Wow ..if only we had known – We also have a sad tale to tell. We bought our king coil latex about 8 years ago, and have had major sagging issues over the last couple. We are sleeping on the hard base of the bed (upside down) and are shopping for a replacement.. Seems like we couldn't do any worse and will spend a lot less this time. king koil tempo. Great bed that lasts – I originally brought this mattress about 18 maths ago and from the very first time we slept on it, it was a dream. I also have a thick mattress topper on it and to my delight it's like sleeping on a cloud and no matter what you do, it holds and supports you like the day it was new. Awesome job guys. Burning furnace in this mattress – Belated review of My old mattress Natural Response King Coil it was comfortable but the fire that burns inside the mattress was hellishly hot. I have the aircon set to 18 the fan on 2 , cotton sheets , cotton matress protector , but nothing worked. I could not sleep on it ..which defeats the purpose of a mattress! ..hence the one star . up turning it on to the hard side (not meant to sleep on) and put a matress topper on that till we could afford to buy another. .

Total rubbish – we bought our King Coil Natural Response Bed with motorised base after being told it was the best around only to find in less than a year the middle of bed became like jelly. I go back to Forty Winks to be told I have done something to it and it is our fault. $7990 and worst bed I have slept in. been in a $100 night hotel and I would swap my bed in a heart beat. Sorry no I wouldn't, as I don't want anyone else to wake up to aching lower back..

Worst purchase decision ever – We recently bought a king koil Francois firm after having been told that it was definitely a medium as opposed to firm mattress. was that we would have it for 10 years and now all I can think about is what a complete waste on money it was. We were told it was the best range of mattresses in the store (I would love to know what they get paid to say that!!) I wish I'd gone with a Sealy. Nothing. VERY uncomfortable.

Not very good – Was pretty good for a year or 2, then progressively got less comfortable. It was so expensive, I was reluctant to get rid of it, but eventually I have to because it is bad for my back now. Very heavy, a real hassle to move houses with or even to move in the house.

Wasted our money! – We avoided the old adage "you get what you pay for" so spent just under $3000 for what we believed was a quality mattress. We were told it would be hot so adjusted to this quite quickly, then after 6 months noticed that we were both sleeping in a hollow with a mountain between us. with pins and needles in our arms. We rotate the mattress once a month which is quite a chore as it is so heavy so has become a family activity cause you need four people minimum to shift it. Complained about the quite signficant hollows, around 7 cms in parts, to Forty Winks and they said that there was no regional salesman (we live in a large coastal regional nsw area so was hard to believe) and were referred to the Company. They said we would need to package and return at our expense to their Sydney factory, probably around $400.00, with a health report explaining what every stain on the mattress before they handled it! Can't they put gloves on when they inspect the mattress if they are so greatly concerned. Two of our friends have the same mattress and have also complained to the local Forty Winks all to be given whimsical solutions such as wedges under the mattress. One friend was actually told that the mattress could only support a weight of 85 kg! So much for warranty. We are continuing the fight. Good for the first 6 months Feels like your sleeping a hole and need to climb out of it, far to expensive for what you get and you won't get a good night sleep, can't wait to get out of it the morning.

King Koil – Warning - dont buy one , had it for about 3 years, notice sagging in the middle after about a year, now we sleep on a slope. So much for their warranty. You spend good money and only get junk. Going to try a memory foam mattress at least it is not a as expensive. Plus it is a very heavy mattress to handle. very little does not last as suggested

Terrible – Avoid at all costs. Bed sags and gets too hot. Cannot recommend it at all. How they can charge so much is beyond me. would wake up feeling too hot. Constantly hanging legs out the side to cool down. The bed also sags after about 6 months. Forty Winks said it was normal (of course they will say this). I told them that it was not pleasant waking up with sore backs, so they asked me to contact the supplier HR Beard. They came and inspected, took bed away and claimed they did nothing to it. But they did. They straightened it out to remove the big sag, but wouldnt admit it. This bed was very expensive, and they tell you it will last for 20 years. What they dont tell you is that it sags and you will get VERY VERY HOT. Have since got rid of it. Will never ever buy latex again.

I loved this mattress for about 6 months – Now my husband and I can't bear another night on it. Aching backs in the middle of the night, with the rest of the night "trying" to get comfortable. why the manufacturers can get away with it.

A very heavy mattress, and hard to make the bed. Uncomfortable for the last 18 months - had it 2 years now.

Our King Koil Chiropractic Medium is far too firm – Our new K/S King Koil bed, which said medium is too firm. My husband wakes up with sore hips and lower back. Terrible – I purchased a AH beard natural choice latex extrodinaire which cost in excess of $3500 dollars. it felt fantastic in the shop. it came with a 10 year warranty so i thought i couldn't go wrong. within 12months i had it returned but first i had to have it dry cleaned and pay for return which was costly. it was gone for 6months and they replaced the… Read more

pillow top as it was faulty. within return and next 6 months again returned and replaced bottom part. again returned for a third time and parts replaced. have had now for 4 years and saggy uncomfortable and wake up throughout night and cannot move as so sore from back pain. AH Beard state they offer warranty and peace of mind but they do not deliver on there statements. warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and are unhelpfulll. they also stated they have no way of testing faulty mattresses they just go on look and experience which is not reassuring. Be very wary of any product from this company as you will have no peace of mind from a warranty

Good – Loved it so much I want to buy another.. and I actually find the bed warmer in winter and cooler in summer I love this bed.. we've had our mattress for 5 years now and it's as comfortable as the day we bought it... I would like to buy another one but am unsure how I might contact the previous reviewer to see if they want to sell! I'm in Melbourne none at all

Bad – And the funny thing was forty winks said thats not normal until I said I bought it from them, then of course oh thats normal. Very weary of pillow tops now because Im hearing they all do it. until we get home because it hiding in packaging. Waiting for some big improvements before we buy again The luxury comfort at first. The price did not make the distance. Close on 12 months indetations formed and now they are so deep it feels like a pathetic old matress.

The promotinal wording fits this matress for about 12 months only

Very dissapointing

major body indentations after only approx. 3 years of use. I have followed instructions and rotate the mattress very regularly. It has the Grandma's feather bed hill in the middle.

It is also a very hot mattress, I have added a cotton matress protector to try and cool it down. Not working.

and was very disappointed, I was away the next night and he slept in the bed - but 4hrs into the night woke up uncomfortable as no support and too soft, and hot - he got up and went to other old bed next room. Next night gave it another go and then called it quits and pulled the mattress off and put the old one back (which we have had for over 15years).DO NOT BUY
