Useless – 1 star is for AEM intakes which K&N own. For their after sale service. I’ve been trying to order a part from them for over 2 weeks. They take over 10 days to reply to emails with generic nonsense that doesn’t answer any of my questions or help me order the required part. It’s like the company is a scam

K&N Poor Quality and Design – Over the years i've bought a few K&N filters but there is one factor in their construction that's totally against their objective of higher flow. That is the way they use adhesive on the end of the pleats, inside the rubber surround, which restricts the effective cross sectional area of the filter. The stock filter in this case is 117mm… Read more

wide[inside the rubber surround] while the K&N is effectively 95mm inside the adhesive border. That's 19% less area on a good one but this one, on the intake face, is far from straight and averages 90mm wide which is 23% less than the stock filter.

That's $71 down the drain because when there's no clear benefit, there's no point, especially on a new car under warranty.

As an update the seller[not K&N] has agreed to a refund after seeing the photo, so a happy ending.

K&N Won’t help – I wrote the following to K&N head office and got no help whatsoever. Hi I’m writing to let you know that I have grown up with K&N filters for many years. I have had them in all my cars and motorcycles and always have recommended them to all my friends and colleagues until now. I replaced standard filter on my wife’s Yamaha XMax 300 scooter… Read more

with a K&N air filter about 14 month’s ago. The filter has shrunk and allowed dust and particles to go to engine. Luckily no damage to engine.

Can you please assist with this as this is the first time I have had any problems whatsoever. I have a 1997 Harley with K&N air filter which has has been on the bike for years and no problem.

I await your reply.

K&N Air Filter for Hyundai ix35 diesel – I have recently installed a K&N air filter on my Hyundai ix35 crdi and I have noticed an immediate difference. The car is more responsive and it runs smooth but what surprised me was the improved fuel consumption. With the standard air filter I was averaging 10.5L/100Km. Now doing the same driving I get 8.3L/100Km. I was lucky and got it at almost… Read more

the same price as the OEM filter from Supercheap, it was on sale. It may cost a bit more but it does bring fuel savings in the long run and there is no need to replace as often. The K&N can be cleaned and reused.

Great Product – I have used these on two different cars now and on both they do make a difference, no not a placebo effect but real world difference. On our 2.2 lt diesel in everyday driving, it was the difference between going over the same hill every day that the car would hold 5th (top gear in our auto ) with the standard filter it would kick back to 4th. yes… Read more

it did make a difference. In the second car a 2.5 lt subaru engine it also made a difference, acceleration was alot smoother and also delivered the power from lower revs, i actually did a few tests by doing the same route with the stock filter, then changed to the k & n filter then back and forth again and it definitely made a difference to the driveabilty on the same route. I would recommend this product but dont expect it to work miracles as it wont do that, it dosnt give you another 10 kw or anything like that but in my experience it improved the driveability of both cars i have used it in.

Simply the best – I had them on my W163, W211 and Suzuki Swift and very happy with them, they are design to increase air flow which mean you don't need to put your foot down hard on the accelerates to get the cars moving. Thanks K&N better than genuine air and oil filters.

Great performance add on for city driving – I purchased a K&N flat pan air filter 6 months ago when my paper filter needed replacing. I have a Ford Falcon BF and have found the car has increased performance when over taking and taking off at lights. When you need to put your foot down the power is there as opposed to the standard paper filter where there would be a 2 second lag for the… Read more

car to respond.

Another good aspect to purchasing this filter is on the environment as you don't need to throw it out. You just need to purchase a cleaning kit to renew the filter. Performance, reliable, simple upgrade & legal

K&N k and n panel oem replacement filter – I bought one it doesnt make any difference in perfomance over a oem filter just makes more sucking noise giving a placebo effect that it performs good :) if this product is so good why does all new car manufacturer not make it standard with new cars its around same price as a OEM paper filter. Placebo Effect Cost more then OEM paper filter which all manufacturers still use
