Second chance – We love how light the kettle is so when the lid broke on the first one we just replaced the kettle with like. Now the lid has broken again after only 6months use. It has plastic hinges and is not abused as we thought we were too rough maybe on the first kettle. It appears to be a design fault. Show details

It's OK – It's a nice kettle but for the $$$ I was disappointed with a 6 month shelf life before it started to malfunction. The lid broke off, parts of the handle started to heat up on occasion, and there was always a few drops of water on the base when I lifted the kettle - and I am sure they were not drops I made. I expected a much stronger product from Kambrook. Show details

lid broke off and is not repairable - disappointed – The lid came off (broke out of its hinge) without applying any force. It's a plastic hinge and doesn't seem to be able to get repaired. More than $100 for something that broke well too fast. I dont' spending a bit more money but would expect quality. I'll try a Breville next (another $40 dearer I guess...) Show details

Loved everything about it- until it started leaking from the base and then stopped working – I've had 2 of these Kettles, bought one after the other because I just loved the design. All round glass means not trying to see through a gauge and knowing exactly how much water is in it at a glance. And there is something soothing about seeing the water boil. (I now understand the appeal of fish tanks!) -Light weight and better handle to… Read more

kettle balance for holding (compared to the Russell Hobs Brita Model I bought to replace it.) -It has a nice wide spout for easy direct pouring. -The on switch is a broad lever, satisfying to push down at the bottom of the handle. -The lid opening button is at the top, exactly where you want both switches to be for ease of use. -The lid opens quickly so you don't have to wait around and without flipping water anywhere (like some of those slow opening ones, claim can happen.) -I never noticed the noise till I bought the Hobs one which is quieter. -As I say I loved everything about it. Which is why when the first one died I figured it was just unlucky that I had scored a dud and bought another.

-But it they both leaked, within a month of purchasing, from the bottom of the Kettle onto the base every time I used it. -They both collected calcified rust along the seems between glass and plastic (I've since learned this is possibly because I need to be de-scaling my kettles once a month with Vinegar.) But I only use filtered water so I didn't think this would be an issue? -Anyway they both and stopped working, just before the 2year anniversary of purchase. -The box clearly says 2yr Warranty BUT when you go to the website it says

"All Kambrook products come with a 12 month replacement Warranty and any warranty information on the packaging should be disregard".

It also says "Kambrook products can only be returned to place of purchase" But that "you should register your new products with us to receive news about special promotions and competitions exclusive to registered customers" essentially not so we can help you but so we can send you emails.

Kambrook these Kettles a great - if can you seal up the leaks (I've seen many customers have experienced the same thing) and back what you've created by honouring the warranty advertised on the box and replacing them yourselves. Then it would be a 5 star kettle! :D

So far, excellent – As loud as my supposedly super-quiet old breville in the stainless steel. I purchased it this morning, and have used it a lot today. This kettle is over-priced, like they all are, however less so than most, and I got a good deal as I had a Good Guys voucher. That brought it to $46, which is a tad over what it's worth. I love that I'm able to… Read more

see any scale, which reminds me to clean it.

As another reviewer said, it boils for exactly 12 seconds after it reaches initial boiling point, however I like that, as you know any bugs are then dead, and you are gonna get a really hot cuppa.

I like that it's small, as I have limited bench space on that side of the kitchen.

One way the breville wins, is that it has a soft-open lid... this jug wants to smack you in the face when it opens! I could see the lid breaking if you had a large family and being filled all day every day - or if you're a tea addict, like I am.

It's quite an attractive thing, which is a bonus, as I'm all about function over looks. Like my computer OS, I don't need pretty, I just want the ruddy thing to work! And this does that, just fine.

Very happy indeed! – Had my eye on this one for 6 months finaly took the plunge and purchased it after researching lots of different kettles, cant believe how many bad and overpriced kettles are out there. The Kambrook KKE760CLR replaces my previous Kambrook Kettle which was still working fine 10 years plus, but the white plastic was looking a bit grubby and I like… Read more

how this new one is BPA free and looks very smart, matches all my other stainless steel kitchen appliances. I've only had the kettle for a couple of weeks, but very happy with it. The kettle has a wide opening on top that is easily filled, the kettle itself is very light weight when lifting, filling it, which I like, it sits nice and sturdy on it's base. Its noisiest when it begins to heat up/boil but gets quieter. It"s a little noisier than my previous kettle on initial start up, and my kitchen is open plan so yes the TV may have to be turned up for 30 seconds or so, but not a huge issue. A bit concerned about limescale build up in future, and the kettle is clear so any nasty stain will show, will descale kettle once a month with vinegar and water mix. I use water from a water filter jug, not sure if this will reduce staining. My previous kettle had a nasty btown stain on the steel base but I never bothered to descale it and it was over 10 years old, and the kettle wasnt see through so couldn't see it. The price of the kettle is amazing only $69. Appears very well made. Will keep an eye on any leaks from the jug as one reviewer has commented on here, will report back if I have any issues, so very happy with my purchase. Would have given 5 stars but haven't owned it long enough to give that. Highly reccommended.

Good kettle – I've only had it a few days but I'm impressed so far. It looks good. The all important on/off switch is easy to access and flick on. The lid of the kettle seems sturdy and easy to open and close. The blue "on" light is on one side of the kettle only, which may be an issue for anyone left-handed who might have kettle positioned with left side… Read more

facing wall. Then you wouldn't see the light. That's a non-issue for me.

This kettle is cheaper than some of the others, and from what I can see is equal or better quality than the more expensive kettles. I would rate this over the equivalent Breville glass kettle, Sunbeam and other glass kettles that I looked at.

This kettle is 2200 watts, slightly less power than some other kettles, but boils quick enough.

Easy to pick up, fill and pour. No annoying beeping sounds or gimmicks you'll find on some other kettles. Kettles don't need to beep..

The base of the kettle isn't bad, the kettle sits reasonably stable on the base, and I think is better than some other brands I looked at. I would prefer a slightly heavier base in any kettle, just to avoid the base moving around.

Kambrook makes bold claims about "durability". Good to see this is the focus, but time will tell whether it's true.

4 stars, but only because I have no idea if this kettle will last for years. If it does, then it's 5 stars.

Great kettle until it started leaking at 4.5 years old – We decided we wanted a glass kettle because it's good to be able to easily see now much water is in it. Compared to the others this one was more compact and lighter. We were very happy with it until it started leaking at the base at 4.5 years old. Show details

Best kettle ever – Love this kettle, has 6 cup measurements on outside so you can measure how much you want to boil. Switches off automatically. So easy to clean as the element is underneath. Has an easy flip top lid. Boils water well and quickly. Has a good shape solid handle not hot to touch. Show details

Lightweight and good quality BPA Free – I was using a plastic Kambrook kettle for more than 2 years, now having some issues with its starting function, so search around and find this kettle, two important reason to buy this, first its BPA free mentioned explicitly by Kambrrok, I couldn't find any other brand mentioning this in the market, second it has 2 years replacement warranty,… Read more

other brands usually comes with one year, and most important its a glass kettle, love to see water level and the bubbles inside,I love that it is so easy to see how much water is in it. It's not very heavy when empty, making it easy to fill and carry. Takes standard boiling time, so far so good.

Go shopping for an hour before the jug heats up – So I boil a full jug of water. It takes way too long. Then after 15 minutes to boil again, I have to wait ages for boiling water. Lamb rook is probably the worst jugs to boil water. Takes too long for hot water. Plus the nosil has a bad design. Show details

Expected more from a kettle – We have had this kettle for just on four years. Apart from developing a small amount of leaking when pouring we were happy with it. Unfortunately it just stopped working after four years of use. Previously we've had kettles last over 15 years, so a bit underwhelmed by four. Show details

They don't last Long (I've had 2), but I like them – It provides a lower minimum water level of 300ml vs most others at 3400ml, this means you can potentially save a lot of power/money if you like small cups of tea. The glass is very clear so it's easy to see the scale that you might otherwise ignore. I've had 2 of these and both times the spring in the lid has given up the ghost so that you have… Read more

to help it open up to fill from tap.

This one is slowly leaking water from the bottom somewhere, glass is OK so a seal is dying somewhere, not dangerous, just annoying.

I will not be buying a 3rd and probably the 3rd won't be a Kambrook.

Poor quality – Cosmetically appealing but functionally disappointing. Boiled for too long before switching off, gathered settlement and started leaking within two years. It is by far the worst kettle I have had. No matter how much I pay for a product: if it does not last for a reasonable time or is at the very least reparable (and neither applied for this… Read more

Leaky & flimsy – While it works fine as a kettle, it did have some minor leaks through the life which we tolerated. However, just over a year after purchasing (and outside of the warranty period), the lid snapped and is now unusable. Would not recommend dropping the $79 it cost us, buyer beware. Show details

Great kettle apart from the leaks and steam burn – Like others, I thought this was a great kettle until I started noticing the water on the base. Initially it was only when the kettle was more than half full and I thought it was bubbling over so I tried not to overfill it, now it happens regularly with only one or 2 cups of water. I've also noticed that steam travels up the inside of the handle… Read more

somehow so if I pick it up too quickly I get a steam burn from the seam. Mines well out of warranty so I'm amazed to find this model is still being sold despite the multiple complaints and massive safety issues. I've also found it boils for quite a while and wondered if this was contributing to the issue (leading me to take it off sooner and burn my hand on the steaming handle)

Started leaking from base then stopped working – We really liked this kettle initially - being able to see the liquid level and the water boiling was great. It was also easy to use and poured well. Leaky, steam coming from lid button – Got this to replace a 'house brand' kettle that failed after 3 years. Fine until it starts leaking – This kettle served us well for several years, but then started leaking. It can't be fixed. A kettle should last many, many years. I won't be buying another Kambrook kettle. Other minor downsides are its noisy, and it doesn't switch itself off until long after the water boils unnecessarily wasting power. Show details

Leaking – Bought this as a gift, the idea of being able to see through is a really good idea. Boils water really well but is a lttle noisy. There may be design issues. Failed after 20 months – Bought the kettle in 20 June 2018 so it is 21 months old. It stopped working 1 April 2020. Element failed. Very disappointed. 21 months is a very short life. Kettles should last longer. Consumer Affairs say we are entitled to a reasonable life not just the paper warranty of 12 months. Don't buy Kambrook! My next kettle will be anything but Kambrook.

Good quality kettle – Bought this to replace a glass kettle from Aldi as the lid broke. I wanted glass, this one was affordable and I've generally had only good experiences from kambrook products. Decent – This is a good and decent kettle with no significant issues, but I ended up going with the Breville BKE395 instead as the Kambrook doesn't allow you to remove the plastic filter, so you're pouring through plastic which defeats the purpose of buying a glass/steel kettle for health reasons. Also the Breville has silicon sealant over the glue which… Read more

Excellent Kettle but breaks before its time – The feature that attracted me to this kettle was the glass rather than plastic kettle. No plastics in my tea or coffee. The instructions provide the following warning without any discussion of why it was important (which I should have remembered to tell my whole family about)

WARNING: Do not remove the kettle from the power base during operation. Ensure the kettle has switched to the ‘OFF’ position after the water has boiled before removing the kettle from the power base.

This happened frequently enough in a family in a hurry. The kettle did not turn itself off in a hurry.

The kettle is clearly well made.
