based on our experience, I would strongly urge potential buyers to carefully consider the quality of after sales support before committing to a purchase

Follow-up  · Parts are, and always were available Yes the motorhome is safe to drive No loaner was offered A very big thank you to the team at product review.com.au - since you published my review I was contacted by JB caravans warranty department and they have sent me a replacement LED light assembly - where they had failed to follow up previously despite… Read more

Failed To Repair An approved Warranty Claim – I have a 2023 JB Gator X. I have used the van less than 5 times, less than 3,000KM travelled and the air suspension failed due to an air leak. I contacted JB caravans via their warranty process and had no response. I then contacted the manufacturer of the suspension to see if they could help with warranty as it is their product. After… Read more

investigation by the manufacturer they confirmed it was JB Caravans that installed the suspension incorrectly causing the failure, and they would have to honor the claim. I then emailed JB caravans with a complaint and they got straight back to me with an apology, they then contacted me again to say they would replace both sides of the suspension before Christmas 2023 to ensure I could get away for a planned trip. It is now February 2024 and they are no longer responding to emails regarding my claim.

My caravan has been off the road for months without a timeline on a resolution.

I would never buy another JB Caravan or recommend them to anyone again.

Pre delivery checks very poor – Flooring holes not sealed solar incorrectly wired, brake cable rubbing against tyre, cheap batteries, shockers not suited to off road van, all strip lighting had to be replaced, we have had huge costs all extra within two years that we should not have had to endure. Two chargers have been replaced which could have been avoided if pre delivery check had been done. Very disappointing

No Stabilizer Bars Not Satisfactory – Take care when taking delivery of your JB. I was badly advised. When the van was hitched to my Disco 2 the ball weight was so heavy that the tow bar was almost scraping the ground. The workmen then turned my tow bar over, so it was higher off the ground and I was sent on my way; with my front wheels only just on the ground. I then had to make… Read more

my own arrangements to have stabilizer bars attached. This should have been done pre delivery as I believe I was not roadworthy when I left the factory. Staff in Queensland told me they always fit stabilizer bars, so why not the factory in Melbourne.

This is simply not satisfactory.

Terrible after sales warranty – Be very careful when buying a new van. We looked at many companies for the last 5 years. Read a review that JB caravans gave great warranty and after sales service. It isn't so we have had problems with our van and can't get anything done been given such a run around. Shame really it has put us off so much after saving and researching for 5 years and then buying our first van. Not a good way to try to grow your sales .

Fitout selection – Michelle and I went to J&B,s factory for our fitout selection and to do a factory tour, the factory was set up ok and tidy for a construction area. The staff were helpful and anserwed my dumb questions,we saw the vans being built from bare chassis to fully completed and everthing looked OK.Then came the time to pick our colours and finishes, the… Read more

selection was huge with just about any colour or finish you wanted, as we wanted bright and easy clean finishes we went with white base and coloured doors and splashbacks .There was a misunderstanding regarding the chassis upgrade from 4 to 6 inch as it was only a verbal agreement at the time of buying but Terry stuck to his word even though it was months before, and that it was included in the sale price.I am still a happy camper and cant wait to take delivery of the van.I will update this review after our first trip.

Best Value Caravan in Australia – Just had our custom caravan made by JB Caravans in Melbourne. Great customer service and a great caravan. Could have found a cheaper option but we thought the quality of the vans they had on display was jb so much better, and they were much cheaper than some of the bigger brands around. We got a picnic table on the van, even though we didn't order… Read more

it (they said it was their mistake so they didn't charge us extra) but apart from that the build quality and price was just second to none. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a new caravan to check them out. Cost, quality, customer service
