Broken hearted – I've been an avid fan since purchasing this product on catchoftheday years ago. I was broken hearted when my 'nanna blankie' broke last night :( As somebody who really feels the cold, every winter this blanket has been the only thing that kept me warm and manged to get me through the cold winter nights on the lounge. I even threw out my… Read more

heater as the blanket provided better warmth on cold winter nights.

Last night I was on the lounge and started to smell a burning type smell so I immediately turned the blanket off at the control and the power point. I checked the blanket and it wasn't alight. It smelt almost like a burning element type smell. I'm not game to turn the blanket back on out of fear of it catching on fire. Leading up to this I had felt like the blanket was over heating.

I would like to buy another but I am hesitant - can these actually catch on fire the same way you hear electric blankets doing so on news reports? The heat it provided & energy effiency Could be a bigger size, longer cable, worried about the safety of the product now.

I'm warm but disappointed – The Kambrook throw seems to be designed for very short wide people, it's not long enough to cover my feet and shoulders at the same time so one bit of me is always cold.yet it is wide enough for 2 people. The controller continuously falls out of the socket whenever I move and even on 1 it is too hot to leave turned on. I love heated throws, I… Read more

think they are the best invention ever but this one has too many negatives to ever buy again. economical heating too hot, loose controller, not long enough.

So cozy! – I like others, purchased this through Catch of the Day in May 2011. Have not had any problems with it at all! Still heats up as normal, and works as well as the day I got it. So so soft and really warm. Heats up really quickly, only need to leave it on about 3 otherwise it is too hot! My cats love it too and try to hijack my spot on the couch as… Read more

it's warming up.. Need to be careful as their claws may damage the heating elements inside.

It is washable, but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet, I use it on top of another thin blanket.

It does have a safety cutout if it gets too hot, which is a reason why I chose to get this one too. Love it! Everything! But mainly the warmy warmness. Wish it was a tad bigger.

Dangerous – Hi, I purchased my Kambrook Snugasabug heated throw in May 2011. I have never folded or scrunched it while either turned on or off. I found it wonderful until last week, 11/10/2011 when I turned it on at the power point, thank heavens I did not leave the room while waiting for it to heat, noticed the power light was on but the digital readout as… Read more

to what the setting was was faulty, smelled a slight electrical burning, lifted the control to smell it, no, no smell. Within 3 minutes the whole blanket was smoking so I reefed it out of the new surge protect power board. The supposed safety cut off switch on the Heated Throw obviously did not work. I loved it until this happened & I am still trying to get my money back. Upshot. Never leave the room while this blanket is turned on. Warm and Snuggly It caught on fire

Don't bother – This cost me $75 and it is pretty useless. Even on the highest temperature it barely heats up. You could get this same kind of heat as with a normal blanket after your own body heat heats it up. Also I was hoping for it to be a queen size, but this isn't even single size. It doesn't cover my feet or fit around my body, so I can't get 'snug' its… Read more

just a bit of material barely hanging on to my back.

So long story short. Don't waste your money. Find a better brand that you know works, because of reading good reviews. Feels nice to rub, even when not heated. *Expensive for what it gives. *Doesn't get hot enough *Not long enough length ways and width ways

How did I live without it? – I can describe my experience with my throw in one word bliss! Because it is big enough for two we can watch T V as snug as a bug. It has 9 heat settings and it heats up quickly then we turn it down finding one is enough for us. The extra bonus is it saves heaps on the power bill. energy efficient plus.

Absolutely love it! – Bought this on an internet special. Lent it to my daughter studying for HSC. That was a mistake. Now I need one! This rub is absolutely fantastic. Today we have a bitterly cold day and we don't need to heat the whole house. Just put the rug around your shoulders and you will be as snug as a bug in a rug! OK so it's no good if you want to… Read more

Perfect for couch potatoes!!!!! – Using this is much cheaper than heating the whole house. Great for sitting on the couch watching TV - also good for kids who sit for hours at a time studying. Nice snuggly fabric - my daughter also uses it without heat because it's so soft. Nice quality, inexpensive to run. Cuts down on heating bills when you're home alone. Need to sit near a power point while using it.

Works like a dream – My heating bills have halved this winter. Instead of heating the whole room during the week I just turn the throw rug on when I get home. 3 is more than hot enough. I usually whack it on 6 to warm up quickly(less than 5 mins) then turn it back to 3 for the evening. It's not suppose to be wrapped right around you like a normal rug as it has… Read more

electric cords going through it. Just place on top of you. I curl up on the couch with the cat & dog and it's more than adequate. Sometimes my 20 yo son and I sit there together one each end of the couch with the rug shared. Seriously thinking of getting a second one. Fast, effecient and cheap to run My worst problem is falling asleep on the couch because it is so cosy

Perfect when watching tv – It is great. No problems with mine so far, and it did'nt cost a fortunely. It warms up quickly and is perfect heat on 2. I would cook on 9. Good for aching legs. heats up quickly None so far, I have only had it for a couple of weeks.
