Had a great experience with Kennards in Bathurst. Had an intermittent machine issue and they sorted it after hours at no down time to myself. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality rental equipment. Petrol powered 40kg Plate compactor starts first go & easy to operate. Staff assisted with loading heavy equipment into & out of vehicle. Equipment clean & well maintained.

Hired a medium enclosed trailer from the Moorhouse Ave branch. Trailer was all good, was clean and in good condition. Staff showed me how everything worked and helped me hitch it onto my car. Returned it after hours by using the gate code which was text to me. Overall the service was great and I would use again. Show reply

Needed to hire a concrete finishing trowel (helicopter) for a pour starting at 7am Monday morning. 6:30 am.. the pump is there at 6:00 am for setup. The boys rock up at 6:00am and the first trucks at 7:00am Any way.. I was told I’d need to pay two days hire for a machine that would sit in the back of my truck on Sunday before I could use it on Monday! As a builder in cairns…, I hire a lot from the cairns kennards.. guess what no more! Throw away my card details… ya won’t be seeing me again.. Coates hire just around the corner.. I have the machine.. it’s Friday arv! And I’m only paying for mondays hire.

Trying to use the site is a waste of time and effort. I live in Wellington but want to hire and use at Paraparaumu. The site kept defaulting to Taupo. , After a while I simply gave up and went elsewhere.

Website booking didnt work (no record) Credit Card machine didnt work Went to 2 stores and got the run around If you have your own trailer check they have ramps available - it differs between stores - not consistent Left without the equipment and was astounded by the poor customer service and the threat to be "put on stop" because I voiced my opinion on the poor service.

Kennards left me stranded and couldn’t care less – I booked a Ute, in person, several days prior to requiring the vehicle. At no time, during the negotiating of the hire did the staff member mention the requirement to have a credit card available for the day of pick up and that a debit card would not be acceptable. because I was not fore-warned of the need to provide a credit card. It was like I was set up and tricked to the amusement of all their staff - hahah we got another one, look at this poor so-and-so… no Ute, work plans stuffed and now he can walk home, how funny are we!

I spent a day preparing the job which required the ute and I was left stranded by Kennards with no way to complete the job and no way home after being dropped off. The staff stood around, amused and entertained without a care about my predicament, my serious inconvenience or losses. The offer of a phone call was completely useless as nobody commits mobile phone numbers to memory.

The complete lack of care, competence or consideration to customers is a disgrace. I did nothing to deserve being treated in such a way that left me stranded and stuck because Kennards could not advise me of the full requirements for hire prior to pick up and couldn’t care less that I suffered because of their incompetence. There was no care or attempt made to resolve the problem and help me out due to their error. According to the terms and conditions, I could have left my bank account details as an option. Instead, the staff let me walk all the way home in the rain to the Hawthorn side of Norman Park, having no phone. I am a retired pensioner with advanced arthritis in my left knee and it rained.

The service was appalling. Complete lack of care or consideration. Kennards had absolutely no consideration or interest in the hardship they had provided to a loyal, local customer. It was like, “your problem mate, suck eggs, know off you go!” Kennards East Brisbane do not higher vehicles to anyone who doesn’t have a credit card which excludes services to pensioners like myself and low income earners or anyone who chooses not to accrue debt by owning a credit card.

Kennards Hire has always been reliable and easy to deal with. As a construction business owner, I appreciate their well-maintained equipment, knowledgeable staff and straightforward booking process. The team is helpful when plans change at short notice and always works to find a practical solution. Their dependable service saves us time and keeps our projects moving. Show reply
