King Koil Ortho 15 years and still going great – I didn't know where to place this review because maybe they don't make the ORTHO model anymore but I saw that the previous review on this model Guardian, advising not to buy ANY King Koil. Well my wife and I can't agree. We have had this queen sized mattress for 15 years and it is just fabulous. Comfortable from day one till now. Ours is rated as "FIRM" but we felt that maybe it is more Firm/Medium. Anyhow, there may be valid complaints about particular models which we can't comment on since we haven't owned them all, but we certainly can't criticize the whole brand. Ours is, like I said, fabulous after 15 years. I will advise we are not heavyweights if that has any relevance. I am 75kg and wife about 65kg.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $1,200.

Waist of money – Do not buy a king coil.. sagging in just a month and they heat up making for uncomfortable sleeping. We spent $500 with king coil to fix the sag and in just a couple of months it was the same. And they offered no refunds

Hi Frank That doesn't sound right. Can you provide further information? The assumption based on the information provided is that the purchase is more than likely a softer feel mattress. If that is the case the performance profile of softer mattresses is to adjust quickly to the occupant. That means there are predictable body impressions as opposed to sagging. This is part of the design and performance profile of softer models in any brand, especially plush feel. How was the mattress selected? Temperature is a major sleep disruptor, and it happens in several ways. Specific factors, in combination, contribute to the overall temperature, are the following: a. Occupant sleeping hot or cold, b. Hot climate(geographic location), c. Ventilation d. Medication e. Life stage, f. Bed linen, g. Sleepwear h. Construction of the mattress. Depending on the type of mattress selected, there are temperature regulating components that help alleviate the temperature concern; a. AeroComfort, b. PCM c. Cool-touch fabric d. Naturally breathable fibres. The ideal temperature for sleep 15 to 21 degrees Celsius Could you please provide your case reference number in the DM part of this platform. Hi there , we had considered all your recommendations when we first began this journey to discomfort so they have all been well and truly considered. Like I said we already tried to reach out to you people we even spent $500 to have the mattress re fitted to a more firm level of comfort. At this point we have given up on any compensation or rectification, we are ready to put out the mattresses on the next hard waist collection and cut our losses. We just don’t want others to make the same mistake we made when purchasing this product.
Hi Frank Thank you for your reply. Choosing a mattress is difficult for sure. We sell hundreds and thousands of mattress every year both in Australia and overseas and there will be always a handful of customers that the mattress doesn't suit. This is not a reflection on our organisation or customer but moreover product fit. Much like customer prefer different products over others even though the function is the same. Sagged After a Month! – I purchased the 'King Koil Guardian Spinal Health Pocket Spring' Queen mattress and base from Bedsonline in March 2016 and it sagged after just a month! Very, very disappointing since our last King Koil which we purchased 12 years ago has been the best bed I have ever owned. Obviously they have let their standards drop dramatically over the past decade. It was also quite a hot bed which made sleeping uncomfortable.
Now I have to go through the extra drama and expense to swap this dreadful mattress for another. Not happy King Koil!
