The positive to the product is its built in scales. This food processor was not created by someone that works in a kitchen. The centre support is extremely annoying to line up and have fall on the floor every time you remove the mixer. The base isn't stable enough. It walks while mixing. Not impressed for the price. Show details

Follow-up  · The scales are fine. It's a little on the loud side to run but more the instability that's concerning, it wobbles alot on high speed. Cleaning isn't much different to having to clean any processor but the centre pin still frustrates me more than ever as when you pick up the container it regularly falls to the floor and trying to reline it up to put it back together is annoying.

The slicing and grating discs are honestly very disappointing and detract from the overall functionality of the machine. Large amounts of food are unprocessed by the slicing and grating discs so then you have to pick through the grated and sliced stuff for chunks. By the time you’ve done that you could have just grated by hand, which is what we now do. Disappointed and do not recommend purchasing. Show details

Kenwood multipro can’t chop raw nuts – I have been happy with the food processor until today. I was attempting to chop raw almonds and it just couldn’t manage the task. Ended up putting the almonds in the nutri ninja which completed the task in seconds. On the plus side the blender which I used for the first time today worked well to blend cashews and raspberries to a creamy paste Show details

Avoid buying the Kenwood Food Processor – Bought from Bing Lee in Sep 2021, have been using it for about 9 months and really am dissapointed by a lot of different aspects of the Kenwood food processor. The reason we chose Kenwood was on my personal recommendation on having used Kenwood systems (including a hi-fi) long ago and the respect I had for the brand. However this product does not… Read more

even come close to that reputation. In fact it gives the brand quite a bad name. If you've used other reputed brands of food processors, like we have, the dissapointment is even more.

The build quality isn't great. While it is not cheap thin plastic it does feel that way. One of the biggest gripes is the insane 8 part structure, almost as if someone's hobby project to keep adding parts to an existing product. Initially I felt you needed to get a degree to figure out how to fit it together... got better over time, but new time users will struggle.

Second gripe is that there is no mechanism for say grated carrots to fall into a bowl. The guide is ill thought out, and there is no moving mechanism to push the processed food out.

The blades could be bigger, and do feel weak, specially if you've used more stable ones in the past. Also, you need to assemble the bottom to use the top, which is about using oly 20% of the physical size of the assembly.

We have been using it for 9 months, so it does seem to have a good motor and strong interconnection material, but unfortunately it has not been performing to expectations and does not compare well with our previous machine, which was powerfull and really easy to use.

So, basically a lot more thought could have been put into the design to make it more user friendly.

So bad it’s not even awful – Having the motor seize up in light duties ON CHRISTMAS DAY is not a good look. Don’t get me started on the blender seal (hint: make sure you tighten the base properly. The blender base is NOT dishwasher safe due to an aluminium component). Hoping fhe warranty kicks in. The design is appalling. The build quality is laughable. When it works it’s… Read more

Slicing / dicing discs are too small - design fault – Slicing / dicing discs are too small, alot of what you are processing is just missed and goes into the bowl. Unsure how to make it work properly, but seems to be a consistent finding. Blender is fine though. Show details

Do not waste your money and time ! – Looks good from the outside, but then I noticed how light the base is. As soon as I put all parts together and start blending for the first time, the base shook very hard and yup, like other previous comments, the item leaks out. I know you meant to put the disc to stop it from leaking, but then the food get stuck to the disc instead of being… Read more

blended/chopped. This has to be the worst food processor I have ever come across ! The blades seem sharp, but somehow to still fail to chop ingredients. I notice that the position of the blades is the problem as there is way too much gap between the bottom of the bowl and the lowest blade.

You have to physically hold the base of the machine whilst the machine is running so it doesn't fall out of your bench. Really puts a bad Kenwood brand perception as I won't be going anywhere near this brand from now on.

Spare your money buy something else – I bought this food processor for the power of its motor. The motor us powerful. And this is great. However the way the bowl mounts on the motor support is the most stupid thing I have ever seen in a good processor. unpractical and will mess up your kitchen when you want to remove the bowl and transfer the liquid or the dough you just processed. Buy something else this is my advice

Poor quality – Bought this food processor as I have had other Kenwood products and they were always known for their reliability. Just over two years of minimal use and bits of plastic have broken off, inside and outside the appliance. You can literally hear it rattling when you shake it. No longer turns on anymore either. Not a good performer – I am a keen cook, so I thought upgrading from an ancient food processor, to one with multi tools would be awesome. But I'm disappointed. If trying to process food to make a paste, it takes a long time and I spend a lot of time opening the lid, pushing food down back into the bowl and onto the knife blade to try to get it to chop. Unless I am doing… Read more

a big amount, the large bowl just flies the food to the sides of the bowl and doesn't touch it or draw it back in. The blender doesn't draw it down into the blades and food just sits, so making a green curry paste has to be done using the grinding mill (very messy and tedious). The citrus juicer attachment is very large, so if oranges or other smaller fruit used, it splits the skin, plus it flies the juice everywhere because it is simply too fast even on the slow setting. The grinding mill is great though. And the discs are okay but my old machine of 25 years did it better and with half the effort. And the large bowl formed a crack within weeks of purchase. It was replaced under warranty. Kenwood did honour that. A concern is the heat generated on the spindle where it connects into the lid. This is metal and the friction gets it very hot in seconds. I felt it burn my hand when I placed my hand on the lid. That's not really safe if it is conducting heat like that. The spindle design is a menace. So many times I have knocked it flying as I lifted the bowl off the base. It just does not work how I expected it to.

Kenwood FDP64 Not up to scratch – My wife recently had to replace her worn out food processor and chose what she thought would be a good reliable brand. The Kenwood FDP64. To a large degree it does just that but there… Read more

is a large amount of vegetables that drop over the side of the cutting / grinding disk sliced only. They are nowhere the correct constancy to mix in with the bulk of the vegetables that have been processed. Eventually she has to hand chop the sliced vegetables to a smaller size to be acceptable. The old wel worn phrase comes t mind. "It's not as good as the old one." So how would she rate the processor ? Far from acceptable

Powerful and does the work – Everything except for the bit that is called the 'detachable drive shaft' that sits inside the bowl and sort of connects to the motor on the base is good about this machine. I do not quite understand why it has to be detachable! It makes life harder! It definitely isn't as sleek as it is advertised as! quite the opposite, in fact! In spite of these two inconvenience, it does a really good job and worth what I paid!  Show details ·  1

Good product. Need improvement – We purchased this product last year, and my wife has been using it since then quite regularly. Strong motor and process the food properly. and will increase it's value much.

The only other downside is that the meat processed goes outside the container, to where the spindle is. It gets messy even when only processing maybe half the container. This should be improved.

But other than that, it's a good food processor. Would recommend it to friend.

Versatile product – Love love love this product. I love that i can cut or shred all the different ingredients for a salad, mix a cake, make a smoothie all with the one appliance. Easy to put together and to change functions. It comes with a cardboard box i store all attachments in, except the chopper blade, i leave in the machine. It doesnt store its own attachments.

It has quite a large base which you would think would stabalise it when chopping but its a light machine do when doing the hard stuff you have to hold it still eg (chopping dates).
