Very….not happy Jan……AH Beard and forty winks – The mattress took 3mths to arrive in the forty winks store, before we could collect it. It sags considerably where the hips lay and is hard as a rock, there is also a big ridge running down the centre of the mattress. I have purchase a.h beard before and was happy with the Quality and comfort, mind you I paid 3x less for that one so imagine my disappointment. Just utterly disappointed to the point that makes it me feel ill knowing that this mattress cost point is $3600 and it was a forty winks sale where you get the partners side free, $1800 is still expensive for utter crap that you would of expected from a $300 matteress in a box.

The worst mattress I have ever slept on – I bought the King Koil Chiro Energy Medium from Forty Winks Crows Nest in July 2021. It seemed fine in the showroom but as soon as it was delivered I knew that I had made a big mistake in buying it. It offers zero support and sags badly when you lie on it. Your body sags down below the pillow top, right down into the base of the mattress. This caused me back pain and - weirdly- leg pain every night. I was in agony and could not sleep. And all this for a mattress that’s advertised as being part of AH Beard’s Back Care range. The mattress is also very hot - not ideal for Sydney weather. I lodged an official complaint on AH Beard’s website in August 2021 but that was more than a month ago and I haven’t received any reply. I can see from info provided as part of the complaints process that AH Beard will tell me that “sagging is a normal part of the settling-in process” and that the only solution they can offer is to “adjust the comfort level” (implying that it’s my fault). But both of these things are untrue and gaslighting. Not all mattresses sag. This is just a very badly designed mattress that should not be sold in Australia. I have since replaced the mattress at my own cost by buying a Dusk & Dawn Premier Mattress that is supportive and comfortable - everything that the King Koil Chiro Energy is not.

I contacted your customer care team - customercare@ahbeard.com - by email on 2 and 3 August. I provided lots of details and attached photos. isabel@ahbeard.com responded by email on 3 August asking me to fill out your ‘Service Claim’ form online, which I did. I’ve heard nothing since.
