Is the 800w tri-blade kenwood blender compatible with the extras I got when I bought my hb720 700w tri-blade hand blender ?

I cannot remove the lid from the bowl. Is there a special trick. I've asked others for assistance and they too are stumped. I looked at videos and lid seems to be removed with a twist. Mine is not budging and its new.

Sorry Sue from memory it twisted off. I binned my kenwood and bought a Sunbeam instead. I have some of the kenwood containers but their lids just pop off. Sorry I couldn't be more help...

Thanks. A friend came over and showed the wrist action involved in twisting it off anti clockwise. Hopefully the rest of the machine will continue to work.

I am so dissappointed in this appliance. It is as if new, well cared for, and just simply stopped working. It feels as if the switch under the rubber casing has failed. Before I add it to another landfill, is there any way I can take the casing off and check the switch?

The white cover for the food processor (where the top of the spindle locates), the bit that connects the motor to the food processor and blade, has water in it despite never being placed in dishwasher or submerged for cleaning. This is the second time this has happened. The first time it was replaced under warranty. What is the part number for this? Is it the same part as that for the HB724?

My blender is a couple of years old, but now my tools continually disconnect from the motor/handle. This sometimes happens during use. All components look ok and unit is clean. Any ideas?

Based on my very limited experience with the Kenwood Triblade....due to it failing just outside of warranty after hardly any use, I believe that it may be a contender for worst electrical item I’ve ever owned. Glad you’ve had more luck with yours, but not at all surprised it’s falling apart. If you’re anywhere near the ACT I’ll gladly gift you all the attachments from mine.

Two of the attachments won't fit on the handle. The rest click on fine, but the masher and the whisk won't click on. One side will attach but the other side will be hanging off, and it won't work. Any advice?

Probably too late for you but for anyone who might happen here looking for the fix, as I did, it's most likely a rubber seal that is stuck in the drive unit. Look at the top of each accessory, on the end of the shaft that pushes unto the drive unit there is a small black rubber collet/ring. Sometimes it gets stuck in the drive unit and then prevents any other accessory being fully pushed home. Check all your accessories and see if one is missing the black rubber ring. You might get lucky by putting the accessory without the ring back on the drive and hoping it will pull out when removed, otherwise you'll need something small to pry it out with.

Hey Stephen T - thanks so much for bothering to post this message, this has happened to mine and I was stumped for how to fix it. Haven't fixed it yet but can see this is exactly the problem! Cheers - I will pay it forward at my next opportunity.

Thank you Stephen, Just had the same issue with my blender - saw the rubber washer stuck in the main unit - got it out and popped it back on the soup blender and voila! All is well with the world again. Thank goodness for google and people like you :)

When I use my chopper the blade goes around but stops when there is food in it. Can this be repaired or do I need to buy a new bowl lid. This is a triblade HB720

Sylvan Bonett

The food may be too dense for the Triblade to chop and mix. Have found this product isn't too suitable for wet ingredients.

Can i buy the hand stick on its own as i lost mine in a move

wizzkid

Sorry, can't help. I wasn't able to get just a hand stick by itself after mine sized to work the first time. Had to buy a set with items I didn't need. The second time the stick seized to work just outside the warranty I threw everything out and bought a Braun stick. This was quite a while ago and I couldn't be happier.

I have also been looking for the hand stick on it's own, as after 6 years of use the rubber over the start button has worn and sometimes the button does not work. Unfortunately I have not been able to find one, which is a shame as I really like using it. I find it infuriating that I have all the attachments and now they will become landfill. Kenwood need to being a little more enviromentally friendly.

We have a Kenwood KMix-triblade TYPE HDX75 Has anybody tried to drill a couple of hole in the top of the chopper cover to get the trapped liquid out?

Ashley L.
Ashley L.

I searched the internet to look for answers to Kenwood blender problems, could not find the answer. I sent a question to Kenwood they said my blender is older than a year I can buy a new lid. I asked if I could get a drawing of the lid to see if I could drill a drain hole, no was the answer, no drawings. Got fed up and drilled 2 tiny 3mm holes. Got most of the dirty water out. I will see if I can upload the pictures Regards

I have a Kenwood stick blender which I use to blend soup etc however I have noticed that the soup liquid is seeping into the area between the silicon and the stainless steel and although washed carefully in the sink the food still leaks out of the stick when it is stored. Today I had to wash out the draw as mould was growing on leaked food juices. Is this I design fault or just a one off. I am reluctant to use it now for fear of food contamination/poisoning. Please help

Hina

It's weird, never happened with me. Do you separate the attachment, wash and drain properly?

Kenwood
Kenwood   DM

Hi Brishe, Thanks for reaching out and we are sorry to hear about the issues you've been having with your Triblade. This shouldn't be happening and not what we expect from this product. However, we would like to assist you in fixing this problem. If you could please private message us, we'd love to help you with next best steps so you can have your machine back in good working order.

Regards,

Kenwood

Maybe just another design fault. With the Kenwood stick blender we needed a purpose designed stick so that the soup didn't go all over the walls and everywhere else. With the Braun the design is such that there is virtually no splatter. Also, the Braun one is made out of metal (alu?) and not plastic. Our plastic soup blender got discouled after a few uses.

Omg I was just about to buy the triblade xl plus 1000w & ended up in here thankfully ' now after reading all.of this I have totally changed my mind, sounds like junk for a lot of money when I can obviously buy a better & much cheaper brand, disappointing as Kenwood used to be a good brand' how can they get this so wrong, so many bad reviews not just a couple so it's obviously poorly designed & made, what a shame, though I was disappointed that the triblade xl.plus 1000w beaker-jug didn't come with a extremely useful handy lid, which was a minus for me anyway.
