Would give zero stars if I could. Purchased from Harvey Norman. The first few weeks were like sleeping on wood. Went back into Harvey Norman and told there was nothing they could do and it could take a few months to settle in. Cried nightly about my purchase as we did not have another option to buy or money to replace. Most uncomfortable mattress ever. After about 1 year the mattress started to sag. Has both imprints of my husband and I on both sides. We are 70 and 90kgs respectively, so not obese people however has permanent sagging on each side. A big hump in the middle. Tried rotating and flipping with nil improvement. Bought a mattress topper with some hope of reprieve. Slight improvement for a few weeks however now back to where we were. Do NOT waste your money. I wake up sore and stiff every morning. Harvey Norman were useless and had zero empathy and no recourse for any return. Wish I had purchased a mattress with a sleep guarantee. Devastated as we don't know when we will be able to replace. I have a single foam mattress my children use for sleepovers that I sleep on most nights,

Purchased at Harvey Norman.

Prior purchase being a ( Firm) King Koil Base and Chiro Flex 5 mattress while cared for, never moved, and treated with care being still within warranty, at least three springs along the edges of the mattress fractured , protruding through the sides of the mattress. This almost caused serious injury when my leg caught one while rising one morning.

On contacting the retailer, advice was to complete a faulty product application form and supply photographs to A H Beard manufacturer and subsequently advised a replacement had been approved. Notification of the replacement mattress chosen by them was a King Koil Chiro Resolve. On delivery this mattress was aired as suggested regarding possible odour as required in being encased in a plastic bag and which was done for a few hours prior to preparing for the night's rest. However, this mattress continued to exude an oppressive chemical smelling odour which on the first use interrupted sleep, resulting some morning in health issues, feelings of nausea, breathlessness, light headedness, burning throat, tingling tongue, sore eyes, but also an aching back as this mattress unlike the Chiro 5 seemingly sags and able to be depressed by hand, although the firm option same as prior.

Throughout the night, window was open and a fan operating. ( This usual unless weather patterns and changes). The bed was stripped again and aired for the day and at least three times since delivery 20 plus days ago. On researching as to what might cause such an ongoing odour ( having not experienced this before in purchasing other inner spring mattresses) it has becone apparent that VCOs or chemicals including fire retardants et al in mattresses today can be the cause, releasing of formaldehyde, Benzene, toluene and other compounds et al found in foam, glues and other materials. Need for " degassing" and mattresses in UK and USA tested for this and less toxic materials ( natural products) now available in mattresses. These compounds far from harmless in allegedly causing organ damage, affecting immune system or being carcinogenic. So why, when in recent years concerns about air pollution and increased awareness of toxins in our environment one any manufacturer of bedding in which we spend a third or more of our lives not be regulated and deemed safe rather than odours harmful to our health but simply cleared with an airing when in UK and USA at least two organisations which test this and quality control? These chemicals stated as potentially damaging to health and carcinogenic ?I have rewuested more info from the manufacturer and intend to remove this mattress. Also, re the back pain, mattress seems to lack adequate support, including the sides suich that it depressed at least 5-6cm if sat on when accessing the bed to sleep? I will not be requesting a replacement, if a healthier and safer option is not available and requesting a full refund. Why arre these mattresses still being sold retail and this one at less than half the price ( $4000+ regular price?) Original mattress Chiro flex 5 and base costing approx $3000 in mid 2010s

thanks. however the issue has been settled and mattress returned to the retailer who has kindly been dealing with it now. A new mattress of another make has been purchased, which has been tested and so hopefully no nasty chemical gases or odours to affect health. This issue has only taken a month to sort and hopefully will have the bed back to normal, and the assistance provided by a very special lady at Forty Winks Albury made it all happen. Am eternally grateful. It does beg the question as to why in our modern era and need for stricter quality control to ensure safe products, these issues seemingly more common today than ever in the past should occur.

Worst mattress EVER – $2300 strait to landfill. This is by far the worst mattress Ive ever slept on. Waking up with aches and pains all through my back and into my spine - the point of needing pain relief. Still sore all day long. I have never had a sore back before. We Physically couldnt sleep on it. Sadly, a very expensive mistake with no refund/change of mind options available. Forty winks Fyshwick said "its normal to be sore while getting use to it". This type of pain is not normal. For anyone. This mattress should be discontinued.

Purchased in at Forty Winks for $2,300.

AH beard told me that theres nothing they can do. They told me its normal for aches and pains and that I shouldnt compair "uncomfortable" with "unfamiliar". I physically cant walk in the morning with pain all through my spine, neck and shoulder blades......thats not "uncomfortable or unfamiliar'. Thats criminal to sell such a product.

AH beard told me Its non - refundable and theres nothing wrong with the mattress. Except for the fact - its absolutley impossible to sleep on. So disapointed. Will never recommend it and will turn everyone away I can from the morons at Forty winks fyshwick that sold me the piece of trash.

Plush top poor – this was purchased after being happy with a previous King Coil Chiro Entice Plush, both Harvey Norman models (but with a little effort the same can be found under a slightly different name at other retailers). Unfortunately unlike the Chiro Entice Plush which was really good and which makes you feel relaxed as you sink into it, this new Chiro Reserve Plush does not have a particularly plush or relaxing feeling even after 6 weeks of bedding in.

In fact we originally had the medium delivered (mix up - the mattress was labelled Plush in one spot and Medium in another and this was also the case for the first replacement so Manufacturing quality control has an issue here).

The medium was same thickness more or less as the plush and felt more supportive if a little firmer .

I am guessing the plush doesn't have higher but softer support but rather is just a medium with one thickness of harder foam omitted. There was a lot less off gassing with the plush compared to the Medium which supports this.

Also can't really feel the memory foam in action.

AH Beard and Harvey Norman Nunawading did look after the problem with mislabelled mattresses very helpfully so that very good service is a plus but I am thinking someone has implemented a cheapskate way to manufacture this Plush top....
