We had a Sigenergy solar battery and some Jinko panels installed a few weeks ago. My partner and I had been looking for a battery for our existing panels, and through SolarQuotes.com.au we were recommended three installers. One of them was JFK Solar, which we decided to go with as they are local—just down the road. We requested a quote, and… Read more
within a day we received a very detailed, in-depth proposal recommending additional panels and a large battery. We had initially been interested in Tesla, but since our house is three-phase, there would have been some limitations with the Powerwall 3. After doing some research on Sigenergy, we found that although they are relatively new, they provide a large amount of information and resources. So, we decided to choose this option.
They advertise finance options, and although we enquired about it, we didn’t receive any details, so we went with another finance provider. Once we obtained the funds, I emailed JFK Solar, and within two days they had a date ready—just before the Christmas break. That timing didn’t work for us, so we rescheduled for the new year, and a week later they had another date available.
On installation day, they arrived on time (6:30 a.m.) with a small army—friendly and straight into the job. The power was off for about half the day, which was understandable given the size of the job. Before leaving, they showed my partner all the ins and outs, and they were done by about 3 p.m. The battery and inverter area are clean, tidy, and well presented.
As I have an attic ladder, I decided to take a look. They placed warning signage at the top of the ladder, which was a nice touch. However, I did notice the cabling looked a little rushed—it’s not really run along beams or tucked away. Instead, it’s strung like Christmas lights in flexible conduit from point to point, crossing the attic ladder. I feel this could increase the cost of installing an attic floor or room later, which I do intend to do. Existing conduit from the previous wiring was left unused and empty in the roof.
Payment was easy, though I recommend caution. They use Xero accounting software, which makes everything simple—point and click. However, when I went to pay the large amount for the system (clearly displayed in bold in the center of the screen), I transferred the money from one account to another, clicked “Pay,” and was told the amount was insufficient. After checking all my details and accounts, I realized that above the pay button, in much smaller writing, the amount included what I assume was a 2% surcharge—adding about $360. That’s fine; everyone needs to make money on services offered, and from what I’m told, JFK is charged for using this service too. They did offer a direct bank transfer option to avoid this surcharge.
I’m very happy with JFK Solar and have recommended them to a few people who have asked about our installation and system.
Conclusion
Overall, my experience with JFK Solar was excellent. From the quick and detailed quoting process to the efficient installation and clear communication, they delivered on their promises. While there were minor areas for improvement—such as tidier cabling and clearer finance details—the professionalism, speed, and quality of the work far outweighed these issues. I feel confident in the system we’ve installed and would gladly recommend JFK Solar to anyone considering solar upgrades.

We recently went into the marketplace to upgrade our 7-year-old solar generation system and add battery. We went around the marketplace and discovered that there is so much on offer and so many options especially as our old system inverter was not a… Read more

One of our main selection criteria was to try and employ a local supplier, and it became obvious that JFK Solar was to be the supplier of choice in our area (Peel / Murray). From the outset John and his team addressed every possible option for our existing system and gave us plenty of choices to consider.
In the end we ended up with additional panels to bring our system up to 10kw generation, feeding into a recommended Sigenergy 8kw inverter coupled to 24kw battery. I think there were plenty of choices offered to us by a few suppliers, but even though Sigenergy are relatively new to the Australian market, the equipment appears to be very, very good and just what we were looking for.
The Sigenergy battery and system is state of the art, modular, totally integrated with a small footprint (very, very neat!). It is installed externally (IP66 weather rated) as we didn't want the battery and a bollard in our carport. Could not be happier with the choice of Sigenergy and look forward to many years of not pulling power from the grid. We are 10 days in and have pulled a fraction of a kw hr from the grid.
The Sigenergy also has state of the art fire suppression which was important to us. The AI app to run and monitor the whole sigenergy system is something else, its excellent !
We have dealt with many good tradespeople over the years, but JFK were on a different level. Nothing was too much trouble and we were very impressed with the quality of the work execution - very neat, tidy, finished to a very high standard with all the people involved very professional !
From the Manager John, through the office and admin staff, to Shane with his amazing level of knowledge and enthusiasm, and all the team of people who installed our system, the communications, organisation, scheduling and support was exemplary. We could not be happier with the whole process and the quality of the system install. Great job !!! thank you !!!
PROS: (1) JFK Solar were very professional, thorough - finished work was very neat, tidy and well organised (2) For us, local supplier, just down the road with their own work teams, not contracted out to 3rd party (3) The recommendation by JFK for Sigenergy equipment was well received and its great (4) The Sigenergy batteries / inverter are modular - about half and hour to add another battery (5) Support was great - helped set up and explain the SIGEN app that runs the system (its fantastic!) (6) Good customer service with people who are very knowledgeable and experienced
CONS: Cant think of any cons, pretty much everything was dealt with by JFK (Applications for rebates, change to Synergy / Western Power) and associated documents, permits / etc. all dealt with by JFK.
Follow-up · Follow up review 9/1/26. Since installing the Sigenergy system it has performed very well and has exceeded our expectations. There have been 2 incidents with the battery switching off (self protection mode) following potential power surges during an electrical storm incident and the installer was very quick to respond and check the system,… Read more

Overly Impressed – JFK ES&A came to us via Ambience Air Bibra Lake, to install our reverse cycle unit and remove the old evaporative unit. Bruce led the team and were all so professional. He ran through the entire process with me, they were extremely organised, laying out all the materials strategically for the install. They were very respectful of the property,… Read more
taking a lot of care. They cleaned up and vacuumed, leaving the house cleaner than when they arrived. Bruce explained the controller and made sure I was confident and happy before leaving. What impressed me the most was how respectful all our tradies were of each other. They were so kind and obliging - even on the hot day they they working in. I can't recommend Bruce and his team, high enough. Thank you so much JFK!
Very Happy Customer – Great company to deal with. Everything starting from the quote through to a follow up regarding a problem I had with the Fronius App was prompt and easily resolved. John and his team are very organised and excellent to deal with.
Great new solar system in time for summer – We just installed solar panels with JFK Electrical. John was helpful, very patient & always willing to explain technical terms to me very simply in easy-to-understand terms. His staff are efficient, polite, professional. I'm really happy with the result and am looking forward to seeing the reduction in my electricity bills.
