Waste of Money.. Disgrace to Food Processors – Purchased in June 2015. Did not work properly even for 6 months I had to take it for repair. Now with in 1 and half years I have repaired it thrice. Now it broke again and decided to throw it out. My previous food processors worked for more than 5 years. The worst part is the the store from which we bought it (Lulu) does not take the… Read more
responsibility of sending it to Kenwood service center to repair it. We had to take it ourselves and the service center is in the middle of desert where there is no bus route and impossible to get a Taxi. If you don't have a car don't bother taking to the service center. IT'S NOT WORTH IT.
Pretty useless machine – Pretty useless machine. The parts are easily broken and the juicer and blender attachments are rubbish. Luckily I didn't throw my old juicer or blender away, so I still use them and thew the Kenwood parts away instead ! For the food processor the cutting blade and dough blade just push the food against the bowl. The slicer blades work well,… Read more
which is now all I use the machine for. Oh and the replacement parts are super expensive - $55 for a new cutting blade - give me a break !
Terrible product - Kenwood I am Appalled – This product's centrifugal juicer's - oh so damned puny plastic inner spacer - their component no. 25 C -snapped after after spinning about three cartoons of granny smith apples, a cartoon of pears, and some carrots, rendering the juicer a fail fairly soon after purchase. Thereafter the geared citrus press burn't out the motor. This gearing… Read more
/ motor is completely mis-calibrated rendering this a latent defect at purchase. and this over a period of a few years, but well after the implied warrantly from Target Stores, Woolloongabba, QLD Australia.
The replacement of these two parts in Australia is more than the cost of the processor at outset.
Ex- UK, it's a bit more reasonable, but I'm repaying a substantial portion for a dud product., and they won't simply suply the junk plastic spacer tio the juicer, but the whole juicer sub-component.
Not happy Larry!
The product is in mint/as new condition. Had the product not failed, it was a useful tool, and would deserve a good review.
Don't buy Kenwood PLASTIC parts. They're rubbish.
My Mom & Dad's mixer/mincer was bought over fifty years ago, and still works‼
Rather angry – Bought this today to make falafel for dinner. Can't even blend soaked half beans with quartered onion, have to keep stopping it and pushing onion on to blades then re-start. Bits of onion flicked up onto sides and the blades spin below food and don't incorporate it…. no falafels and I guess no money back. $200 wasted. I can see this piece of rubbish won't even make basic dip.
Massive Disappointment - Reputational impact on Kenwood – I bought this to replace a Braun multiprocessor I gave to my son. I wish I'd kept the Braun! On the surface it looked great - all the tools in one package but I soon discovered that the main uses I intended for it didn't work so well. Blender: only certain types of produce blended properly, definitely no nuts or leafy veg or carrots or..... most… Read more
superfood items. Juicer worked but only 250ml output before the classic burning smell. Remember this was a one person household so not exactly working the device hard. After a 1.5 years the burning smell was constant until the smoking and sparking caused me to abandon use altogether. Since then I have investigated repair but was completely outraged to discover that the replacement motor ALONE was almost $140!!!! (note that I could get the same genuine part shipped here from the UK for $77 all in!!
What6 is experience has taught me is a) never buy KENWOOD again, and b) do a lot more research on sites such as this first. Lots of options Non of them worked. Totally badly engineered, not fit for purpose.
horrible quality - parts keep breaking / burning - used less than 20 times! – always gives out a burning smell from the motor. Ive had it for about 12 months - use it less than once a month, already Ive needed 3 replacement parts - parts very prone to breaking. Customer service is good - they replace parts within 12 months, but machine wont last much longer. Apparently burning smell is standard feature! DONT BUY IT!! I… Read more
was so happy when I found this food processor - so many attachments - it should do everything - but of course, its too good to be true.
When I use either of the glass blenders, the blades dont work properly & I have to continuously keep shaking the machine while its going so it gets all the bits - yes, need strong arms - shaking a machine while its going needs strength - a good workout too, but potentially dangerous.
For the glass blenders, there is a rubber ring which seals the blades to the glass container - this often gets stuck in the upside-down small blender - design fault. lots of attachments parts keep breaking, smells of burning, need replacement parts all the time
Would not even juice a carrot! – It had to be too good to be true! One appliance that does everything! I bought this product as my old juicer had died and I also needed a blender. It would not even juice a carrot or apple! I also tired the blender and there was no way in hell it would blend ice at all. I took it back! Did not juice carrots or apples or blend ice
Very Handy Machine – I bought a food processor to help me with cooking because of difficulties using my hands and severe weakness, and I have to say, this machine has made my life a lot easier. That said, my one complaint is that it is rather difficult for me to switch between different attachments, but it is a lot safer and easier than having to do the jobs manually… Read more
and I'm sure a person of normal strength would manage quite well. It is also somewhat noisy but that is to be expected since it is quite powerful. I have used all the attachments and the only problems I have encountered is that the spice grinder is only good for very liquid or very dry mixtures, any consistency in between causes the mixture to just get stuck where the blades can't reach it. The centrifugal juicer is wonderfully effective and easy to clean, the citrus juicer is great for juicing large quantities of fruit, the rasper plate is fantastic for parmesan (but not wetter cheeses!), the other plates are also great and although I initially thought having only two thickness would be limiting, I haven't found any need for other measurements.
I use the whisk all the time for baking and have used the dough tool also which is good as well. The blender is great since it means you don't have to buy a separate machine. Kenwood could improve the FP270 by providing a storage device for the accessories, having an extra smaller processor for smaller jobs, and including a 'maxi-blend canopy' to stop flour and liquids spilling out the gap at the top where the lid connects. Doesn't take up much room, loads of attachments, operates effectively, easy to clean, good safety features no maxi-blend canopy, nowhere to store attachments
Would you like one lump or two :( – Purchased this processor the day my very old trusty breville finally died, did not have a lot of choice from our local store so went for this model as the salesman said kenwood are a reliable brand .. This machine has been such a disappointment , the blender is useless does not blend and certainly not powerful enough for ice but if the processor… Read more
had of worked I really wouldn't have cared about the blender . Sadly the processor does not do even a half decent job ,if I try and process lentils and cooked veggies for example there will be these massive lumps that just will not process in the end I take them out and chop by hand . Even trying to process Philly cheese is too hard for this weakling. I tried to use the whisk attachments for the first time the other day and the whole thing seized up on me I think I may have killed it. I am done with it I Persevered for over a year with it but I give in ..I am now tossing up between a magimix and a cuisinart .. It will slice potatoes etc fairly well with the slicing attachments and it looks good Leaves lumps
Rubbish !!!! Utter junk – What a piece of junk - I will never buy anything kenwood again - nothing works properly , it's smelt like an electrical singe everytime I used it - now after not many months of use . It's burst into smoke . And as it was a gift I have no receipt . So kenwood will not honnor the warranty . I will never buy a kenwood anything as a gift . The size

Only one attachment works properly – Looks good, nice and compact but most of the attachments are substandard. I didn't get to the whisks but they are so small and light I could bend them with a finger tip. I would have been better off paying the same amount for less - I think this product is trying to do too much and cutting corners on quality. Looks good, compact, attractive… Read more
design. Food processor and citrus juicer work well. The blender is weak, doesn't crush ice and leaves lumps. Worse, it started to leak through the attachments at the bottom after a week, rendering it unusable. The small chopper has a seal that spins off and wraps around the blades. The juicer wobbles alarmingly and the motor seems underpowered for it. The motor smokes and smells.
I wish I had read this before I Purchased it .
It's not all bad at all – Extremely convenient all in one - we can use all the functions when we don't have the room for separate appliances. Died out of warranty (15 months), Kenwood replaced with new one because no motor available. They were very good. But yet, motor blew. Definitely get the extended warranty, and you will be happy with it. It is pretty cool. We… Read more
are mostly happy. Convenient, versatile, doesn't take too much space Motor blew (smelling bad is a warning!)
Engine parts have melted! – This machine has always emitted an acrid, electrical/plastic burning smell when we use it. Recently it started blowing smoke from the engine unit as well. It's only 9 months old. Kenwood warranties are inconvenient as you have to take your appliance to a testing agent, leave it there a week or so for testing, and then, if they deem it unfixable,… Read more
wait another week for Kenwood to send the agent a replacement. Fine if your agent is local but we have to travel 45 minutes to get to our nearest. I agree with the other reviewers that the blender won't crush ice and leaves smoothies lumpy, even those with soft fruit. It seems like a great idea, a multi use blender/processor, but in reality, it doesn't do any of the required functions well. the concept is good... bad warranty service, poor cutting, blending, processing.

This product kicks Butt! – A few earlier reviews I read stated that the blades weren't sharp, I completely disagree, for a 200-250 dollar product it is amazing, I used the miller(the magic bullet thing) to grind coffee, and I made the best curry using the spices I ground in the miller, sooo much better than pre-ground spices, it just turned rock hard seeds into powder, way… Read more
better than any mortar and pestle, the blender is good, not the best I've ever used but it does crush ice which alot blenders struggle with, and definitely crushes soft fruit. and no lumps(pet peeve), the food processor is amazing! I'm never buying minced meat again, i mean who knows whats in that stuff. I just throw diced beef or pork or chicken in there and boom, i have mince and I know what's in there. The juicer is what surprised me the most. I really had my heart set on an oscar which retail at about $500, so when i unwrapped the kenwood i was a little sceptical, but no, the kenwood nails that too, very little waste, and if anyone has actually used a juicer before, then you know how much waste there is. if you make a veggie juice, freeze the "waste" and put it in a soup, fruit juice? make some fruity muffins or just give it to the dogs, because at the end of the day without a juicer, your family wouldn't be consuming anywhere near the same amount of goodness from fruits and veg, so who cares about a little waste. i haven't yet used the plastic blade, which makes dough and pastry and such things nor have i used the grater and slicer features, but as soon as i do, i'll give you an update. Have fun!!! Very easy to clean, very good value for money! It actually works Storage is a little difficult, needs its own cupboard. that's the only annoying thing i can think of.
Just perfect – I bought this little machine to fit into a small kitchen and to replace three aging appliances: a blender, processor and juicer. I was expecting to have to compromise, as I've always mistrusted multi-function devices, but it was inexpensive and, with all its attachments, takes up 1/3 of the space of the other appliances. I keep the base unit in my… Read more · 1
appliance cupboard and the attachments in a deep drawer beneath it, so everything is handy. I've tried all the functions except for the dough maker. So far, they have all surpassed my expectations. I'm vegan, and I blend a lot of foods everyday. Not only are the attachments quick and easy to put together, but they are super easy to clean. With my old appliances, I used to plan ahead to make the most out of getting them dirty. Now I just use it whenever I want. Even the juicer is trouble free. The only thing that needs care, is to make sure the instructions are read carefully. There are a few things you need to know to make things work smoothly, like using the spatula halfway through blending to scrape lumps from the sides, and not putting too much in the nut mill. Other than that, there's nothing to it. Even my teenage kids have started using it, making healthy snacks because it's more fun than a bag of chips, and the clean up isn't too hard at the end of it. Inexpensive, versatile
Does everything others say it doesn't do – Despite what the other reviews say, I make a blended fruit smoothie with this machine all the time with frozen fruit, it has the same consistency that you get from a juice bar. Smashes up ice, nuts or any hard food. I've had it for over 3 years and never been disappointed. We would use it 3-4 times a week for cooking and it's never showed signs of… Read more · 1
slowing down. Great tough little machine. Great value for money No storage for processor blades etc...
Time-saver! – After deliberating for months which food processor to get, we finally got this product as it came with the blender function, which I was looking to get. I really like the functions, like the chopper, slicer and grater (coarse and fine), juicer (centrifugal and citrus) and blender. It's also surprising easier to clean that what I initially… Read more
expected.
I don't know if it's the same for all other processors, but it has a safety function which ensures that the bowl is locked in place before the power switches on.
The attachments and all the other function bits are a bit cumbersome as I need to keep all in a box, but overall, it beats having a separate juicer, separate blender, separate citrus juicer, etc etc etc....
can't live without it now! easy to clean, great to use, safety function no attachment storage, cord storage tricky to use
Doesn't even blend soft fruit....waste of time and money! – I've never owned a food processor before and I was really excited about this one....until I used it that is. The juicer seems to work ok but it does take ages compared to juicers I've used in the past. I tried making a fruit smoothie in the blender using soft fruit (mango & papaya) and it simply wouldn't blend, all the pulp got stuck under the… Read more
tiny blades my fruit was not getting blended at all.
Massive disappointment for the price...Kenwood has really let us down with this one.
Doesn't do what it's supposed to!
did you cube the fruit or put it as a while? Have you found a solution to your problem?
Blades not sharp – Design concept is great. However, when I process I expect to be able to make a smoothie with frozen berries- no- blades not sharp enough to cut all berries up. I wanted to process date, coconut and almond balls. The machine jumped about when I added the dates, rather than slicing through them deftly. The almonds were not processed and I had… Read more
to transfer the mix over to my 20 year old sunbeam to achieve the results I needed.
All the cutting blades are not sharp enough to adequately process food. Design concept incorporating blender and mill blunt blades
I agree !!! It's a waste of money - it opperates like a toy blender .
