Burning oil with 90 hours on JD àe140 – Bought JD e140 in 2018 and it's burning about a quart of oil after running an hour. I'm thinking the head gasket is shot. Unbelievable. Show details
Really Disappointed – Bought JD since other brand was crap. Seemed ok when it was new, but started noticing little things. For three(3) blades, it didn’t seem to cut well and it left several small strips of grass. Bought the bagger, and it is just total garbage. The chute plugs up, at attachment. chute. It is 2 years old and suddenly it doesn’t start. Checked all connections, battery good wires tight, brake and seat sensors test ok. YouTube vids don’t seem to help. So wasting more time trying to figure out what’s wrong. Scale of 1-10 I give it a 4. Should have got zero turn.
Would never buy a John Deere product again – I have had my E140 ride on mower for2.5 years now and have to say I am extremely disappointed with it. The cut is not as expected nor the operation of the mower itself. The service costs are ridiculous - and having to wait 3 weeks to get my mower back from a service is also extremely frustrating. Would not recommend John Deere to anyone. Show details
Crap mower – Brand new E140 yet can't mow paspalum, my yard looks like crap, I thought for sure something was wrong with the mower blades but have since been told by John Deere that it is a known fault with triple blade cutting decks. mow grass, not paspalum. I shouldn't have bought another John Deere my LA125 I had previously (which could mow paspalum) did a head gasket at 98hrs and cost $2500 to repair!
