Never again!

I have the K2, used it a handful of times and the pump just broke. Outside the warranty period too. This is pathetic!!!

Had to throw it out. Show details

Disappointed beyond belief

First time buying a pressure cleaner. I bought this one on brand name alone thinking it must be good. I wish so much I had read reviews first as I would never have bought it!! Have had it 8 months, used 4 times now I have no water pressure. All YouTube vids tell me I need to pull entire machine apart to “try” fix it. I shouldn’t have to !! (Yes I’ve pulled out & cleaned the little filter)
I’m tired and frustrated just by troubleshooting what may be wrong. Do better karcher. Never again.

Hardly used it in the couple of years we have had it and it’s already lost it’s high pressure

Not enough pressure, over rated, Germi was a better basic cleaner Show details

A waste of time and money

I bought the karcher 2 to clean pavers in the patio. Each paver took 10 minutes and wasn't all that clean. I gave up. Someone took pity and loaned me their powerful Stihl. Did the job in no time. Maybe 1/2 minute a paver. Okay big difference in price but I totally wasted my money buying the karcher 2 Show details

K2 karcher.. They don't make them like they used to

I've owned karchers all my adult life and still have one that I purchased over 20 years ago. This new one was to be for washing my boat.. So I bought the K2 and it blew up after about 3 hours of use. The internal planetary gear set is made of plastic and they simply shattered.. Absolute junk.. Show details

A replacement of my old Karchar K2

I bought the Karcher K2 Plus from Bunnings yesterday due to my old K2 (over ten years old) was broken. I found Bunnings drops the price to $129.99 for this K2 Plus. I don't want to spend too much money for highest model.

After work, I try the K2 Plus with all the nozzles including my two old nozzles from K2 which are also fitted as well. After the testing of 4 different nozzles, the new two nozzles come with the box is the best. It is more powerful than the old nozzles. This is excellent for cleaning car, deck and driveway. This machine is also come with 5 years manufacture warranty.

It is a basic model but it does the jobs well! Show details ·  1

Waste of money

I borrowed one from a friend to clean a concrete path, of about 2m X 13m. After a few neater I turned it off to get something and I didn’t turn on again. Then I didn’t get my lesson and I bought one. I used it a few times over about 4 years. The last time I used it, at some point (about an hour or so) it started l noticed some noise and leakage and that’s it, it randomly goes on and off. I had only used this machine once a year so in total 4 times. I am going to buy a different brand

great value

cost $120.00 at bunnings, cleaned about $1000 worth of stuff!! honestly its so cheap to purchase i could throw it away now and be happy, never turn this unit on without having water connected and turned on, running this unit dry will kill it in about 30 secondfs, instructions clearly state that and im thinking a lot of people made this mistake and thats why it blew up, instructions say light clenaing, cars bikes but ive done pavers concrete driveway and it worked a treat, amazed by its power and cheap purchase price, but beware, follow instructions!!

peace out Show details ·  1

Dangerous

Poor design- 1 oring fails on a very poorly designed fitting & it sprays high pressure water into the electric motor. Shouldn't be sold. Avoid these if you value your life! Show details

poor manufacturing

Not satisfied with this product, a K2.180. ok, it's not new but it's also not old. Plastic pump body has failed and leaks water. This is the 2nd Karcher pressure washer which has failed for me. Previously a K3.150 failed in a similar way. Have written to Karcher Australia (again) but not holding my breath for a helpful response. It appears these things are made to a price and not a quality standard. Won't be buying Karcher again, and could not recommend Karcher to anyone looking for a quality product

Don't buy this machine

Bought Karcher K2 early in 2020. Used it a couple of times, but then mid way through a job, motor went to full revs but no pressure. When I took it apart, there is an epicyclic gearbox between the motor and pump, which had broken. Karcher has gone cheap with plastic gears instead of metal, and there are only 2 gears. Show details

Buy the version with a double more powerful wand

I have had 3 Karchers over the last 30 years and one Gerni. The latter brand I would not buy again. I recently bought a K2 with a single nozzle having previously had the same model and another model with two wands. The single wand is fine for lightly soiled areas but very ordinary on concrete or pavers. I bought on price which was my mistake. If you only buy the K2, pay the extra and buy it with the two wands, which I believe has a rotating nozzle. It's worth the extra amount as it costs more to buy the more powerful wand on it's own after the initial purchase. Or, buy a dearer model. I am off to buy that second wand now. Show details

Questions & Answers

Hi, my K2 has a fault. Plug in the water hose and prime unit, switch power on and normally it builds up pressure then the motor stops until trigger is operated to start cleaning. Now as soon as you switch the power on at the machine it starts but does not stop. Water then comes out from inside the machine covers and the lance has hardly any pressure.
Stripped it down and I can’t see any cracks in the inlet or outlet pipe work. Could it be the pump seals in the head unit or the actual head.
Presume motor will keep going now as it try’s to build up sufficient pressure to cut out ready for trigger to operate and start up etc but not enough pressure to cut motor out??
Any information/ideas gratefully received……. Cheers
