Makes great pancakes and is much safer and consistent than a fry pan. Grand kids love them!
Better than expected – Bought it for myself. Took it to the grandkids house 3 times and gave up - left it there and bought another one for myself. They make perfect pancakes and no messy pan, no flipping them over. So easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Bought the first one about 6 weeks ago so they’re still new. But the last 3 weeks the one I initially… Read more
bought has been making pancakes 5 days a week for 4 growing boys and it’s still working well. I do use a silicone brush and dip it in the margarine then wipe the plates top and bottom with it every 2 or 3 lots just to make sure they don’t get the chance to stick. I’m making a minimum of 12 pancakes for the boys as I said 5 days a week. The appliance cleans up with a quick wipe over with a damp cloth. Great appliance. Bit of advice. Don’t make your pancake batter too thin. It’s not a crepe maker. They won’t cook through and won’t even brown up.
Would NOT reccommend – Pancakes Do Not cook through, no matter how long they are left in there. They look great, but still under cooked and rubbery and gooey inside. I tried, 10 mins, 15 mins, along with different amounts of batter. Not happy. Show details
East quick perfect pancakes – I bought this from Woolies when I first introduced my little one to solids. To make the pancakes it was one egg, sprinkle cinnamon, one mashed banana, mix and then into the pancake maker until the light came on. Ready in two minutes and my little one absolutely still loves them every second day! You can also use it to make veggie fritters. Show details
Warning. Forget it – Did not produce pancakes, as in photos. Turned out like rubber. Very pale, very dense, not light & fluffy. Said to use no more than 1/4 cup of batter, that only produced piklet size. Did not make them a nice tan colour. Absolute waste of money. Ver disappointing kambrook. Show details
Love it!!! Makes perfect pancakes every time – Got this pancake maker as a gift last October, decided to write a review because it's one of the few appliances that I actually love. I was genuinely surprised at the bad reviews, but I guess it's true that most people only come here to say something if they've had a bad experience. I'm writing this because I really used to hate making pancakes,… Read more
standing over the stove, one at a time, getting the temperature just right, always messing up one or two at the beginning of a batch, timing the flip, not breaking them during the flip, never cooking evenly etc. Now I love it!!! Almost bored of eating pancakes I've had so many.
Never washed it, only wipe it down with paper towel and always give it a quick spray (top & bottom) with the spray olive oil between each pair of pancakes. Other than the heat up time (judged by the green light) we never leave it on for any length of time without cooking anything in it, and always use a plastic spatula.
I'm not sure if our experience differs from others because of the recipe, we make keto/low carb, sugar and gluten free pancakes.
The recipe we use: (makes 4 pancakes) 2 lg eggs 3/8ths of a cup of milk 1/8th cup oil 1 tsp Vanilla 125g Almond flour 1/8th cup natvia erythritol sweetener 1/4 - 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 1/8th tsp Salt
Whisk wet ingredients with a balloon whisk or electric beater for 30-60 seconds then add dry and whisk again. Cook for 3mins 30 sec, give the centre a little press if they seem firm on the outside but squishy/ a bit moist inside (maybe a bit like a water bed?) give them another 30 seconds. They usually cook perfectly in this time but it can vary by 10-30 sec if you use a bit more or less batter than usual.
Didn't last a year, don't buy it, the worse item ever – I've purchased this just less then a year ago, and now I have to throw it out... Making pancakes here and there with this machine and the last time I used it I decided to add some blueberries to the pancake mix and it's damaged the base and top of the pancake maker allowing the surface to peel away definately not safe to cook with anymore. Would not recommend this brand of pancake maker. Show details
So far so good! – I bought this for my son who is pancake obsessed. Makes very good pancakes for home made. Other people on here have complained about the pancakes being too thin. I find that if i add a generous amount of pancake mixture, they come out thick. To prevent sticking, i just melt butter on the plates first. The inside of the pancakes are cooked just… Read more
fine. No problems , and very easy to use. I think this product is worth owning and it will make your life soo much easier!
DOES not cook – I wish i had read these reviews first this does not cook on the inside and the pancakes are thin the outside of the maker is very hot as well with the original i could make thick fluffy pancakes why change the design "if its not broke--dont fix it" as the others have said-do not buy Show details
Doesn't Cook Properly – Kambrook Pancake Perfection doesn't cook pancakes on the inside. I cooked the pancakes for a good 10 mins and they still came out rubbery and gooey on the inside, Don't Buy!! Show details
I haven’t cooked pancakes on my stove since! – Seriously can’t believe how easy it is to use and I didn’t have any pans to wash! I hate waiting around for the pancakes to cook especially with kids they are so impatient! I made 2 pancakes in 2mins set my timer and walk away to do other things. Mines turned out really soft and moist. Almost like McDonald’s hotcakes but thicker and less oily. We… Read more
have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only thing I spend most of the time on are the fruits and caramelised coconut. Have a go at my recipe and see if it changes your mind.
Rubbish – Over cooks the outside and inside is chewy and dense, not worth owning. The texture is awful, I cooked the same mix in a fry pan and it puffed up and cooked properly. Show details
Not that great – Was pretty good to start with but declined within a few weeks. It does have a tendency to undercook in the middle but the biggest issue is that after a while everytime you cook the pancakes they stick to the top lid when opening no matter what you do. It didn't do this to start with. Show details

The pancakes are dense and undercooked on the inside no matter the mixture I have tried. Biggest waste of money – The pancakes look good on the outside but always undercooked on the inside. The only good thing about this product, is that it doesn't take up a lot of room in the cupboard. Show details
Nope. Design Fail – Nowhere near as good as the older 'flip' style. The basic recipe is far too stiff. 1/4 cup of mixture (as recommended in the instruction book) doesn't fill the pancake 'well'. Pancakes come out undercooked on the inside. Would not recommend at all. An absolute waste of money. So disappointed. Show details
Easy to use – I recently replaced my old Kambrook pancake maker which was one where you put 2 in and then close the lid and flip when they are half done to do other side, effectively being able to cook 4 at once. This new version is adequate but for some reason the pancakes come out a bit dense and chewy not light and fluffy. Possibly because the lid is closed during cooking process. Show details
Perfect - so easy to use and clean – Purchased from Good Guys online. Excellent product and excellent to use. So easily clean - just a wipe over and put away when cooled. I followed the recipe booklet and it was good and I even added a few thing not in the recipe and all ended well - anyone who says it is not good is probably not using it properly or they have ended up with one… Read more
which is a dud which they should take back to the supplier but I can tell you that it is just so good and easily used and cleaned and put away when done.
