Buyer Beware – Purchased a Karcher K2 for $199 just over 5 years ago. Used on average 3 times a year. It first started to cut in and out, next it lost pressure and finally it started leaking water from the bottom of the unit. Rang Karcher customer service number who advised it would cost $139 for an authorised repair to have a look at it. Decided to cut my losses and put the $139 towards the purchase of another more reputable brand with a higher review rating. Show details
Motor burnt out on the 2nd use – I used this twice! The 1st time was a quick test and it was fine, the 2nd time the motor burnt out after 15 minutes of use. Sadly I dont have the receipt :( will never buy another Karcher product again. I wish I'd looked up reviews on this 1st. Show details
Karcher brand.... [two thumbs up] – Best machine of its own league, definitely will stick and change my brand to Karcher, totally satisfied and the after sales services is excellent. To those who are in a negativity zone, all I can suggest and advise is every karcher machine has been made specifically for its purpose. Check out with the Karcher customer services first before you buy.... Show details
5 times used and broke seal – Bought from Bunnings, used 5 times over the year, now the water hose has separated from the body due to split attachment meaning I would have to purchase a replacement hose. Would not buy another as it was starting to have a burnt plastic smell when used for more than a few minutes as well. Show details
Burnt – Smoke came out and you can tell from the smell that it is dangerous. Mine is out of warranty. Felt like plastic and didn't last long. Will not buy Karcher again. Still have attachments which I will give away. Will research on Stihl and Gerni brands. Spitwater is too expensive. Show details
Two years & one - month sorry no warranty after two years – I bought a Karcher they are plastic rubbish. Used a half a dozen time in two years and motor goes on & constantly and loses pressuref which is apparently due to an internal water leak. One month out of warranty& they would not replace it. Only Stihl have brass parts where others have plastic. Also much better design. They are a bit heavy but I guess that's the cost of using metal instead of plastic. Show details
Happy Customer – Why all the negativity? I thought my high pressure cleaner has been great. I have had no issues to date, and its a great product. Comes with a range of accessories for different items to clean. Its very powerful compared to others i have purchased previously. Happy customer over here! Show details
Absolute piece of junk – Will never buy karcher ever again tried once failed tried twice failed will never know about 3rd time lucky, bought an unknown brand imported works fine. Used karcher only 6 times already imported brand has outdone the karcher and does not look like stopping. Looks like more imported crap coming my way ha ha. Show details
Once Bitten, Twice Shy! – My second Karcher just dies after 6 years. Living in a northern climate (Montreal,Quebec,Canada), I used the Karcher at the most 5 times per year. Our first Karcher died after 8 years, and the second one after 5. For such infrequent usage, any product should not malfunction and simply die after 25 uses or 6 years. The product has too much… Read more
plastic and is poorly designed. The unit tends to fall down as it is not balanced well. The unit leaks at the connection of the hose to the power base. My review is similar to my reviews of the Karcher on the Net. Also, there is only a 1 year warranty on the unit. Having used the unit only from May-September, the warranty is too short. There are 1-2 other high-pressure units that have 2 years of warranty.
Having my second unit simply die on me, I'd express myself by the old expression - "Once bitten, twice shy" or "Fool me once, shame on me, Fool me twice, shame on you".
I did try to get some compensation, but that failed - the warranty is only for 1 year!
I'll be looking at another brand for my third purchase.
Why stay with a product that has a history of failures!
karcher k2 360 – piece of trash don't buy it.only worked 1 time.customer service is rude and don't care.would give it no stars if I could please don't waste your money on there products.clearly they don't care about there customers.was told they could look up my warranty date from my serial number then they gave me another number to call.then the lady was real rude.
It's ok while it works, but it is flimsy – The first one I got broke within a month, the on-off switch stopped working. Luckily I bought it from bunnings and got a replacement. That one lasted about 2 years, now that one is broken again. Otherwise it wasn't bad but I'll definitely buy something sturdier & more powerful next.
Poor design broken promises – Used it when I got it, worked OK. Second time, the handle broke off in my hand, hmmm, bad luck. I looked at how the handle was designed and the right angle is a cheap plastic and easily fractured, poor design. Tried to use shampoo line and it is very smalll and poorly designed as you have to pull the small tube out of its housing and the cord is too short for a bucket. I won't recommend karcher, high price for cheap junk.
Karcher is OFF my replacement list – the 2.360 is fine while it works, the two wands offer a wide range of pressures and spray types. However after very light intermittent use, car washing, cleaning a few rugs and a verandah the unit developed a water leak from the pump housing, rather than the spiggots. The repair costs cant be justified when replacement costs are comparable and warranted. Karcher however is OFF my shopping list.

Garbage – Not even worth one star! Bought a Karcher K2.180 on the 27th Sept 2014 and today, the 15th Oct 2014 the motor is already dead, it won't turn on at all. Hardly been used, maybe four times at less than 10 minutes each. Total waste of money, thankfully I still have the receipt.
Garbage product don't buy one! – Shortly after buying new from Bunnings motor blew. Had it replaced. Shortly after the power switch broke. Had it 'repaired'. Used twice. Switch went again. Authorised repairer blaming me for everything !!! (Must have shares in Karcher.) The straw that broke the camels back, today handle came off (handle always falls off) causing machine to… Read more
fall on ground breaking the hose connector! Had a gut full! Threw it in the garbage where it belongs! Will never buy another Karcher product! Suggest Consumer Affairs should look into this product. Nothing Everthing. Returned it more than I used it.
Nothing but trouble. Performance not matched to reasonable expectations – I originally had a bottom model Karcher which served Ok being used once or twice a month but after two years the pump blew. I considered this and thought that as it was a cheapie, I would buy a better model and bought this one from Bunnings. I now regret this as I only used it twice before the pump blew. Bunnings would not deal with the problem… Read more
sending me at great inconvenience to an authorised repairer. A month later after messing around I got the unit back. Anyway I used it twice and tried to use it again on the weekened but this time it would not start. Obviously these Karchers are made for a price but I didn't get a fair value for money. Karcher needs to look at its product very seriously because their previous good repuation is diminishing. I will be asking for my money back and Bunnings will honour their obligations under common law. I will be buying and buying another brand. You know the one with the metal pump.
Did not work. Inconveniece of break downs.
Shoddy and dodgy! – Karcher are a reputable brand right? Well this piece of junk proved otherwise! Mine was used all but 3 times on a patio area 4x4 mtrs...... It did the job wonderfully, I even used it to clean the windows and then it wailed and screamed like someone was stabbing it and let out a puff of smoke, it's dead and buried in the garbage now...... Pretty… Read more
disappointed at the easy life this had and the fact it couldn't perform well! It's also pretty dangerous that it smokes up (could it burst into flames whilst attached to an electrical socket and have a hose connected?) don't think I'll be wasting the time or money getting another one..... Worked wonderfully when it did work, good amount of useful attachments and the soap compartment actually is quite useful It stopped and died a horrible death only after a very short and easy life!
Karcha k2.180 – Bought Karcha k2.180 from Bunnings. Screamed and died after 8 months, pretty light work around house. Bunnings were great & organised replacement under warranty. Second one last about the same time. Screamed and died while cleaning mower. I won't try a third time, I will now move on to a new brand I think! Died after a short time and easy life. Smokes up and dies.
smokin' – Had been as great little asset until it smoked up in the middle of washing the car. Not impressed as hardly given a tough life in our little house. Washed the car a few times and hosed down some outdoor tiles. Had a Gerni before this which worked hard all of it's life and never missed a beat. Lost it with previous wife......guess which I miss the most? Lightweight It died a premature death
Dirt bike cleaner – I purchased one for washing two dirt bikes and a pw50. Figured the amount of money I pay at a car was was worth the investment. Well I have saved that money and if it breaks down or I have to throw it out, so be it. Why waste money at a car wash. Get one and if it dies, it would of paid for its self. Cheap and powerful for what I need. Like the built in soap tank Doesnt feel like the old Karchers
Was good while it was going – Great little cleaner but let out a scream & a cloud of smoke and is now dead. Would estimate less than 5 hrs work in total since purchase. Am hoping to get it replaced under warranty. Seemed quite powerful for a small unit It died early
Would never purchase a Karcher again – Purchased a Karcher K2.360 had for over 12 months ( so warranty gone ) used for approximately 6 - 7 hours for tasks no larger than 30 minutes, Had another small job to do in out winter this year 2012 in Brisbane ( so no frozen water ) about 3 minutes into job smoke and motor died. Tried to find replacement motor on net which turned out to be a… Read more
