They move quick but incredibly careless and negligent – Would not recommend! I was shown a photo of one damaged piece of furniture only after I reported it as damaged and the photo was taken when it was in the truck rather than before it was moved.
The items damaged were my bedside table, 3 drawer bathroom storage unit, framed picture, buffet, coffee table, 3-seater couch, pilates machine, TV, shoe cabinet and hall table and I get offered $50 emotional compensation!?
The photos are clear evidence of the poor stacking and protection of items in the truck, as well as the careless manner in which they were loaded and moved.
I take great pride in how my house looks and most of my oak furniture looks crap now. Nothing was damaged before or I would've replaced it.
You will get a quick service but you won't get a careful one. They deny all damages but after I reported damages after they completed the job one of the guys was yelling very aggressively at the other worker so they obviously knew they stuffed up. Absolutely appalling.
AFFORDABLE AND EFFICIENT SERVICER! – Have used Eric & team for our move. Must admit they’ve been professional and supportive throughout the process. They kept clear communication from start. They were also able to assist us in disassembling furniture and reassembling it where we needed it at the destination. I really suggest it.
Great value!! – I moved last week with JD movers. Two men came with a spacious and well equipped truck. They were very careful and protective. No hesitation! Their requested time was exactly the same as I calculated. All the staff were intact without any damage. I highly recommend JD movers as I recommended it to my friends. Thank you JD movers team, thank you Eric for making such a stressful job much easier and pleasant for us.

has strung me along for near two years promising to establish an affidavit but refuses to be a man of they word and assist me where possible
Please note: I don’t believe JD movers had anything to do with the destruction on the day they entered my home but it’s disgusting they offer help but (two years later) here I am pleading with management to help and all I get are lies
In my opinion, should you wish to save cash on interstate moving (my experience has it) do not rely on gumtree advertised movers who may plead ignorance when a crisis hits OR run to the hills when it’s time to do the right thing
Jd movers never supplied me an invoice OR anything when requested OR arranged and so without his affidavit I have little evidence to present police
Any manager of any other movers would have ‘dropped everything to help’ but not JD movers who seem to be happy to watch and lend no hand

Good honest company – Approached JD for home move. Good priced quote. Unfortunately they could not provide what we wanted at the time. They were up front with this and returned our deposit without question.

After called 3 time of police, the police officers came and helped us to negotiate with [Name Removed], we paid the rest even they not finish their job yet, and they unload our stuff and run away. it was an absolute disaster... My kids screaming and crying as they never saw we fight with somebody else. All my parents and in-laws feels exhausted as they try to help. All this happen is because they are lied to us we booked a 55 Cubic meters big truck to move our 4bedroom house from Melbourne to Sydney, but they sent us a small truck as 48 Cubic Meters (7.5*2.4*2.7). So they cannot fix all our stuff in the truck and they spend 5 hours to try to put them all in but still left some behind. We packed everything so well and move them all in the garage just hope they can move faster, even I agreed to pay one more staff to help move. Because I plan to drive from Melbourne to Sydney, it’s take 10 hours. As they slow and unprofessional we got Sydney at midnight. They blamed on us and said we got too much stuff, before the move their boss [Name Removed] came to our house checked and I warning him I got lots of furniture that why we booked a big truck. Now they refuse to bring the rest of our stuff left behind Melbourne to us. They do not have any storehouse so I ask my neighbor to help keep my things there. We moved lots of time as different working contract, sometime the removals come late, some may be broke something, but we never get EXTORTION AND HURT! So Stay Away from them for You and Your family.
Really efficient and careful – These guys were absolutely great! Moved into a 2 bed apartment from a house and they were super efficient and careful. Would 100% recommend and use again. The best, used them twice – Moved from Melbourne to Bendigo in Aug 2020, then back to Melbourne in Mar 2021. These guys are the best, super quick, affordable and not a single scratch on anything. Highly recommend!!

company to help move us in between), settlement was 12 noon and they finally moved us out at 7pm (with my husband on the trolley), they broke a bottle of 1978 grange and also said they hooked up our freezer (which was fully of food), only to discover 3 days later it wasn't! I wrote to [Name Removed] via email about these issues - (after delayed responses) he blamed me for the underestimation of the quote, the grange and the fridge. [Name Removed] and his mate lied! They take no responsibility and blame us (the not-professional movers!) what a joke! Don't use them!!!!!!!!! Please save yourself heartache and extra cash!
