Kathmandu Retreat 30

Good little tent for cool climates – I love this little tent although being a Queenslander it's not that great for our summers or humid weather as there is no cross ventilation. The only air flow is from the front, unless you don't put the fly on. As a result, I only use this tent in winter which is a shame. One day it would be great if a quality manufacturer like Kathmandu could design a decent tent for hot and humid conditions- no everyone goes hiking in the snow!
What a let down – The small pole that holds tent from fly swings in ward . No peg look at the back of the rent on fly. My pole broke in moderate wind. The next thing to do is to see if company will be honourable. Not a good tent. Design flaws galore.
MOTORCYCLE TENT – I have used this tent extensively on my motorcycle travels in some very remote places. Roomy and easy to erect and fold up. The zippers have never failed and the material seems to last well. No leaks. I also carry the Exped Mega Mat so it is the perfect combo. Show 2 replies
