Kanto OBI3
MPN: OBI31 review

Pretty disappointed with this. $279AUD (on sale) from The Iconic. The aluminium plate spins unevenly and shows evidence of being poorly machined with a pitted surface. No on/off button. You have to unplug it to turn the Bluetooth light off. The instructions are laughable. No text - just basic line drawings. The back of the turntable has the quality of a Teac Cassette player from the early 90's. Kanto (designed in Canada apparently) says they are looking to get into turntables, so this is their first go. I'd say don't bother if this is going to be your best effort at a first go.
Looks nice. Feels like cheap toy from China. My last turntable was a Technics 1210 Mark V with an Rotel RA-11 Amp - so maybe I'm being picky. It does connect ok with Bluetooth speakers despite there being no instructions (if you are familiar with trouble shooting bluetooth connections). It does play records adequately but the sound is definitely mediocre.
Despite them saying this is designed in Canada - it actually looks almost exactly like a $100 player from China... which I realised after buying this. I made this purchase based on Kanto's reputation in speakers. I wouldn't be buying their speakers based on their turntable reputation - that's for sure.
Purchased in at The Iconic for $279.
